The Bobun ain't it. I really did not like what I ordered because it tastes very different from the Vietnamese food in America. The fried spring roll that came with it was the best part. I could've ate a whole plate of those. Super juicy and flavorful! But the noodles+all the raw veg didn't suit my taste buds. Everything just tasted raw and bland to me. However the woman working was so kind to us and gave us extra seasoning!! I decided to try something new and it was a mistake. T Thai is a wonderful little spot that was right around the corner from our hotel. We came here on New Years Eve, as we knew that we could A) get a decent meal and B) not pay exorbitantly for the meal. T Thai is like most small places in Paris, with only about enough seating for 12-15 people. We came in and there was one other other couple in the place. We were greeted by our host/server as we walked in. And thankfully we were presented menus that had english on them. As in typical Thai restaurant fashion, there are a number of dishes on the menu that are meant to be shared (family style). We decided to go with the Pad Thai, Lemongrass Chicken, Green papaya salad, Green Curry with shrimp, some rice and spring rolls. Shortly after ordering, our food was on the table. It was hot and tasty ! For four this was the perfect amount. Our server even brought us water and replaced our bottle once we had emptied it. Once we were done, we needed to flag our server over to get our bill. I think we were too accustomed to North America where the servers hover and the expectation is that the bill is delivered instead of asking for it. Overall, the food and the service was all very good. The Green Papaya salad was exceptionally good, and I recommend it. The place is fairly small, and cozy. I'm thankful it wasn't overly busy as it would be very tight seating. I'd definitely go back to T Thai when I'm back in the area. read more

Had dinner here because it was very convenient to our hotel- Renaissance Arc de Triomphe- and because of good reviews on Yelp. The restaurant is on the small side and the menu is reasonably priced. Food was tasty and fresh and the service was cheerful and helpful. Many regulars stopped by for take out while we were eating and they were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the staff. People who eat here really enjoy it. We had the Thai tapas, which is a plate with 4 different appetizers for 2. There was chicken satay and three other fried items which were hot and flavorful and arrived very quickly after ordering. We each had soups prepared hot and spicy and they were wonderful with great Thai flavors and were warming. Came here with two other friends after a long day of walking in Paris. The second you walk in, the smell of jasmine rice hits you in a really nice way. We got the spring rolls, green papaya salad, pad thai, green curry with chicken, and a beef dish all were pretty good. The pad thai portion was huge! came with shrimp and tofu skin and kept me very full for the rest of the day. Other customers who walked in after us all had pad thai as well. Flavour-wise it was enough to satisfy my cravings of something stir fried and homey and Asian :P there was a nice amount of shrimp in the dish but it could've had more bean sprouts and less oil. Overall the meal came out to be €57. I didn't love the beef salad - the meat was tender but had some gristle - but overall this place really knows what it's doing.
