It has the same thoughtful vibe and is absolutely worth browsing plant-centric items. This is my go-to spot for gifts, although I'll admit some items mysteriously end up staying with me. The selection is fantastic: unique Detroit-themed T-shirts, beautiful jewelry, coasters, drinkware, cutting boards, locally made soaps, baby gifts, and so much more. Everything has a Michigan connection, and a lot of the pieces come from local artists and makers, which makes shopping here feel even more meaningful. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people behind it. The staff are genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and clearly invested in their community. The shop's staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed them and they were also pretty available when we needed someone even though they were a bit busy. As for the prices I would put them on par for a place that sells the selection that this place has. You can find some items that are cheaper (not cheaply made), and other items that are pretty high (saw a pillow for around $300 ). They are known for using actual manhole covers in Detroit to make prints on clothing, which I think is really cool and would make a great souvenir for any Detroit lover. Their designs are exactly what you see online or in pictures. The designers are meticulous to meet whatever idea you have in your head. I have used Monroe Florist for birthdays, funerals, my own wedding (in which I carried specialty flowers), Easter and prom corsages, Christmas centerpieces and; most importantly, sending my mother her favorite single flower-the gardenia. Gardenias are difficult to find year round and need to be shipped in--Eva always finds the perfect blooms. Monroe Florist is *MY* florist and I don't even live in Michigan!! I reside in Southern California and still have my floral needs taken care of by Eva and her designers. Choosing Monroe Florist for a bouquet of "just because" flower or for your wedding, please know they come highly recommended!
