How cool is that!!! I called and explained how I know him and asked that he and his supervisor work on my electrical problem. The guys where on time in their really cool truck that I was really proud to have in front of my house. They were professional, curtious, clean, friendly and they fixed my problem that did not require extensive work or price. I felt great that my friend Jeremy works for this company because knowing him, he is intelligent, a good person and would not work for just anyone. So with that said, it was good enough for me. The price was below what I expected and I was able to apply the $25 off coupon for my first visit that I printed out from the email confirmation I received...that was a FANTASTIC surpise! Only being in this area 2 1/2 years I did not know of anyone to call. Now Mister Sparky is a company I will trust and use from now on and I urge you to give them a call and check them out for yourself. Called Double G Electrical company with an emergency because we had a chandelier that was falling,…read morehanging by 1 small srew. This happened after 7pm. The company assigned Hector. He arrived superfast with everything needed for the repair. We thought this job would be easy but when Hector stared to work we found out that the builder didn't attach the fixture to a 2×4 and used a plastic insert (not sure what it's called) to attach the chandelier instead of metal. Hector had to install all and worked with a smile on his face non stop until the job was completed over 3 hrs later. I highly recommend this company and they have earned my trust for future work. The price charged was very responsible. I will definitely be using them if we ever need any electrical work in the future. A very professional company. I have used Nextdoor Electric once for actual work and also obtained three quotes from them. My…read moreusual electrical company, Blue Electrical Contractors, was super busy so I decided to try Nextdoor based on their Yelp reviews. I had them take down an old outdoor ceiling fan from my back porch and install two new ceiling lights: one in the same spot as the ceiling fan and the other over the seating area to provide more light (see photo). The job cost $572 which I thought was a little bit high, but I wanted the work done. Two big issues with the job: First of all, the technician didn't install the round ceiling light insulation discs in each fixture (see photo) which is to my understanding required to meet Underwriters Laboratory requirements. (The insulation is used to reflect heat from incandescent bulbs.) He also cracked one of the plastic conduit hangers so that it was actually broke. I found the insulation thrown in the garbage and had to dig them back out and have the technician come back to put them in and replace the broken hanger. Also, wasn't really keen on the fact that he used plastic hangers vs. metal to hang the conduit. Another issue was that I wanted a multi-outlet switch in my garage changed out to a standard outlet; see photo. Nextdoor quoted me $187 to change it out. Caido, from Blue Electrical Contractors stopped by and I had him look at it. It was only a cover; Caido unscrewed one screw and the regular outlet was underneath. I could have done it had I known this. It took Caid 5 seconds to take the multi-outlet cover off and he didn't charge me a thing. Okay. This is ridiculous! $187??!! This shows me the technician from Nextdoor Electric didn't even know what he was quoting. I was speaking to Caido from Blue Electric about Nextdoor and how I will never use them again, but can't understand their great reviews. Caido was telling me that Nextdoor's reviews could be fake and/or purchased. I really am questioning these reviews. I will never have them do any work for me again. Go with Blue Electric the next time you need electrical work; I have used them for years.

Somebody came last week and checked the list of electrical work we needed done. He told my husband he's going to text the quote the following day. Fast forward to today (over a week later), we still haven't heard from them. My husband has called a few more times the last week and not a blip from them. I texted the owner's number last night and told him my hesitation in posting this negative review due to their extreme lack of communications. Still no response. As much as I like supporting local businesses, I'm also one who leaves reviews based on our experience (negative or positive). I don't recommend them and are now on the lookout for another reputable electrician.
