When I walked in I was greeted by two ladies who showed me what they offered. Before I walked to the back, one of the ladies stated that I had to pay before getting the massage. I didn't think anything of it, I just paid them. *Skip to after my massage as I was walking out, a gentleman who was not African American, like me walked in and they greeted him like they greeted me. However, they did not make him pay for his massage before hand like they made me do..... Red flag #1 *Back to the massage appointment.... During the massage, the lady did a decent job. HOWEVER, I noticed she kept looking behind me on the floor and on the side of the chair where I was sitting, like she was looking for something, red flag #2. I tried to relax but I really couldn't, something seemed off. Well, when I got up from the massage, I finally saw what she kept looking at. It was a HUGE RAT about the size of a baby opossum. I jumped and immediately put on my shoes and walked up front. Y'all she tried to play it off as if the rat was not there. I was absolutely disgusted and I will never go back to this place again. **** I took a quick photo of the rodent, but I will only post it if they try to deny the rat problem. This was by far the most attentive and well done Thai massages I've ever received. I hadn't had a…read moremassage in almost a year but had fallen in bad shape after a hard project that had me traveling every week for 6 months. Now that I've been working out and running I developed some serious knots and tightness around my shoulder traps and chest that eventually made it very hard to sleep at night and the stiffness became too much to endure during the day. Went in for a 90 minute massage and although it was slightly painful at some points, I noticed an immediate change in stiffness yesterday and this morning feeling a lot better. I followed it up with a warm epsom salt bath last night as well and plan to stretch and do more cardio for increased blood flow so that I can minimize this from ever happening again. I genuinely struggle to put into words what she does because calling her a massage therapist doesn't feel like enough. Angie is a healer. She is from Thailand and has spent her life studying and practicing Thai massage, and you can feel that depth of knowledge in everything she does. This is nothing like the typical face down, turn over, massage experience. She moves and positions your body in ways that allow her to work from completely different angles. She stretches you, uses compression, works through areas you didn't even realize were holding tension, and somehow seems to know exactly what your body needs. She releases tension in my shoulders, my back, my neck, even my jaw. There are moments when I can literally feel my body letting go. And that is the difference. You don't simply leave feeling relaxed. You leave feeling different. Lighter. More open. Like your body has been put back where it belongs. I have had many massages in my life, and I have never experienced anything quite like Angie's work. Her knowledge, intuition, technique, and genuine gift for healing are extraordinary. I called to book my appointment the day before and spoke with Angie. She had a beautiful disposition over the phone. She was sweet, kind, and helpful. I knew that whomever I got my massage from was going to be great and to my surprise, it was Angie. I loved her techniques, and her presence. She was relaxed, moved slowly and methodically. Her nonintrusive conversation was exactly what I was looking for. She took her time and made me feel extremely comfortable. She asked questions to make sure that the pressure was right or that my neck was comfortable, and if I needed work on any specific area. She was thoughtful and, very professional. I'd highly recommend her. The space is calming with the dim lights and soft music. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the hot stones and towels.
