The mocha is delicious, and their delightful fall latte is my absolute fav this season. Service was phenomenal. Everyone was very nice and had a welcoming vibe. The location itself has a large parking lot which is nice to have in Troy. I wasn't too impressed with the latte. I asked for coconut and cheesecake syrup in hopes that I would get a fun coconut cream pie taste going. The latte honestly tasted like a plain latte. Buds on the Hudson is such a beautiful location, great vibes inside and very friendly staff. Parking wasn't too bad, and we went around lunchtime on a weekday and it was not busy at all. Food and drinks came out quick, but my iced matcha was very warm, and the chipotle potato salad just tasted like mayo. What a great coffee shop! Bud's is such a fantastic place to hang out, sit down and get some work done, or grab and go! My friend and I came here to study in the morning and I love that they were open so early at 6AM and their hours are super convenient. The interior is so fun with the wall murals and arcade tables and there was plenty of seating too. Everything was really well priced, my specialty latte and breakfast sandwich was ~$11 total and the barista was kind too! They have an extensive coffee menu and so many flavor options. Everything tasted so yummy and I love the idea that they turn into a bar too. Will definitely have to be back to try some other items or do work. read more

I stop in on my lunch break for a caffeine pick me up and sometimes a sweet treat. I usually repeat my food order and grab a big cookie or muffin. The hot coffee is always fresh and I really like the seasonal specials. My last visit was a medium banana bread latte, amazing! I also buy their whole beans to grind at home. My go to is house blend which is rich and not bitter. I have also tried the bourbon bean but the price point is above my typical coffee budget. Stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I've been wanting to visit for a while, so I was looking forward to my visit! Upon entry, I was pleasantly surprised by how big the space was, as well as the cool wall art and arcade game tables. There are also a lot of breakfast and lunch options. I chose the Ford - grilled chicken, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo - and made it into a wrap. I also chose a side salad as my side. It was good but nothing to write home about. I think that's partially my fault for choosing something on the simple side. My boyfriend chose the Samuel Wilson - pastrami sandwich on Rye with Swiss, Russian dressing, and sauerkraut. He chose the Chipotle potato salad as his side. Overall, he said the sandwich was great and the potato salad was just OK. He's a fan of spice, so he thought it would be spicier. Orders are frequently wrong and it just seems like they really don't like their customers. Once, they completely left everything off my sandwich, literally only came with sausage and not the sauce, potatoes, and tofu that are the whole selling point for that sandwich, and they guy blamed me because I had asked for no vegan cheese. A friend and I stopped in for breakfast. Bud's on Hudson is a coffee house with a large variety of drinks and an extensive breakfast/lunch menu. My friend's order consisted of a Chai Latte and a sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin. I ordered a drip coffee (an excellent brew) and a bacon, egg and cheese on a plain bagel. Our sandwiches were made to order. I believe each sandwich had two fried eggs. The breakfast meats were high quality and our sandwiches were hearty and delicious. I was surprised that my order was about $8.00. A great value as my sandwich and coffee were both exceptional! The staff provided excellent service and were very friendly. Bud's has a modern look--clean lines, black metal tables and chairs and a few tables that are video game tables. It is a relaxing and comfortable space. We will be back. read more

We were visiting from out of town and heading to the airport hungry for breakfast but struggling to find anything open in Troy on a Saturday morning. Then found Bud's and not only was it open at 8:30am but it was delicious! Breakfast sandwich on French toast was the winner among our group with the classic breakfast burrito a close second. Chicken bacon ranch sandwich with maybe three oz of chicken in it and two pieces of bacon. It was fifteen dollars and I'm not impressed. This is a really nice coffee shop with a lot of breakfast and lunch options. The menu looks amazing and the food was great, just missed a little of that wow factor. Sadly, when your wall menu looks so good, it's hard to be wowed with a breakfast burrito served on waxed paper in a plastic basket. We ordered the crumble cake and it was hard and cold. We asked for it to be warmed and the cake was better, but the top was hard. I would recommend doing plate service and changing how food comes out. The service was kind and the coffee is so good. I'll come back for coffee for sure. This restaurant has a really neat vibe and tables were video games, which is a nice touch. You need quarters to play and that makes it a hassle. I had never been to Buds before, but I can honestly say I've passed by many times. It's located in a very upscale place by Seasmoke and located on Starbuck Island. When I went in, I was blown away but the awesome design. They had beautiful bright murals(I LOVE art), a very nicely appointed and clean seating area. The layout is very nice, and it gives customers the ability to get food from their grab and go case quickly and submit their orders in a timely manner. I also appreciate the fact that there is a separate pick-up area to cut down on congestion at the counter. They have a very nice menu full of options for everyone, from Carnivores to Vegans. The drink menu boasts coffees, cocktails, and more. Highly suggest as a place to have small business meetings or gather with friends. They also have old-fashioned arcade games(my husband will love that when I go back with him). Ok, tell me about the food already, right!!! I chose their lox on a bagel, on a toasted everything bagel served open face style, as my readers may know I lived in NYC so I'm extremely picky when it comes to a lox and schmear. It was very good. I really loved the briny flavor of the salmon and fresh ingredients. You can see They love what they do. I mean, look at the presentation. I appreciate it when people don't just throw my food into a box. I also had a side of their potatoes, which I really loved. They were flavorful as heck!! The coffee was flavored with English toffee.
