The staff at this T-Mobile store have been really helpful with answering my questions when I needed to add an extra line to the family plan and for international data plans. They are always busy so the wait time can be more than 10 minutes sometimes but when it's your turn, know that you can take as much time as you need and they're not going to rush you. For adding an extra line, they looked up a few plans, listed the pricing as well as trade in credit. For the international phone plans, same thing, they wrote down my options and then also gave me to number to call to enable the plan on the devices that would be traveling. For enabling a new phone, the process takes much longer but it's great to know that you can still talk to people in person for services instead of trying to figure it out online cause the website can be confusing. They are in Market City and the parking is not great. The lot is usually packed and the spaces are very tiny. I recommend parking by Ben Franklin and walking up. read more

The people standing next to me were complaining that they were waiting a long time. I asked if they had put their name on the waitlist and they did. It's the friendliest well personally I've never had problems at any location but literally as you open the door they immediately greet you with a genuine smile even when they're busy it's just a warm greet I consistently receive. Knock wood I basically never have issues...only lose my phone *sob!* though today is Tuesday and what do we get...deals!!! One of the perks I never really told advantage of until about a year ago but the app is needed to enjoy it all. Getting here at Market City Shopping Center is east as they have multiple entrances though they are located on the upper level and parking can get filled though with patience and timing it's not very hard to find. This review actually goes out to T-Mobile support located in the Philippines . I don't have an address for them so I just went ahead and used a T-Mobile location. To all you T-Mobile customers if you don't know this already as of last Year the auto payment on your account needs to be a debit card only. Originally I had a credit card to bill my monthly statement although T-Mobile changed it. So I recently received my statements in the mail and then mail them a business check for payment. Here's the problem my bill is due on every 11th of the month but I do not receive my statement until the 4th or 5th of the month so it's cutting it close. So today I decided to call customer support and I was connected to a call center in Philippines. My pet peeve I hate talking to Philippines call center because many companies use them because it's a lot cheaper than U.S.A. Hawaiian Airlines, some Hotels etc. So any way I talked to an agent named Leo he listen to my concerns but actually couldn't help because he said he cannot change the billing cycle . He advised me that I can go into a store location and pay for my bill although there will be a $5 service fee. So that was our conversation. About 1 hour went by a received a call from supervisor Sherwin . He explained that Agent Leo explained my situation to him and this supervisor Sherwin went over and beyond to my expectations. He advised he's very sorry about the billing situation although since I'm a T-Mobile customer over 10 years he's going to apply a credit of $5 per line . I have 7 lines including my I-Pad so that's $35 per month discount . I was very surprised plus Sherwin said he'll make an exception and I can use my credit card for future billing . So just want to shout out to Leo and Sherwin from the Philippines customer support for providing excellent customer service over and beyond. What a way to start my 2024 New Years by saving money LOL! We drove from Kahala to Market City's T-Mobile to be serviced properly. Immediately upon entering store, Daniel checks us in, then asks us what we need? I asked I need a new screen protector and politely said, "Let us see what we can do?" The were two other people that were quick after buying new phones. When it came our turn, Jose looked at my phone and grab the product and asked another associate on how to ring up a warranty item. It was fast, swift, and no nonsense with a wait time of ten minutes. He made sure the screen protector was on with removing all air bubbles. Unbelievable! I told them what happened at Kahala and immediately they apologized for their inappropriate behavior and said that I was justified for being upset. They were wrong and tried to cover uit up. I'm referring all my friends to Market City because of the support, not only for customer, but each other....close team work. Everyone must wear masks, 6 ft a part at front door. We had a great experience today at T-Mobile Market City. In our 20+ yrs as members of T-Mobile, we've never received assistance like we did today. We were helped by Estin and Elijah, both wonderful and attentive workers. Estin truly went above and beyond to make our experience truly exceptional without making us feel pressured. All of our questions were promptly and adequately answered. We usually frequent the Hawaii Kai location due to proximity to our home but will now be making the drive to town just to work with Estin for any and all future tech needs. Highly recommend these two workers; they're worth braving the town traffic and tight parking! read more

5 stars for patient, knowledgeable and non-condescending associates. The 3 times we came in, we were helped wonderfully by the young men there. Smart women work there, too. Could hear their interactions with other clients. Got 3 cell lines for $120, but had to close another carriers account, switch sim cards, unlock several phones, adjust settings on a foreign phone and something else and it was done quickly, easily and confidently. I was intimidated to break apart my phone myself, and they did all the weird technical setting adjustments. I needed their help and feel so good someone would be there. Thanks. I'll give it a four only because of accessories selection. I just there was more to choose from. When shopping for a phone I would like to be able to get all the accessories immediately and walk out with everything. We did just that but it was a little slim pickings on selection. That being said the customer service was good. We waited for maybe ten minutes but it wasn't that bad once we were able to look at the phones up close. I was kinda hoping for a Labor Day sale but nope. They had an activate a new line and get the second new line activation fee waved. That was cute but a hard pass. We got the new line and purchased the iPhone 12 Pro 128 GB for $1200.00. We were able to get a case to protect the phone. Keiki #5 was elated to say the least. For his first phone he was very happy. The store is kinda spacious where social distancing was do-able. The counter space however was a little tight. We do prefer this location over any other as we always get great customer service. They don't BS you and they're not rude like the one in Kam shopping center. I bought my phone here two years ago. My mom got her phone from here a few months ago and now my last child has his. I highly recommend this location for T-Mobile. We live in Palolo and have several options but this is our pick. Happy shopping people. read more

