I wish I could put a negative star! To say I had a horrible experience at this Beretania Street store with Kevin is an understatement! What happened with Kevin was extremely disappointing and, quite honestly, raised serious concerns for me about integrity and trust. He told us that we needed a tracker in order to upgrade my daughter's phone at the lowest cost. What I later discovered was that he had actually added FIVE trackers to my account, while only telling me that we needed one. He also told me my bill would only increase by $15 per month for two years. I later discovered that it would actually have increased by $30 per month for three years. I was never given a receipt or documentation for the changes he made to my account, and he even told me that I was not authorized to make changes online to my own account. I told him I pay the bill but I'm not authorized?!? Go figure!! Kevin also claimed that the upgrade was taking extra long because of all of these "issues" on my account. Looking back, I have serious concerns about the accuracy and transparency of the information I was given. That is not okay. I trusted that he was helping us get the best deal, only to discover that what I was told was not accurate. If I had known the truth, I never would have agreed to those additional trackers or the terms of the upgrade. Because of how the situation was handled, I had to spend another two hours of my time that evening and the next day--time that is valuable to me--going into another store and chatting with T-Mobile to get Kevin's actions corrected. Unfortunately, my experience at the Kunia store wasn't much better. The employee who helped me seemed as though she didn't want to be there and was simply going through the motions of correcting Kevin's mistake. There was no friendliness, empathy, or apology for the situation I was having to deal with. I was already frustrated by what had happened, and the lack of concern from the person helping me only added to the poor experience. I am grateful that she took care of the issue without pushing back or trying to "save the sale," but I would have appreciated a genuine apology and some acknowledgment of what I had just gone through. The one bright spot was Sam S., who was extremely helpful, took the time to listen, and ultimately helped rectify the situation. I'm genuinely grateful that I was able to chat with him and get his help. But I should never have had to spend two additional hours correcting something that happened because of how Kevin handled my account. This wasn't simply a misunderstanding or poor customer service--it was a situation where I was given misleading information, products were added to my account that I did not understand I was agreeing to, and I was not provided documentation of the changes. T-Mobile needs to do better. Customers should be able to trust that employees are being completely honest, transparent, and ethical about what they are adding to an account, especially when it affects what we pay. What happened with Kevin has significantly impacted my trust in T-Mobile, and therefore I will not recommend the company to anyone else. read more

I'm especially grateful for my insurance that covers a free screen protector anytime I need it, such a lifesaver. While I was there, I asked about possibly upgrading my phone or filing a claim for a refurbished replacement. David recommended refurbishing my current phone first, then upgrading to a brand-new phone for only $15 a month for a year, which is honestly a great deal. I've been a T-Mobile customer since I was 11 years old and I'm 30 now, and I've never had an issue. People talking about Calvin as a good sales person he's the one that talked me in to getting the promo that dirt bag. Beware of their promotions. He tricked me into opening up two lines to get a promotion on a new phone. I specifically told him If the promo involves adding additional payment to the account I don't want it. Sneaky bastard obviously lied about it. I ended up adding the additional lines that add more payment to my monthly bill. Know what you're getting into before taking him up on any offer. Lesson here don't do any phone promos unless you're starting a new plan. If you're grandfathered in don't fall for their bs promos. Just pay for the phone outright like I should have. read more

Two things in life are a chore to shop for: cars and cell phone plans. If you're buying one of those things, be prepared to wait and to question your choices. Fortunately, when we made the overdue decision to switch phone providers, we chose the Beretania store to help us set up our T Mobile plan/account. We arrived mid-afternoon and the store was not too busy. Ikaika jumped in to help us right away and was great about answering our questions in detail and explaining everything about the process. While there were a lot of details to deal with, Ikaika was good about giving us time to understand everything and ask questions. There was never a feeling that we were being pressured or 'sold' on something we didn't want or need. The location is clean. The staff is fun, patient, efficient and knowledgable. Yeah, it's still a cell phone shopping experience but this store definitely lacks the drama and the brain damage that often comes with dealing with a mobile provider. If the cell service is as reliable and dependable as this store is... we're looking forward to a long and happy relationship with T-Mobile. Greeted us, and took name.. gave us some info on the wait time. Fine. Short wait, we were called and Steven gave us his full attention on our matter. He was very AWESOME, pleasant and knew the policy's on out of state bill payment. Since my brother lives in SoCal, and we're in Hawaii... we could take care of some issues. I like the service from the Tmobil network. The service is great and being able to make payments on devices, and their deals are also awesome. That said, there are some major complications here. I am now paying $150.00 more a month for a plan I do not understand. I used to have a Walmart Galexy phone, with straight talk. It was way easier. Less hassle. I think it is less secure to, which is why I wanted to change providers. It has been frustrating. When I go into the store, it is so busy that I am forced to wait sometimes over an hour or more to try to get answers. They seem hurried and end up seeming frustrated with me. I leave with questions unanswered. I wanted to do automatic payments. The 28 day cycle was not properly explained to me. I am on a fixed income, right now. I get paid on the 3rd of every month. Now because of me going in on the 3rd, and starting my plan, each month I am now considered "late". I have been paying the bill, a late fee, and a reconnection fee! It has been so expensive for me. I wish the sales person would have told me, that it was not a 30 day cycle. She was kind and very helpful, I just did not understand. I wanted to be on the up and up, and now, each month, it looks like I am at fault! They say the only way to correct it is to change the billing cycle, which seems easy enough, but this involves paying half of my total current income. I have not been able to do that yet. I am about four months in and my credit score is being affected. Fingers crossed I can find a person who will take the time to help me. Any suggestions on another location? read more

