I drove to the store anyway, and a tech was going car to car talking as customers were not allowed in the store. Shopping was online, and then curbside pick up. I talked to the tech. The tech thought that the SIM card may not be connecting incoming numbers. I would need to have my sister and her phone with me for service since I was not on the account, as there are passwords. I went through pricing with the sales representative and he added a 24 month equipment charge plus the installment purchase down payment less the trade in fee of the iPhone 8 he gave me the hard figure of $437 for an iPhone 12. Today I reviewed my T-Mobile statement and my bill increased by $16.83 for 30 months (or $504.90) plus the initial purchase down payment. The bottom line is that I believe that the T-Mobile sales process is complicated on purpose. It's definitely a shell game intended to confuse clients and get you to pay more money. Next time around I'll buy a phone directly from Apple. I'm not sure how much it will cost but I bet the transaction will be more straight forward.
