They make such good use of the space. There's so much here, and almost all of it was interactive! We especially liked the first responder vehicles that we could climb in (with uniforms, too!) and play with. The Lego racetrack was a hit as well, and there were a couple of space-themed stations where we could design badges! More favorite places included the pretend grocery store and the water course area where we could use panels to change the flow of water to see how the currents are affected when we raced little boats. We ended up spending close to 3 hours here. Very worth the price of admission. We'll be back!

It's a wonderful resource for the area and a very important part of the community. Haggin Museum sits right in the middle of Victory Park. It's a beautiful, serene, green setting with flowers and a little pond and you feel safe here, even though you're in Stockton. It's a great place for kids to come and play and for people to sit and enjoy nature. Inside the museum there is a mix of art and local history. They have Gold Rush era exhibits and recreated period rooms. There are lots of lovely paintings here and although I believe some of the artwork is always here, they regularly have rotating exhibits as well so there is always something new to see. They also have a lot of activities, events and family programs here. It's definitely dated, but that's to be expected for as long as this place has been around. It's affordable though because kids under 10 get in for free and I believe the last time I was here admission was between $5 and $8. They also have a free admission day every first Saturday of the month but it gets really busy so I don't typically visit on that day. It's really great for kids though, and I'm so glad that we have this resource locally. I have lots of great memories of bringing my son and my nieces and nephews here and being a kid here myself. I definitely recommend a visit if you have kids under 10 and want to spend a day educating and enriching them on a budget. Plus they can play at the park after so it will make for a fantastic day.

They had a nice selection of art from America and Europe. Memorable pieces included ones from the Barbizon School and Also the impressionists. The Renoir in the collection was on loan to the Morgan Library but it was nice to see paintings from noted artists like Hassam, Bérard, Lhermitte, and Bierstadt. I enjoyed reading about the industry in Stockton's past and also how the Haggin Museum came about. I spent around 1-1.5 hours there. The neighboring park is a delight too with a pond, pool and basketball courts.

I needed a last-minute place for our team bonding event because the original location fell through…read more A friend mentioned a venue that sounded great, so I decided to reach out. I spoke with Sarb, and he was very helpful. He told me they still had availability for our event, which was a relief. What impressed me the most was that they offered us time to set up before the event started. When we arrived, the place was clean and ready, making it easy to get everything organized. Since we were working with kids, we didn't use the throwing axe area, but we did enjoy some exciting laser tag. you could bring your own water and cake or cupcakes, but you needed to buy your food from them. They used Mountain Mike's pizza for food orders, which was located off Robinhood. There was a bit of confusion among the workers because some understood the rules differently than others. However, I decided to stay patient and ask questions until I got clear answers. After discussing it, everything worked out well for me. My food arrived exactly on time, just like I had requested. The laser tag room was amazing! It had two stories and was really well put together. Honestly, I can't explain how fun it was--you just have to see it for yourself! The kids had a blast playing there, and believe me, it's definitely a workout! They got to play four different games, so there was always something new to try. When you first arrive, you need to sign some waivers and set up your account. They take a picture of you, which goes up on a big screen at the end of your game, showing your score. Everyone was excited to see who had the most points! The atmosphere was lively, and everyone was laughing and cheering. It was a great way to spend the day, and I can't wait to go back again. This did happen to me once in the last six or so months I've lived here. My buddy and I had to go to Stockton for Zootopia, which had been out for months by that point. So, the only game in town means plan ahead. I've never seen it dead here before. So far. What do I know, these aren't the reviews you're looking for. Move along. Lol I do love reviewing the cinema though. Lodi 12 is usually a happening spot when I come. And it is at least competitive with other theatre chains in the area. It is part of the Santa Rosa Cinemas, a smaller family-run business that has, from what I can tell, a handful theatres in Central (and Ventura?) California. Though it's probably not much older than me, the building has a bit of a retro feel, with big lobby windows in a semi-circle and bright yellow marquee at night. I am a sucker for a retro cinema if you've read my other movie theatre reviews, but any cinema with character will be appreciated by me. The only upgrade I would prefer would be to get rid of the need to print a paper ticket, even if you buy online ahead of time. Whoever is cheaping out on a scanner for QR codes, get with it and save some trees. It would even be okay if they were old school ticket stubs for the nostalgia (I love cinema nostalgia and will go out of my way for it), at least they would look pretty in my novelty shadowbox, but nah, they're just receipt roll paper. Alas I digress; I don't like wasting time doing that when I could be in line for popcorn or taking a selfie with Heathcliff. Some auditoriums are nicer than others but I believe all have recliners and the little swivel tables that make me feel like a baby. I have not seen any evidence of wear and tear on the seats like in some of these pictures on here, eesh. They have multiple screens that utilize Dolby Atmos / Ultimate Digital Cinema surround sound, and at least one auditorium that has Real D 3D for the 3D enjoyers. As a four eyes, making myself a six eyes for the rare, usually James Cameron backed adventure is about all I care to partake of. Sound and screens are great and have been recently upgraded. I do enjoy coming here and feel the amenities are satisfactory. Snack and food selection is good, and the popcorn is fresh. They have a wine and beer kiosk as well, though we usually come after a meal and thus have not yet partaken of libations here. This cinema is in downtown Lodi, and does not have a parking lot. Street parking is usually not far away. Maybe see you later for another totally necessary screening of My Dad and His Son Baby Yoda. This is the way.

The only grumble I have is not providing the flavored cheeses like the other sister locations. You can purchase where that doesn't happen in the Santa Rosa theaters.

Filipino American National Historical Society, in case you were wondering like I was. Didn't know…read morethis place existed, until we were lunching next door at Papa Urbs, and strolled past the unassuming dark windows. They did have a sandwich board outside advertising that they were here and they were open. A nice older lady opened the door (we were still standing around in front deciding if we should go in) and motioned for us to come in. "Welcome!!!" She informed us that they had their opening ceremony in October last year. It's a small space, but filled with lots of wall panels and pictures depicting the life of Filipino immigrants living in California's Central Valley and beyond. There was a nice exhibit of Filipino bikers, which somehow blew my mind. People don't usually associate a motorcycle club with Filipinos ("Sons of Adobo"???). Just kidding, it's real, interesting and was put together by the founding father, "Manong Ernie." One of the docents (museum is 100% volunteer-ran) came out and gave us a presentation of the museum itself and a little history lesson of the Stockton Filipino community. It was nice to have stumbled onto this literal hidden gem in the heart of downtown Stockton. Stop by and learn about Filipino culture and history. It's not all lumpia and pancit!

The museum is small, very clean, and filled with information. Most of the exhibits are panels of information about Filipino American history, mainly in California. The exhibits are very text-heavy, so its intended audience must have a lot of patience. I learned about Filipino-American migration, the types of jobs Filipino immigrants did, and the role of Filipino-Americans in WWII. They had some traditional outfits on display as well. They sell some cool merchandise and books as well. Overall, this museum is awesome because of the niche type of information that would be hard to find anywhere else. The people running it are super friendly. Note: this is not really a kid-friendly type of museum because it is mostly text-based and not very interactive.
