    19. Okinawa Hot Dog Crepe
    Rachel J.

I heard so many lovely things about T-Swirl and I was not disappointed. I treated my daughter and niece today and they LOVED their crepes. My niece had the Okinawa hot dog crepe, I had the smoked salmon crepe, and my daughter had the strawberry Nutella crepe. I also ordered the romantic lychee crepe but I was too full to eat it in the restaurant. We were lucky that the wintery weather made it a slow day in-terms of in-person traffic so there were plenty of places to sit, but I imagine that it is probably very crowded when it is warm outside. If you order crepes and boba teas or their other specialty teas it can be very pricey. 4 crepes and three drinks + tip was about $70. We may forgo the drinks next time. This is not a complaint. Just be prepared. If you are in the 518, this place is definitely worth a try. The crepes are filling.

This was such a disappointment. I had a strawberry nutella crepe. The crepe was cold and did not taste freshly made. It was chewy and the only part that was remotely soft was the bottom, probably from all the filling sitting in it. I didn't finish it and that's saying something when it's strawberry and nutella!

    A very yummy crêpe

When my partner and I are in Albany, we sometimes go to another crêpe place downtown. However, we were close by, so we decided to try out this place. We are very glad we did. There was plenty of parking. The place was clean and bright, and everybody was very friendly. They have. A large selection of both savory and sweet crêpes. These are Japanese style crêpes, so they are made with rice flour. Gluten-free, but in this case, gluten-free does not mean taste free.. We had the teriyaki chicken crepe, The crêpe itself was tender and delicious, as was the chicken.. all of the Fixins , which included veggies, corn, and even a hard boiled egg, were fantastic. The sauce was also amazing. My partner ate hers the old-fashioned way with a fork and a knife, but me? Because it came in a cone, I just ate it like a giant ice cream cone.. Very easy to do. I tore through mine, and my partner brought some home. I wish I would've had enough space in my tummy to try one of the sweet crêpes, because they all looked very, very good. The prices were very reasonable. Next time we are in the area, we would come back to try more things. Thank you.

I have never cared for crepes; it's the one thing that I would never order. But my boyfriend is a huge fan of crepes, so of course, he convinced me to go to T-Swirl. And T-Swirl has changed the way I see crepes forever hehe I LOVE T-Swirl crepes. They're delicious, the mix of flavors is just wow, big portions, and it's just a fun flavor party in my mouth. I've ordered their sweet crepes - the chocolate nut party and the matcha chocolate truffles crepe. I don't even like matcha, but I find myself always going for that specific item because the flavors are insane. Recently, I wanted to try a savory crepe, and I had the Okinawa Hot Dog, and I was just like wow, why have I avoided crepes all my life. I also love that T-Swirl has the calories listed for each item and has options for two sizes The ambiance of the place is cute, chill, and small. It's definitely going to be one of the places I visit more frequently now! Thank you T-Swirl

This place gets The crapes were a little messy but so flavorful. We tried the Thai chicken, which was a little spicy but I loved the hint of cilantro, Teriyaki chicken which was my favorite, the hard boiled egg was the perfect touch and the strawberry banana which now I can't wait to try more of the sweet crapes. The staff was very friendly.

Another visit logged! Excellent as usual! The Thai chicken was SO good! Spicy and flavorful! BLT was pretty light on the tomato but still do yummy that I didn't miss it. Looking forward to next visit already!

I've been to T-Swirl twice and loved my meal both times. The first time I went, I made the mistake of getting the mini crepe. Major mistake - I should have gotten the large. I got the wild berry crepe (No blueberries, sub in extra raspberries) and the peach passion tea. My sister got the angus beef crepe which was delicious. My brother-in-law got the spicy crab crepe which wasn't too spicy but did taste like a giant California roll. In my second excursion, I got the same crepe as before, but the larger size, and the delicious peach tea. My sister, again, got the angus beef (we're very adventurous in my family) and my brother-in-law had the chicken teriyaki crepe. I wasn't crazy about the sauce, but he loved it. My mom had the Thai chicken crepe which was delicious. The crepes are made quick and fresh and folded into cute little triangles. It's great food at a great price in a tiny little hole in the wall.

Been here once, but the dessert crepes were delicious! Lots of sweet and savory options that are easily customizable. Crispy yet soft crepe skin and fresh fruits. They also have boba. Want to go back again!

One of my favorite Filipino friends Pearl recommended this place because she knew I enjoyed fresh lumpia (crepe with fresh veggies and sweet sauce) and OMG was she right! I took my wife and son here and had a wonderful surprise. The menu is edgy and well planned. The portions are well balanced with the clean flavors. The food is well prepared in an extremely clean kitchen. The staff is friendly and speedy. I'm truly not easily impressed however I find myself already planning to return. I recommend getting there early as the place filled up in the short time we were eating lunch.

