As a result the whole store was reduced to just a small kiosk, and was placed in the middle of the floor of the Mall. I was initially attracted to the friendliness of the staff, as they were nice enough to interact with me and answer my questions. I actually was deciding to move away from T-Mobile as a result of some harsh words from a "corporate manager" at a different location. WHAAT !! Jim ? Yes, I had been a T-Mobile customer for over 5 years. I have 5 handsets and spend over $400+ a month, (EVERY month). I thought I was a good customer. But... Following some horrific comments from THAT corporate manager (in a different location) ... I FROZE all my "JOD" upgrades and peripheral spending, the purchasing of ANY new items and I did not patronize any brick-and-mortar T-Mobile locations for over 6 months. Despite contact with corporate I never received any apology. I was truly ready to leave. Today, I decided to see if the renovations had been completed at that "other" T-Mobile store with those friendly employees. After years of a business relationship, I wanted to give T-Mobile one more chance. Walking inside this big, bright, beautiful new corporate location, I was immediately impressed. I was greeted with all smiles right away by their friendly, and helpful employees. That makes the money spring right out of my pocket. Cool! I was helped by 2 employees, The Manager, Yoly and Mobile Expert Jenny. They were wonderfully patient listening to my previous experience. Wow, they made apologizes for that other managers terrible words. Even though they had nothing to do with that incident in another store miles away. I was quite impressed by this professionalism. Then they really raised the bar and answered all of my questions, "some quite technical". Their technical expertises were wonderfully perfect. I felt like a valued customer once again. Great !! I reward professionalism with my purchases... I'll take THAT.. that..THAT..and this! Here's the credit card. I was so pleased with my brand new Note 10 plus which just came out the other day. My technical experts explained every little thing about my new phone. They went out of their way to find the "LAST"case that would fit this handset they had in stock. Suggested the new Samsung buds. So nice and Sleek they come in a little mini case which acts as a charger too. The sound quality was incredible, I thought my stereo was on and had to check it. I love small discrete earpieces especially effective in my security profession. They were so cool in the mini charging case. Wearing them, I felt like James Bond. My T-Mobile experts transferred all of my my apps and pictures and helped me reinitialize them all. They hooked up the new earbuds and gave me some additional advice to enrich my enjoyment experiences. I thought I was Mr T-Mobile, but they told me some new cool stuff that I didn't even know. And to top it off, I got a T-Mobile hat on the house. (Wifey will certainly steal this) Yes T-Mobile, I was tickled pink! Soo happy, pampered and treated like a respected, valued customer. Yesss ! Almost not fair! Treat me good and I'll spend a lot of money. So why not 5 stars here then? Unfortunately, I wasn't eligible for the buy one get one free on the handset and I did not receive any discounts even though I spent quite a bit of money. Teaches me to buy more online where there are discounts. Now That I Found a T-Mobile that I can feel confident with, I'll probably be back with my other 4 units to jump them all up to the newer models. But again my rush to do it is tempered by the not being eligible for any discounts. Now instead upgrading my other handsets immediately, I have to look around for my best price options. Apparently it's store policy to deceptively sign you up for additional lines, and you'll be paying a higher plan bill as a result. I went in to replace a broken phone. I left with a new phone and a higher plan. It was my understanding that the higher cost was a payment plan for the new phone. Nope. I was originally paying $45/month for my plan. The sales rep signed me up for a second line, and a new plan that is $122 month. The phone is "free" for the second line. My bill increased $77 a month. The phone cost was $800. So after ~10 months I expected the phone to be nearly paid off. Nope. That $77/month was for the new service the store sales rep signed me up for without explaining what they were doing. And after almost a year of payments, there is still over $400 left on the cost of the phone as part of a 24 month agreement. So let's do that math. That extra $77 a month for 24 months for this new phone plan is $1,848. The phone outright cost $800. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I do not have a spare $1,000 to gift to T-Mobile. I recommend everyone who experienced this to file an FCC complaint against T-Mobile and this specific store.

Needless to say, if it wasn't for the fact that my job offers a discount with verizon wireless, I would be looking elsewhere for cellular service. I was on my way to a different location when my daughter and I spotted this one and took a chance to go in. This experience was totally different. The minute I walked in the door, the available sales rep, Jerry asked me what I needed. The atmosphere was friendly, upbeat and very personable. I didn't feel like I was just another "dollar sign" to get a sale. He listened to what I wanted and helped me to find the right cellphone and plan. As far as I'm concerned Jerry saved Verizon's reputation. Maybe some of the other stores can get some pointers.

