I came in with the intention of purchasing a 55" tv or larger. I roamed the tv aisles/section for probably 8 minutes or so, casually walking by a store rep and what appeared to be someone of higher importance troubleshooting something, MULTIPLE times, without being acknowledged. Already perturbed, I stood for another couple of minutes appearing to need help within eyeshot of both of the men. They started to walk away when the "senior" gentleman finally acknowledged me. He sent a rep over to me. I explained I wanted 55 or 65 inch tv preferably Samsung or LG, QLED tech, and open box if possible. He took me over and without asking any more questions showed me an OLED. Far outside what I anticipated paying, when there are clearly other 55" QLED options. When I asked him about the Samsung 55" QLED in the back of the stack of open box TVs, I was told that it wasn't a good tv. I'm no expert but I certainly would want to know if my people were going straight to "not a good tv" rather than "what do you like about that one?" The man also could not get to his water bottle quick enough. Sipped on it during the experience. I asked a few more questions to give him another shot but he also disparaged other TVs. I couldn't leave fast enough. I did not get any of their names but this was around noon today. I LOVE shopping for toys like that, but this experience was not how you please your customers and get them to come back. read more

Horrible service! ALL of their calls go to a call center and they cannot connect you with the actual store. I bought a laptop and paid-in-full. I'm still waiting for them to process my order for pick up. I went there and they couldn't give it to me because they claim that my payment hasn't been authenticated yet. But it shows they have it from my account. just a bunch of BS!! They lied to me! Now they've delayed this for an entire day and closing within the hour. I won't shop at Best Buy again. We subscribe to their Geek Squad membership. We had an issue with the work completed by the on-line agent for our laptop. She actually ended the call as I believe she realized what she did! I called back and the second agent t got me to a specialist which now required we to bring my laptop to the store. It appears as though they are going good on "undoing" what was done. Rudeness might be the best topic to start with. I did use a mild cuss word in front of Tim, but instead of merely asking me to stop doing so, he reacted a bit defensively. I apologized, and did not use a cuss word again. But the experience I endured a few hours prior to going to the store in Macedonia would tend to upset anyone. I ordered in good faith on Aug. 27 2025 would tend to make anyone very upset. I received the item from Best Buy refurbish purchase plan, thinking I could fully trust a Best Buy option to purchase a used unit. I didn't know at the time, that it was to be a 3rd party which was to handle the process. I fully knew at time of purchase that I wanted to return an item, I couldn't return it at the store. So why did i return to the store? Because the help site. told me I could go to any BB to return. There was not a single piece of paper in the shipment box. So what to do and what was the reason I wanted to return it? Because the item wasn't the model I claim I ordered and had reason that they typed in, intentionally or not, a cheaper model and fairly knew it would be difficult to return it. How right I was, unfortunately. After about 1 1/4 hrs. at the store, no return. Next day, contacted CNBcomputers and about the first thing they said was that I would have to go through the vendor whom I purchased it from---of course that was Best Buy, to return it. Eventually after much waiting, I was finally able to get cnbcomputers to email me a printable return label----after waiting over three hours, and a reply from me asking why no email, they finally sent it. Bottom line. I know now to never even think about the BB Marketplace process. I doubt if I'll ever shop at a Best Buy again, but if so, only for items in store. I begged a help person at BB to past on to higher management to never do business with cnbcomputers again. Confusing I know, but if you read this, thanks. I've been a 25+ year customer of Best Buy and have never returned anything while spending tens of thousands of dollars. Be aware if you buy any computing device from them, even if they sell you the wrong product that does NOT work appropriately, they will stand behind their 15 day return policy and do nothing to help their customers. Even worse; if an item is no longer sold by a manufacturer, which happens all the time in consumer electronics as part numbers change and new models are introduced, they will again NOT allow a customer to return an item that has been superceded. Even though that definitely is NOT the customers fault or issue. BestBuy sold a laptop that my son needed for engineering college, and we gave them a requirement list that specified we had to have a dedicated graphics card. The machine they sold us had an integrated graphics card and locks up constantly. They refuse to do anything which is terrible. Shame on you, Best Buy! read more