The best part is having free data in 200+ countries and destinations when I travel. It's 3G to 4G, not the fastest but does the job for GPS, looking up places, or contacting Uber when you're not in the U.S. Good and free data in Japan and Europe, extremely slow in India. Most times I could find Wi-Fi routers and connect for free while traveling. The Market City Shopping Center staff are the best! I'm promptly greeted, their customer service is excellent. Whoever is training them is doing a great job! Give these people a raise! My name and request are taken down and within a few moments a staff quickly helps me out. Avoid calling in, the line is usually busy. I recommend using their chat service or going into a T-Mobile store instead. Don't go there on the weekend if you rather not wait, it gets busy. But that's a whole nuther story. The young worker who had the bad luck of pulling my number tried his best to help me, but was unable to navigate the byzantine Tmobile billing system. He made zero commission dollars off of me, but still treated me like a princess. Much respect to this man and the whole team who had his back. Helpful hint to consumers: Don't take your rage out on service workers. Give them the dignity they deserve and they'll do their best to help you. I have visited many a locations in Honolulu and the mainland, overall lots of helpful, smart young associates to help you get plans and phones. For some reason, my 2 phones had programming issues that needed a professional to adjust the settings. All in all, this location is well versed in my phone LTE setting issue and resolved it at first crack. My second phone was taken to other locations and only until I brought it here was the issue finally resolved. Very good training here. read more

I really appreciated her trying to fix my broken phone. Lol. But the charger cord just wouldn't fit anymore. I think it was telling me I needed an upgrade anyways. lol. I never write those things, but this is a special occasion so will make an exception. This is the the sort version of the story. Today is Saturday, on Thursday I talk to T-Mobile on the phone, I added a line to my already existing account and add another device for that line. On the phone they told me I'm gonna get the new phone on Saturday Obviously it didn't arrive on Saturday. I call the customer service and after an hour talking to them we figured out that the best solution is to go to the T-Mobile store and get the device from them. I got their at 6:45pm, the store manager was the one who "help" me. He did want to honor the numbers they gave me over the phone, so I had to call customer service again. Because I was over the phone I step outside on the open air, so I can pull my mask down a little so I can talk on the phone. I didn't want to do that in the store, not to risk anybody or to make any of the other customers feel uncomfortable. It took me 40 minutes to get to a supervisor who can explain the store manager what to do. But at that point they locked the doors on me and refused to let me in. He didn't even open the door just for me to talk to him and explain the situation, all while I was with their on customer service on the line. And not only that, he even called the security guy (which was very nice, and was just doing his job) on me. Worst customer service I ever got, the most disrespectful store manager I ever seen. No one deserves being treated like that, even the T-Mobile supervisor on the phone didn't believe it and filled a complaint against this store manager. After that experience I would never recommend anyone to T-Mobile. Stay away from them, especially from that store read more