I have the simple choice plan which is obsolete. I added a line where an unfortunate mistake happened. Rep moved my unlimited data plan to SC 6GB quota for $15. So previously I was paying 10 dollars for unlimited data. I noticed this error when my internet was getting throttled. Called customer service and they did me good. My plan is back to unlimited but limited tethering. They have me as customer forever. read more

Came here to get my 10yrs old son a "starter" phone since he'll be walking home from school on his own soon. It was for his Xmas present, but since I already activated the additional line, I figured, why not let him use it already instead wait 2 weeks from now. Anyways, the T-mobile rep, Courtney, assisted me and she was very patient, friendly, and informational. I bought a Samsung Galaxy J3 which kinda looks like my wife's Samsung Galaxy 6 or 7 or whatever she has. The phone had 16GB, decent camera, and a good battery life for $175. It was $20 for an additional line since I have autopay, $7 a month for protection plan, and $25 sim card activation. My son was super happy and I'm glad I got it because I can check up on him when I'm at work. There are a lot of parking. Located on the first floor of the Piikoi Safeway. -Review predates the COVID-19 Hawaii stay-at-home times- I was on my way to the Safeway located nearby. It was around 5pm. I usually check all the notifications I'd get from the 'T-Mobile Tuesdays' app but I've never tried to redeem any of those in-store items before. Since I was nearby, I figured I'd go check it out. I went into the store and asked two sales associates about the item. I was told that unfortunately they already ran out of them. The offers always do say "limited time only or until supplies last". I was kinda bummed so I softly sighed and smiled. One of the workers, Aries told me she'd check in the back just to make sure. She came back with the free giveaway item and handed it to me. T-Mobile has been my carrier for well over a decade since I joined with a T-Mobile Walmart plan for a flat $30 a month with unlimited texting, unlimited data but only a hundred minutes of talk time. I recently got there 55 plus plan which includes unlimited data unlimited texting and unlimited talk for flat $30 a month. I don't know how they do it but it's such a great value! I also got their buy one get one free Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for under $500 each. I love having prepaid because I really don't like to pay the up to 18% per month in federal and other local taxes tacked on to our bill. About this location, they're located in the Safeway complex ground level close to Beretania Street. There are four parking spaces directly in front of the building and because they share their parking lot with Safeway it's usually easy to find a parking space. Another amazing thing about T-Mobile is that they started something called T-Mobile Tuesday which every Tuesday, uses of the T-Mobile service are thanked with a gift. It could be a $2, $4, or $6 movie ticket or a bag or a hat or ice cream or a Dunkin Donuts card or anything but it's super fun to pick up something for you. This week it was a very cool baseball hat. So I did it. I got a new phone. After a lot of thinking I decided to finally treat myself to a new phone. For about a year I was sporting an iPhone 8 and I fell in love with the new phones after playing with them at the apple store while getting my screen fixed (that's how they get you). Luckily there's a t mobile store two blocks away from my apartment And is conveniently located in the same building as Safeway, where I go almost everyday for fried chicken lol. I got in and was helped right away. It must've been a total of 20 minutes that I was in there. Keoni, the guy who helped me, was extremely helpful and still quick. He showed me some cases and screen protectors and was knowledgeable about everything i asked him about, which makes sense because I think he's the GM there. I went there around 5pm on a Friday and there wasn't much of a wait either. I will say, the parking lot was a bit of a frenzy, but it always is because Safeway's $5 Friday's. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my new phone, Keoni's service, and this conveniently located T-Mobile shop. This will definitely be my GO TO since the one in the mall and the one in downtown is a nightmare to get to. read more

I needed to switch my phone lines from AT&T to T-mobile. I visited the T-mobile store on Beretania Street. Amy helped me with switching my phone lines and also adding a personal line all for $150 a month. I was paying $305 a month for 2 lines a an iPad at AT&T part of the reason why I made the switch. Overall Amy was really great she helped with everything I needed and also followed up with me to make sure all my devices were working properly. I went to this store with my wife, who speaks very poor English, and I was told that I had to leave the store, because only one person at a time is allowed withing the store. They have a sign on the frond door stating, "Limit of 5 people inside this store". Tammy, the sales rep was e very rude while kicking me out of the store. The customer service at this T-Mobile is outstanding. I didn't even take pics for this review because I didn't plan on writing one. I kind of feel like I have to since the customer service was so awesome. I have my phone service with another carrier. I was in California a few weeks back. My husband noticed that T-Mobile was running a great promotion and wanted to switch over. I have four lines on my plan (me, husband, mom, dad). The only problem was that my dad's phone is locked with the other carrier. The sales rep in California didn't know what he was talking about. He sold me four SIM cards; one for each phone. He told us that T-Mobile would pay to get my dad out of his contract, and that we just needed to contact our carrier to unlock the phone. However, our carrier was giving us a hard time about unlocking the phone. They kept giving us the runaround and telling us different info. We even took the phone down to one of their stores. They told us that they couldn't unlock the phone and we had to call customer service, which we did, multiple times. After a while, it was just a big headache for me. I told my husband that we'll just stay with our current carrier until the contract is up, then switch. That way, they will have no choice but to unlock the phone. We went to this T-Mobile to return the four SIM cards since I had no use for them. They didn't give me a hard time at all about returning it. They were really helpful and nice. I didn't even have a receipt for the SIM cards. They pulled it up on the computer and credited my credit card for it. If you need to go to a T-Mobile store, go to this one. read more

For one thing, he talks extremely fast and does not write any thing down for us. We asked him about the 55 Year Old Autopay plan, and he talked super fast and didn't explain it very well. It was all a blur! So I asked him if they had a brochure or flyer we could look at, but he said "No", so we asked if he could write it down. I mean...How much is this plan, what are the details, how much is the activation fee? He finally wrote it down, but we were so annoyed, we took his scribbly notes and walked out.