I bought a phone on Saturday and changed carriers from AT&T to Verizon. I was having issues with receiving text messages and emails. I called Verizon and they said the set up was incomplete and they needed the AT&T transfer PIN. I went to the AT&T store, and was on hold and on the phone with AT&T for over 40 minutes. Finally, they said they couldn't help me. UGH! SO.... I went to Best Buy, where I bought the phone, and was really angry by that time. Michael was awesome. He calmed me down from actually wanting to be THAT woman, and he was so patient. He called both Verizon and AT&T, and between all 3 of them, my phone is up and running again. We bought a 65" wall mounted TV, $1500. That included a wall mount device plus installation service. We were told they would come between 7am and 11am. They never showed. No communication. My husband called inquiring and initially was told, "I have to check into it". Best Buy never called back. 2 1/2 hrs later he inquired again and was told, "No need to call again, we will update when we have more information". 3 hrs later, at 5:30pm, he called again and Best Buy said, "Delivery order cancelled because of tech capacity". They offered to cancel the order but we really want this TV and service that we paid for already. They rescheduled for 3 days later with a window of 7am to 7pm. They replaced a broken cell phone I had purchased there with a new one. Set it up and programed it to my car. No charge. The employees greet you at the door and ask how they can help and guide you to the best employee that can solve your needs. They have repaired my computer and up dated the hard drive. Today I went to purchase the new I pad Gen 6 , I was in the store , the apple department for 15 minutes and no one addressed me. I asked an employee if they could call someone over to assist, no one came up o help me. I asked for the manager and was pointed in his direction. I discussed with the manger that no one was helping me his response was they cut out hours and we only have two sales people to help and they are with other customers. As I looked around the store I did not see anyone helping or assisting customers. Anyway I left Best Buy and purchased my item somewhere else. Hopefully this store can get their act together because this is how companies beginning to the end start! They take time to answer all questions and offer in depth explication prior to making a purchase. These guys seemed to care more about the customer making an informed decision than trying to push a certain model on to me. What a disappointment.....Today, my family and I went to Best Buy at Macedonia, Ohio, to purchase over $1,500.00 dollars in computer equipment for my child's up and coming college beginning in the fall. We have done MORE than our amount of research in what to purchase, so, no problem there. We waited for 15 minutes until someone with a head mic and clipboard approaches us and asked, 'Has anyone helped you yet....I'll call St*#@ over, he knows this department.' He calls St*#@ and walks away.....St*#@, never shows up. So, I spy with my little eye another employee by the back wall moving a big ladder and ask him does he work in this department?...He tells me 'No, but is more than equipped to help us.' So, I'm like...Okay...and then he comes over and muddles around the laptops with my husband and soon to be college student. My child tells him what he wants and the color of the the laptop. This so called experts tells us, 'that they are all out of stock of that color, but can sell us the black or platinum. However, if we really are hooked on that color then he can order it and ship it to our house, but it will take 4 to 6 weeks.' So, I speak up and say to this guy (which has the same name as one of the main characters in the series Friends), we checked on line before coming here and it says that you have 45 in stock. So, he starts telling us about the price that we are looking at isn't for the one we want, but for another computer that is similar but a different color. Before I could utter the words, 'You are an idiot', my husband tells him that the computer is the platinum, but my son wants the keyboard with the attached covered in the red. The employee's response...'Oh!' Really dude... So, we get the laptop, the stylus, keyboard, micro-soft office card, and epson printer. Now, off we go to the check out....so, not only did the dude not know how the laptop comes with/without the cover and attached keyboards in different colors, but his floor supervisor tells me that he's very knowledgeable and understands the equipment. My response to this supervisor is, 'apparently not he didn't even now at the keyboard cover in attachment comes in different colors'. This same