I highly recommend the Top Gun course with Tony! I got my M endorsement two years ago and was wanting to brush up on my skills. I signed up for the Level 1 and Level 2 courses on back-to-back days. Colleen was super helpful in the registration process and in responding to my questions. This course was a game-changer for my confidence as a rider. Tony was super knowledgeable without being cocky and incredibly helpful in his feedback without being judgmental. Right off the bat my nerves were calmed with his easy going nature. The class ran at the perfect speed. If we picked up on a drill quickly, we moved on to the next one. When we needed more time practicing a pattern he allowed for extra time to run through it. He made it clear from the beginning that he wasn't going to make us better riders, but rather give us the tools and knowledge to put into use. This was the worst experience in a course that I could imagine. While I was initially registering for the class with Colleen (The president of t3rg) I disclosed to Colleen that I had a valid ID card but I am elidgeable for a driver license, I just have to go to the DMV. I wanted to go through the motorcycle course first so I could get the paper endorsement. That way I wouldn't have to make two trips to the DMV. Colleen stated (your ID card will be fine for the course as long as it has the same ID# that was on your license). Colleen even got off the phone with me to make a call so she could ensure that I would be eligible. She called me back and said there won't be any problems with my ID card. So I paid the $350, took the online course which is 3-5 hours as well as a zoom class. I live far in the mountains with no bus routes to transport me to the range for the 2-day ride course which starts at 7:00am. I had to rent a hotel so I could be close to the location and not be late. I was on time and took the written test which I passed. We started doing light motorcycle excercisis and I was pulled out of class by an instructor and told me because of having an ID card not a license I could not participate in the course. The class alone is $350 plus the $250 hotel I purchased for 2 night non-refundable. So Colleen whom is supposed to be the (so called) president of this t3rg course isn't even familiar with her own rules and regulations for her students and giving false information to customers. She at least refunded me the $350 but would not help reemburse me for my hotel costs. Which I think is unfair because the only reason I got this hotel was based on the misinformation that Colleen had given me. So that's why I wouldn't recommend this class in the slightest. Do you want to be a part of a program that the president doesn't even know her own basic material and passes BS information to students causing situations like. I called Colleen wanting to take my grievance to a higher level but being the president she has no oversight and cannot be reprimanded. So for all the loss of money, e classes, and zoom, all I got was a real barely amicable apology and a refund. So of you decide for some reason you want to take this course please do your own research on all the rules and regulations pertaining to your situation or you may have a similar fate mine and have an instructor talk out there ass P.S. the bearded heavier set instructor with the large man boobs (you can't miss them) came off as a total jerk. He addressed the class like he was some high and mighty drill sergeant. I realize safety is of the utmost importance but should be handled with diplomacy and respect. This is a basic riding course for beginners not the military and his abrasive, cocky demeanor was unnecessary, as well as not condusive to a healthy learning environment. I took the Basic Rider Course with T3RG a couple of years ago and highly recommend them for any new rider looking to get their motorcycle endorsement or learn how to ride a scooter. It's a fairly intense weekend, 15 hours over two days, some classroom, a lot of riding. The coaches are super dooper, with a positive and professional attitude. They provide you with a motorcycle (250 ccs) and a helmet. Even if you've never sat on a motorcycle before, you'll be riding by the end. They give you the test, and you just have to take proof to the DMV for your shiny new "M" on your license! Even though their address is on north Federal, they give classes all over the metro area. Great experience. My daughter and I completed the basic rider course this weekend. While the website to register left me with a few questions, Colleen was extremely responsive and helpful. The online and zoom group discussion was informative and well laid out. Then came the tough part...me riding a motorcycle. My anticipation was that no one would be able to make this happen but Faisal our riding coach was patient, informative and awesome. After two days of learning from him I am excited to begin riding. This company took my money over the phone for a class 4 days prior. On the day of the class i called them and informed them I was running behind 10 minutes due to factors beyond my control. They then told me I could come in or reschedule for another class at no extra charge. They said would call me immediately after the class that day to reschedule. I was not a "no show" I didn't recieve a call so I called them after a bit of phone tag, I got in touch with colleen boyle who basically tried to tell me my money was forfeited and to pay again. She in fact told me that they do not ever lose chargebacks and to dispute it with the credit card company if I desired. I still hear my instructor's voice in my head telling me to look up. The class had many skill levels, yet they gave great feedback to improve all riders. Class changes with less than 24 hours' notice may not be possible. No refunds. T3RG canceled my class with LESS THEN 24 hours and as such I could not reschedule that time off and cannot take the class. Regardless of the stipulated 24 hours notice T3RG will not refund your money. They will break their own terms and conditions and them require you respect the NO REFUNDS portion. This is extremely unprofessional, dishonest, and scummy. Way to go T3RG, you've successfully stolen $320. If there was a 0 rating I would totally give it. This is based fully on customer service. We had a class scheduled for July 30th/31st. They literally emailed us or me at 3:43PM the day before the class and cancelled saying they were inspected at Rangeview and their range was found to have several missing markings. They had been shut down until it can be corrected. They were waiting to receive their report to understand more fully what they will do to correct the situation. Stating they were unable to offer classes at this location until they had been inspected again and the corrections had been made. I have not been contacted but continue to see classes being offered at the Rangeview Range and they are FULL! So tell me how I have received no phone call, no email. I have tried to contact them via phone and email without a response. So since services have not been rendered I am charging this back. What a joke. I am thoroughly disappointed in their lack of customer service. How do you cancel the day before and leave people hanging for nearly 4 weeks while other classes on their web site are still being filled at this location? It took 4 weeks just to get in a class! You know what, book at your own risk! All these people who gave a 1 rating were right. I'm done and will not recommend this. You're better off getting your permit, learning how to ride with others, and taking the test somewhere for $50, thus saving $300! This is not worth it. read more