Salt location said they do not know how. This location called their internet support staff and fixed my problem. Kudos to the last tech that serviced me. I've gone down for several plan changes and device activation/de-activations and generally there has been little to no-wait for service. Decided to find a T-Mobile store to go that I hoped would be more helpful like my previous T-Mobile store at Alakea Downtown that is now closed down. My friend Ryan used to work there and gave me great customer service. Went to the T-Mobile at Market City Shopping Center. It was very fast to have Logan there to helped me right away. He was very friendly and help me decide what would be best choice on my new phone. Had to wait awhile for transfer of data to new phone, but gave me a chair to sit while waiting. T-Mobile presented itself as the Un-Carrier for so many years, trying to be the fresh friendly face to the telecommunications industry for a couple of decades at least. I know I'm a fan for sure. I've been with T-Mobile for so many years now that it's been of value to me whenever I make a call or being perpetually online. I do enjoy the unlimited internet deal, especially when the internet is basically 24/7 (depending on your plan). More recently, I came to this T-Mobile location here at the Market City shopping center in the Kaimuki district of Honolulu to see what my options are in upgrading my existing iPhone 8 to the newest iPhone 11. I was surprised that they were selling the newest iPhone for $700 at the time, which is quite interesting. After hearing the T-Mobile employee explained it to me, I opted to keep my phone until the price drops (hopefully significantly) in the next 2 years. I also asked the staff here about the international calling, if I needed to tell T-Mobile my travel plans before I head overseas. I assumed it was like a credit card, but it was more like car insurance. Once you purchase it, you're free to use it when you go. Thanks to the T-Mobile staff for helping me with that. The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to phones, plans, and any nuance of billing questions you may have. The overall experience here at this T-Mobile location here at the Market City shopping center was quite nice and casual. I entered here on a brisk Sunday late afternoon in May 2020 before looking for dinner options in the area. Passing through here really did help me with my future travel plans - whenever this COVID-19 pandemic is over and dusted. T-Mobile's physical location seemed to mirror the Apple store with plenty of phone cases for sale, but without the iPhone models on display. This T-Mobile location is virtually spotless and has plenty of space for people to maneuver to interact with the T-Mobile staff. Quite immaculate actually. I spent about 45 minutes here and was pleased with my experience here. This T-Mobile location is physically situated at 2919 Kapiolani Blvd in Honolulu, Hawaii. They accept major credit cards for all purchases, but it helps if you already have a T-Mobile account - just to see if you're in line for an upgrade, discount, or something legit. T-Mobile is one of the 4 major telecommunications giant, having recently merged with Sprint. They will fight for your business and there's always a friendly face here, if you need that extra help explaining stuff on your billing statement. If you are in the neighborhood and want a good deal on a Phone or a phone plan, consider coming to T-Mobile. It's quite awesome and prices aren't too bad. Parking can be a pain sometimes here at the Market City shopping center, but best bet would be to come during the non peak times to secure a spot right in front of the store. If you are like me, several routes come through the area, a couple stopping under the H-1 overpass, while others stop in the back of the shopping center, fronting Kaimuki High School on Kaimuki Avenue. And others stop on Waialae Avenue, just depends on which route you take. The routes are 1, 1L, 9, 13, and 14 that I know of. I'll likely purchase my next iPhone here when that opportunity arises, but for now, I'm glad that I got the information I needed to make an informed decision. I also checked out their phone cases they had for sale, but unfortunately for me, they were all made for Android devices. T-Mobile is a national network with their global partners. went on vacation and my screen on my phone stopped working after I dropped my phone, and I didn't wanna lose my stuff, someone recommended me Tricked out, so I went to ask if they could do something about it, and then the young woman in the front, I believe was the manager, helped me out immediately and was able to replace the screen and batteary while I was at it since it wasn't receiving full charge, now it's like New!! This store is larger and more spacious than most TMobile stores. It was clean and well-organized. The staff here was very friendly, and the associate who assisted was very helpful and thorough, and attentive to my questions and needs. There were a lot of details and offers and services TMobile provides and the associate went through them very clearly. I'm looking at their website right now, and they in fact have it in stock. Dude tried to up sell me to a different phone, and then tried to save the sale saying that the Pearl Highlands store was the only one with it in stock. Every store has it in stock. Rather than simply activating a new line, dude lost out completely on my business because of whatever scheme he had thought he could play me. Nope. Avoid him. read more

I stopped by this place 2x within several days and primarily dealt with Tyrone, the store manager here. First, I was advised to come here after the Beretania Safeway ran out of the model I wanted but my pure coincidence they had a blackout. Not knowing when it'll be back up again, Tyrone arranged to have the phone plus case transferred over to the Beretania. I came back again today as I wanted the last case the store had (Beretania location was out-of-stock) and to thank Tyrone again. The service extended to me went beyond my expectations. I am also in the customer service industry and was very pleased with such topnotch service. As a T-Mobile customer who lives in town, this is my preferred store: - Parking in the Market City Shopping Center (though Beretania has more). - The service is pretty good here (Alakea is not bad too). - Free Wi-Fi and good eats nearby make it a convenient destination :) Experience can be up and down (they hire UH students who come and go it seems) like any business; however, this store has been pretty solid for the last few years when it comes to customer service for the 5 lines we have. They are pretty helpful with our endless questions, provided assistance and info where Beretania could not, and have not been pushing us to upgrade to any of the newer plans at any time after looking at our current and future needs and costs. Overall, the service my family has received over the years makes it pretty easy to recommend this location to other family and friends. read more

This is the third time I've actually came into this store and walked out happy! This time around I was helped by a women named Rachel? Or Rachelle something like that lol (sorry). Anyway! Walked in and specifically wanted to get a phone for my niece. She's 8 so really I didn't want to spend much, but I just needed something for her to take to school and call me to let me know they're ok. I told her my intentions and then of course we opted for the iPhone SE. Similar to an iphone5 in size but does everything the 6's do. I also got the smart projector. Which said ZERO down, but apparently t-mobile didn't update the system so I had to put $100 down for that. I didn't mind because Rachel was straight up with me and didn't beat around the bush.