T Swirl is my favorite dessert spot in the Capital District. Affordable, hand crafted and delicious combinations Ambiance- casual inviting and warm atmosphere perfect for group hangouts and romantic dates. There is no other dessert spot in the area that fills this niche. Crepes- very ideal in their crispy texture and well thought combinations of filling flavors and textures Matcha Truffle Crepe- my favorite! The crepe itself is paper thin and crispy while the dense truffles thicken each bite. The strawberries are fresh and the matcha is strong Strawberry Banana Crepe- equally delicious with ripe strawberries and bananas. The texture is the best part, crunchy from the crepe but chewy from the filling and fruits

I've been to this place multiple times. I always wanted to try a crepe place but there aren't any locally where I live. This place exceeded all my expectations. The ingredients are super fresh and the crepes are packed to the max! I tried both the savory and dessert crepes. The dessert crepes were my favorite, including Wild Berries, Mango Raspberries, Strawberry Nutella, NY Blueberry Cheesecake, and Crepe Brûlée were interesting as well. The caramelized apple was a little on the sweet side for me, plus I really think I prefer the custard cream and Nutella flavors the most! The savory crepes were surprisingly good as well. It felt like a healthy, quick lunch or dinner with the fresh vegetables! Like a salad in a crepe! The Thai Chicken, Shrimp Avocado and Tswirl BLT were great! I tried the Angus Short Rib, but I think I liked the lighter options better. Don't forget the drinks! Thai tea, is one of the best I've had, the Mango Slush is a yummy dessert and Iced fruit teas are light and refreshing! Lastly the employees were so friendly, offered great suggestions on what to try and they looked like they enthusiastically enjoyed their jobs! Always makes such a difference in the presentation of a business! I only wish we had T-Swirl in the Philadelphia suburbs where I live! It would be so popular because we have nothing close to this concept! I tried a crepe truck locally at an event and I was so disappointed!!! The prices were outrageous, the crepes were so small and barely filled with any fruit or veggies, the flavor combinations were unimpressive! The food overall was very MEH. The dessert crepes were much better than the savory ones. All crab was imitation. Yuck.

It's a Taiwan-Asian fusion-inspired fast food chain but I was down for this. It's been more than a year since my last meal here. I don't know if they changed their menu but I experienced a bit of a relearning curve in ordering ramen at the front counter. First, I needed to pick a broth. I chose Tonkotsu ramen, which is ramen in Japanese pork bone broth. Then, I needed to pick a protein which was shrimp and I asked for the meal to be extra spicy. It only took a few minutes. I could hear it being prepared in the kitchen. The young woman at the register was helpful and patient as I made my selection. Definitely convenient. The ramen was good. I got a lot of shrimp and I liked the little slices of fish cake with pink flower designs. The decor has undergone slight changes since I last visited. It seems there are better displays and more varieties of merch. It's still very clean, bright and cheerful. There are still plenty of young customers. Given its close proximity to SUNY Albany that should be no surprise. I liked the playlist, too. R & B and Hip Hop played in the background. Loud enough so that you could definitely hear it but low enough so that students who were dining--some in groups-- could comfortably hold conversations. I didn't plan to come here but my stomach growled. It was a nice, relaxing lunch that hit the spot.

We ordered our dishes with two proteins- there was more cucumber than fish! I bring it up because I could actually count the 3 pieces of tuna and salmon in my bowl. The "wasabi" sauce is not only radioactive green but is 100% mayo- no wasabi flavor at all and SLATHERED all over the bowl. Service was great, but the presentation and the quality of food (especially for the money) is not worth it. Very disappointed.

Admittedly I'm a bit delayed in writing this review so some of what I tried was seasonal dependent as I got a hot apple cider for a drink. To eat, I got a crepe and side of sausage! The restaurant was really spacious and had lots of natural light which provided a lovely ambiance. Despite growing up in upstate NY, getting to sit at Skinny Pancake felt like a nice, peaceful perspective I hadn't received before. The food being delicious was the cherry on top. They offer lattes and and espresso drinks as well. We placed our order and the server delivered it to our table. We tried "The Vegan" which is a buckwheat batter crepe stuffed with seitan, vegan pesto, vegan cheese, spinach, roasted squash, and caramelized onions. We shared an order of crispy and perfectly seasoned homefries. I ordered a sweet crepe from the special menu which was a buckwheat crepe filled with a blueberry compote, semisweet chocolate morsels, and toasted coconut with candied pecans. It was so rich but so good. We loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the numerous plant-based options and ability to convert several menu items into vegan dishes.
