Apparently an error message came up and then the phone froze on the google screen. She asked me if the back came off (because she didn't know) and unfortuately for me it did not come off. She then told me I could try bringing it to a nearby business for a factory reset. I asked how much that would cost but she didn't know. She then tried to suss out if I would buy a new phone because she didn't know how to fix the phone I brought in. That was just about the worst thing she could have done at that time. Thankfully my old phone still worked so at least I didn't leave there with less than what I came in with. Would've been nice if she knew how to get my new phone working but she didn't.

So I went there today. The woman working in the store today was completely uninterested in helping us. She got the new sim card and threw it on the table. My son was asking her for help and again could barely look up and answer his question. He said his phone was still not working. Her "technical" opinion was that it was the phone. She offered no further advice or help. She had to have been the laziest Customer Service Rep I have ever come across. I am due for an upgrade soon. I will go anywhere else to get my upgrade....there is no way I will ever step in that store again. If I owned that store I would fire her. If she is that lazy with me she that lazy with other customers.

We talked for awhile, got the problem diagnosed, the guy at the desk called the owner to confirm the part being ordered, great. Get to a week later, I call back about the part because I need it replaced. "Oh, $, we never got that ordered. I was mowing my lawn when he called me and..." Oh boy. Not good. Let's review: * Immediately refunded my deposit * Continued investigation and found they DID get it ordered * Did not demand a new deposit * Continued tracking the package, even though it seemed to be lost - well beyond the expected Tuesday-Wednesday timeframe. * It arrived while I was at work, really didn't have time to fix it. But he called me up to let me know and we worked out a time - he personally promised to set that time aside for me. I showed up, he confirmed it was the right screen, we went through some tests - it was glitchy - then he rebooted and it seems to have unglitched. As I now touch my screen to confirm, Device Surgeon got it done. They fought the mail, they put the customer first, and navigated a tricky situation successfully.
