We had a accident with a pole in the Walmart parking lot in Silver City. Big problem was that we are from Michigan on a vacation and the damaged front fender had to be fixed so we could get back home. We were totally at the mercy of TIR Dezigns. Being from out of state we could have really been taken to the cleaners. But, here is where our luck changed. The staff was friendly, understanding, and they got us in right away. After backing into a pole, I took my car to them for some bodywork. I needed to get my bumper replaced and painted, their price was $5500. I have the most common color for a late teens Subaru -- dark blue-gray -- two of my neighbors have the same color paint on their Subarus. After waiting 9 days, what I got back was the bumper painted a lighter gray color with dimples on the edges where it was forced into place. I asked them about the color difference and they said it would age and get darker, and that I should return in a week. I went back a week later and asked them about the paint and the nice woman at the counter said they were 'trying to save me money and that I would have to pay an extra few hundred dollars to get a blending job' from lighter gray to the dark blue-gray. Typical bait and switch. I walked away, knowing that they'd probably mess that up too. It's like they didn't even try to match it, and it's so typical of the mechanics and other repair and contractor people I've run into here in Silver City, do a crap job, get your money, and ask for even more money to get it done right. read more

Another shop in town told me that what I wanted done with the daytime running light and fog light combo I had in box's could not be done and that the nurf bars I wanted installed on my car were not for my year of car. I went to Thunder 1 Rod and Eric looked at everything and said " No problem ". Everything was installed to perfection the following morning including an additional window tinting that I wanted. The Nurf bars were for my year of car and he said he had them installed in about 10 minutes. Really great to deal with people who know what they are doing !!! . The price for everything was super fair and everyone in the place is very friendly and polite !!!. I highly recommend this shop and my five star rating is for a fantastic job done for a great price by very personable, friendly and polite people . read more

I brought my vehicle here after having a horrible experience at another shop that is now thankfully closed. They did a great job and did it in a timely manner.