floor supervisor then tells me, 'that he was just probably confused and didn't understand what you meant.' To my readers...Did you ever see that movie, 'Dumb and Dumber?' Before, I go into the warranties they try to sell you... As for the employee that shares the same name as one of the characters on the show 'Friends', he starts ringing up everything, but strangely enough the prices of the keyboard/cover, and stylus are coming up full price. However, on the Best Buy web site, they are hugely discounted. My husband tells him that they are not coming up on sale, and shows R*$$ the web site. He adjusted the price and saved over $50.00. Now, onward and downward to want really was the icing on the cake...The WARRANTIES.... Well back to the, bend you over and up-charge the heck out of you with warrante covers on the laptop, and the keyboard, and the stylus, and the printer, and micro-soft wants to charge it's customers an annual fee of 70 bucks a year to support their Windows...REALLY...F-ING...REALLY!!! Now, our purchase for everything was going to run $1,500.00, but with all the warrante's is now over a whopping $2,000.00 plus+++. Even after we said, NO...NO...NO...and...NO, he had to add to our conversation, 'We have a finance plan that can spread out your payments over time. WTH DUDE...just because we didn't buy the warranties and wouldn't let you take advantage of us doesn't for one second mean that we're poorer than dirt and need you kind help with our poverty stricken selves...So, people of the world, if you don't want Best Buy to think that you're poorer than dirt and can't afford their itty-bitty computer, with the over price stylus, and the cool looking keyboard, than make sure you purchase as much warranty contracts as possible. Oh, did I mention after 20 minutes of R*$$'s peer pressure tactics, that I had to tell him...'I don't respond to high pressure sales tactics and have walked away from purchases many times.' Thus, he backed off and we finished the sale. Now it's time to put everything in the bag, but surprise, there is no bags stocked at the computer station, where we just spent a little over $1,500.00, so we walk over to another station (with all of our stuff in our hands) and checks another station, no luck on bags, finally at the fourth station they had a bag for us. NO, on the warranties - and NO, on giving micro-soft any permission to charged me an annual fee for software that comes with updated and the redesigning of the wheel, so to speak, of their bells and whistles. So, we just purchased a one-time fee of micro-soft for $130.00. Most colleges used Google docs, anyway, because it's free. But, just to be sure - we lined Bill Gates's pocket with an extra $130.00....like the man needs it, because he is such a hardship case. read more

I like being able to talk with PEOPLE who know about the products being sold. Best Buy has become my Go-To source for many things. Home Depot and Lowes often offer little to no help. (Even if a person shows up at HD or L, that person usually knows little about the products. First, Best Buy helped me "cut the cable cord" when a nice rep walked me though setting up an antenna and streaming device. I was so please with that transaction, that I went back to Best Buy when it was time for a Washer & Dryer. Again, I was treated to a knowledgeable person who could answer all sorts about the products. Really like this store!! read more

The Macedonia Best Buy is a great location of a great chain. This location is located near Macedonia Commons near the intersection of 8 and 82. The location is smaller than others in the area, but it's also newer and cleaner looking. My biggest criticism with this location is because of it's size, it's selection is a bit limited compared to other area locations. The staff is helpful and friendly. As with any electronic superstore, you can get almost any mainstream gadget you wish, whether it's via the store or the website. Overall, if you need to get a gadget of some sort or want to drool over the latest home theatre setup, head to your nearest Best Buy. If you're nearest Best Buy is Macedonia, you'll have a nice, relatively new store to go to and spend your paycheck. read more

After recently moving to Ohio my husband and I were in search of a new washer and dryer. We went to Home Depot and Lowe's and felt invisible. We received absolutely no greeting nor customer service. We then left and went to Best Buy, where we were immediately greeted at the front door and shown all the new washers and dryers. Brandon was our sales person and we received excellent customer service. Our appliances arrived today and the installers were fantastic. We will be shopping at Best Buy more often. read more