This employee should be fired**** I have been with Verizon Wireless for about 7 years have spent around $10k over the duration of that time. When I upgrade my device and do a trade in I normally order my device to be picked up in a store locker, and I normally ship my trade in via UPS. I upgraded to the iPhone 17 Pro and opted in for the trade in promotion to receive $1100 over the course of 36 months for the trade in of my iPhone 15 Pro. I had selected to drop the trade in off at this location which I now regret. Upon arriving at the store when they first opened, I had my trade in and the printed-out sheet for the trade in information that Verizon sends you via email that contains all pertinent information relating to the trade in. I gave both to female Spanish worker and explained that this is a trade in. she asked me with a very nasty glare and disgusted look on face "why are you here sir" I repeated myself again with the same thing. Instead of her looking at the paper to help her understand why I was there because she clearly does not understand American conversation and contextual conversation, she became hostile and gave me so much attitude; I had to tell her to change her attitude and calm down but clearly she was looking for a reason to become confrontational and became that without a reason. I requested for another employee to help me she stated" he's the manager he can't help you". Ater she further continued to exhibit incompetence, idiotic behavior, confrontational, unprofessional and other unreasonable/ unnecessary behavior I had to change my tone, become aggressive and pull the native New Yorker out to her and put her in her place which I did because she took the out of her tone and she walked about 10 feet away from me. The manager was standing by during all of this and instead of stepping in prior to all of this he waited until I pulled out the native New Yorker attitude to step in to help me on something that should have been 1,2,3. You don't wait until a physical altercation almost occurs to step in; you step in before that but there seems to be a pattern of behavior with this store pertaining to incompetence, unprofessionalism, confrontational behavior and just overall bad management. This store needs an new management and new an overhaul of all new employees but regardless of what this store does, or doesn't moving forward, I will go back to how I handled things previously which is ordering online to pick up in the locker and ship trade ins via UPS so I don't have to interact with anyone at this store.

ATT Store 21 Rockaway Ave Valley Stream, NY, 11580 Bait…read moreand switch I went to this store on Dec 20th to get the iPhone 14 Plus, Spoke to Daniel the owner who said that there was a great deal going on and that I would get 1000 off the device if I trade it in. I went ahead with this believing he was telling me the truth and this wouldn't be a bait and switch. He also looked at my att plan and told me that he would make it so that I'm paying less, that my plan was old. I told him that I was under the impression that I shouldn't make changes to my lines since the price was locked in. He told me that wasn't the case, there are better and cheaper plans. He did say the next bill would be a bit more but then I would see this go down and in 3 months the 1000 dollar rebate would kick in. He told me to sign up for the Uber rebate which would also lessen the bill. He took a picture of the old phone and sent it to me with a text 1000 off iPhone 14 Plus. I left the store feeling good not realizing the nightmare ahead of me. In a few days, I got the phone and started to sign up for Uber to get the rebate off of the line, within the next few days I started to get alerts on my phone that my plan has changed and alerts telling me I wasn't eligible for Uber rebate. January, I called the att store since it was late at night and found out from a rep that my monthly bill went from 180 (3 lines) to 430.00 dollars. That Daniel signed me up for the most expensive plan on all of my lines. In addition, there was no record of the phone being traded in. The rep said it might be that the processing store hasn't received it. She adjusted my bill but said since the plan was changed I can't get my old plan back. In February, my bill went down, but still, no rebate, since I was told it could take 3 months I waited until March to see if it would show up. March Called ATT again to check to see if they got the phone, ATT corp said to go to the store and get a receipt or call the police. I took off of work a half day to go down there and Daniel said, no problem come back later, A week later He gave me a receipt with the IMEI number, Thinking I was good, I called ATT and they said to wait to see if the rebate will apply it will take another month. April - I called att and they still have no record of the phone, I told them I have a receipt and a picture from Daniel stating I should get 1000 off the phone. Unfortunately, I was at work and could not stay on the phone. May- Called ATT Jenny, the rep said that the deal I was promised had expired because the processing store did not receive the phone in time, and I have to pay full price for the phone. They also said the trade-in value of the phone is only 130 not 1000 like I was promised. I told them how is this my fault? If this is an authorized reseller who was responsible for sending the phone out. And I have a text from him stating I would get 1000 off. ATT Customer Service told me to go back to the store and see if he will work something out with me.

The manager told me that my old phone was too old to qualify as a trade-in, but he said I could buy a used, more recent version and then trade it in for the Samsung. He said it would cost $300 for the qualifying trade-in phone but then I'd be able to get a $1000 credit towards the Samsung. After about an hour and a half completing the transaction including transferring some of the data that was on my old phone to the Samsung, he asked me for my debit card in order to pay for federal and state tax amounting to approximately $140 that needed to be paid up front for purchase of the new phone. When all was done he put everything in a bag and handed me back my debit card, when I asked wasn't he going to take out for the trade-in phone I purchased, he responded "that has to be paid in cash". I was taken aback by this, not having that much cash I told him I'd return the next day with the money and he said okay. I realized then that I unknowingly walked into some kind of scam operation. I did not go back. After getting home I immediately checked my online bank and saw a charge of $162.19 to AT&T. When I called AT&T they said there was no payment to them on record. In addition, according to AT&T there was no trade-in associated with the purchase of the Samsung, and that my monthly bill would include an additional $39.99 for the next 36 months. Over the next four days I spent hours on end trying to get the entire transaction cancelled and return the Samsung phone back to AT&T. They keep telling me I had to return it to the store. I refuse to have anything to do with those agents who are in my opinion operating shady deals under the banner of AT&T. In checking for online reviews, YELP in particular, this AT&T store has been reported to be perpetrating similar activity for years.
