He had me bring it to his shop first thing in the morning. He took a test drive and also put the vehicle on the lift to diagnose the problem. He suggested I take it to a specialty rear-differential shop since it has a Locking 4x4 rear end. He then offered to tow the vehicle back to Tucson in a few days -- for a VERY Reasonable rate ! 100 % HONEST and very Reasonable. I highly recommend this shop !

The Ford dealership had strongly recommended that I do a complete transmission service, at the price of $485 plus tax. No, actually they said I would be walking if I didn't, and then they told me that my warranty would be voided if I took it anywhere but the dealership. When I challenged the mechanic on this statement, he backed down but did say that I had to use all Ford parts or the warranty would be voided. Miss even included in the Transmission fluid and filter. I called RPM for a second opinion, and Tom suggested I bring it out and let them look at the fluid. I had told him the whole story about Ford telling me that I couldn't take it anywhere else or use anything but Ford parts, and when I arrived at RPM Tom gave me a handwritten note with the name of the federal law that prohibits that sort of thing. Tom pulled the dipstick on my transmission fluid inspected the fluid, and pronounced it fine. he ask if the transmission was shifting fine, and I told him that it wants. He suggested but I did not need to do anything to the transmission. I believed him and was spared a $485 unnecessary expense at Ford. By the way, RPM would've charged $310 for the same exact service that Ford wanted $485 for. I strongly recommend RPM as honest people. If I ever need anything done again in silver city I will go straight to them.

In fact, I'm sending my husband back 690 miles away to get the oil changed there next week.

These crooks wanted to replace the engines water pump plus the inverter and the hybrid battery for several thousand dollars, so we towed the car 100 miles to Viva Toyota in Las Cruces where they knew what they were doing and treated us honestly and professionally and he was back on the road by noon with only a new inverter pump and a bill less than $500.00. San Diego Lawley informed, "Only 4 of the 8 bolts holding the transmission to the engine where present, once they got into the transmission they said it was a mess with a myriad of transmission issues, all to do with Service." I returned to Lawley Silver City and shared my experience with head mechanic Marty. Marty in return shared some pearls of wisdom, "It was my own fault for putting a transmission in a used Jeep, and he would never purchase a Jeep." I worked over 30 years in the entertainment industry, so I'm used to arrogant people, but they usually have a skill set to back up their mouth. Marty couldn't even properly install a transmission and blames the Jeep brand. If ya'll don't want to install transmissions into a used Jeep, please inform customers prior to them spending $6,000.00, and we can go else where.