I haven't had this bad of an experience at a retail establishment in a long time. I went to this location because they had an item in stock, that I wanted. I was exchanging a gift that I received at a corporate event, where over 40 vendors raffled off gifts. I won an Xbox chat headset, that I didn't need. I brought it to this location to EXCHANGE the item for a different item, in which I was going to pay the difference. I approached the customer service desk to be met by an, admittedly new, customer service representative. I explained that it was a gift that I wanted to exchange. He kept the item while I retrieved the item I wanted to purchase. When I returned, he explained that he refunded the item to the PayPal account. I don't have a paypal account! I wanted to EXCHANGE the item. The new employee got his trainer who stated she couldn't do anything now that it was already refunded to, God only knows who, originally purchased the item. I asked to speak with the store manager who said that he couldn't help me since the money eas already refunded and apologized that I dealt with the "new guy". I called corporate customer service who said they couldn't help me. Corporate customer service didn't understand why the manager wouldn't help me. I asked for my original item back, since I didn't return it, but they wouldn't give it to me. I am beyond furious. I run a 5-star rated business and I wonder how many of these other reviews, of this store, were fabricated. I feel like I just got robbed. I was given a gift and it was taken by Best Buy! In my opinion this store used to be one star. Poor customer service being my biggest complaint. It was so bad that I vowed not to go back and began going to the one in cuyahoga falls. Then one day, in a pinch, I went back.....and I am very happy that I did. The store has a new management staff and it truly shows. Night and day! One person truly stood out who handled my questions, concerns and requests. Her name is Alexsys (sp). I told her how I had boycotted this store and really appreciated what she had to say and how she treated me. And its apparent that this makeover has influenced the rest of the store's associates. I would highly recommend that you never purchase an extended warranty from this company. They do not stand behind what they sell. My husband purchased a roomba on sale for 300.00 about 11 months ago. He also purchased a 4 yr warranty for 140.00. He was told that should the roomba break all he had to do was bring it back to Best Buy and they would replace the product. Well after 11 months, the roomba stopped picking up dirt. I took it back to the Macedonia store. I was told that the corporate policy changed and that it was no longer a replacement warranty and that they had to send it out for repair first and if it could not be repaired, they would replace it. They told me that corporate changed its policy. I said well you don't sell something to someone and then say, hey I'm sorry, we lied, we changed our minds. They then checked in the device and told me it was actually still covered under the manufacturer's warranty and did I want the repaired or replacement sent back to my home from the manufacturer. I said that would be great but if the manufacturer sent me a new device, it would not have the same serial number as the current device and I would therefore not have my four-year Best Buy extended warranty for $140.00 and they said well once you use the warranty one time, you loose the extended warranty. I said, well you just told me it would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty, so I should be given the opportunity to still have the warranty my husband paid $140.00 for and then another clerk said oh he was mistaken it is going under geek squad. I said it is only 11 months old so it is not going under geek squad. Then he said oh the manufacture will change the extended warranty serial number in the geek squad system. I am not ignorant. Roomba cant change things in Best Buy's computer system. I then proceeded to ask for a manager and explained everything. She said it was corporate policy once you used the warranty one time you lost the extended warranty. But then I said again, "I am not even using my extended warranty" you are sending back using the manufacturer's warranty. She said she was sorry if someone told my husband that he would get a replacement. The policy for vacuum repairs. She said she could not do anything about the $140 extended warranty. I proceeded to tell her that there certainly was something she could do about it, but she was choosing not to. The fact that they are taking advantage of people like this is absolutely ridiculous. The manager was rude and arrogant. Watch what you purchase and definitely don't waste your money on extended warranties, because they will change their policies or tell you that you don't have one because you returned it to the manufacturer's warranty. I hardly used this machine and it should have lasted longer than 11 months and they should stand behind what they sell. Finally, if you sell a 4 yr warranty, it is a 4 yr warranty. Never once did they say 4 yr warranty, only if you never use it read more
