Two words: SHOP CAT(S)!! There is a sign on the door of Well Done Goods that says to not let the cats out, so as a big cat lover, I got excited hoping to meet a cat. We didn't have to look far, as Rozwell was lying on a display table right near the entrance! He is so cute and sniffed our hands and got a few pets. I didn't bug him too much as he seemed content to just nap. We learned that he is 20(!!!) years old and there is another shop cat that we didn't see. Moving on, this store is super cool. They have tons of interesting things including lots of crystals, clothing, accessories, gifts, jewelry, and more. The shop also has their production facility in the back. I wonder if they do tours! They are known for using actual manhole covers in Detroit to make prints on clothing, which I think is really cool and would make a great souvenir for any Detroit lover. I had a blast looking around at everything and loved some of the vintage prints on shirts, as well as what I assume are original designs. This is a great shop for finding a gift for the coolest person in your life, or for you, because you are cool. We bought a bag of Kitty Town coffee to take home and I'm excited to come back the next time I'm in town. read more

Wonderful to finally visit this store in person! I have ordered online in the past and I was thrilled to stop by today. Bethany, the owner, is so kind and cool to talk to. The old location was great, but the new one is even better! So much space and awesome inventory. This place is great for gifts, both Detroit-specific or just something random. Today, I walked out with a peace sign candle, a disco ball planter, PAC Man socks, and an awesome gemstone. But the best part of WBG is the staff. The owner is always helpful and nice. This time around, I got to meet Sabrina and Caren, who were both enthusiastic and gave me lots of details about their products. I even walked out with a hug! Where else can you say that? Shops like this make me wish I lived a little closer to downtown! Hubs and I made the hour or so trip to do a pick-up of goodies before the Yelp event showing how they do the manhole prints. I loved having a few minutes to wander around the shop and see some of the fun stuff while I waited for my turn. There's something for everyone! I had attended an online Yelp event that demonstrated how Well Done Goods does their manhole printing and it was quite interesting! Outside their prints, they have a variety of items-- one of the main items that drew me in is the crystals, yes, they're real. I was happy to find them because I have been gathering a huge interest in them. The employees were super friendly and really great at helping me discover the meaning of a crystal and just general conversation. Honestly, I could see myself hanging out there. the store was really cozy. I will be back to purchase more items. They have parking around the back and on the street so you shouldn't have a hard time finding a spot and their goods are all reasonably priced! read more

Super fun store! Found this by accident trying to kill time before a flight....the owners/workers were helpful and chatty. I ended up only buying some local soap but they have many items including state of MI shirts, fun keychain holders, jewelry and backpacks.