I am so disappointed in this company. Their website is not well made at all. I deal with technology and websites on a daily basis and I found their site hard to navigate. Scheduling a class is way harder than it needs to be. As a gift for my husband for Christmas I signed him up for the basic rider two course so he could get his motorcycle endorsement. He has ridden dirt bikes for years so he did not need the basic 1 course that is a two day class. He just needed a motorcycle refresher and test for the license. What they do not tell you and is not made very clear on their website is you MUST have your own motorcycle for this class. Meaning you must buy or rent a motorcycle and ride it to their class without a license. They even indicate on their class page that this is for riders with experience to "get legal." When we called them about this they literally laughed at us and told us there was nothing they could do and that we would absolutely not see our money back. So that's $195 they have of ours that we are getting nothing for and are not going to see again despite that they did not provide us any goods or services. In short, they are crooks and do not seem to care about their customers one bit, (let alone the state laws.) Steer clear! read more

When you sign up here you will be required to perform "homework".. It is a well written book with questions at the back. Upon arrival at the class our instructor Michael met us and took us to a classroom at Range-View High School. Michael had a class of 8 of all different skill levels. Over the course he did a great job of making sure we all understood all facets of the exercise. I personally also appreciate the fact that T3RG isn't a license factory.... just because you pay the money doesn't mean you are going to pass. I paid for my son 17 years old to assist in his licensing. Upon finishing class he was informed the training wouldn't work for a license. We called T3RG and they seemed unaware. Next dmv issued a permit and he rode all year 6500 miles after the class on a permit. Now he is 18 but their card expired and once again it's useless, can't get his license. t3rg was very mis informed. read more

Setting aside any refund/reschedule issues, this was a solid and well delivered Basic Rider course, with updated procedures for COVID - the classroom session was delivered over video-conferencing and was engaging and interactive. The range sessions were safety-focused and well presented by Bryan Lape, he did a great job in all situations, decent quality bikes. Enjoyed the classmates, passed the course and would highly recommend Bryan as an instructor, I would suggest setting up some shade on the range if possible, otherwise happy with the value and quality. read more

There are very few places in my life where I have received SUPERB care but every aspect of my experience in getting my motorcycle license with this company was PHENOMENAL! Colleen was very responsive to every call, text, or email and she did so in a consistent timely manner. She was patient and assisting in rescheduling my class when the weather prevented the class dates and when my work schedule interferred. DEREK....my Basic Rider Instructor, was very professional and down to earth. He was knowledgeable and entertaining which made my class fun. I am a 45 year old female and my class consisted of myself and two young men early 20s) who had prior motorcycle riding experience. He was able to bridge the age and gender gap engaging all three of us. As a newbie to riding, he took the time to answer questions, and helped me figured out the basics like how to put my helment on properly..lol. He encouraged and coached in a thorough manner. It was truly refreshing to be taught by Derek. I thank both Colleen and Derek for their time and effort! I feel prepared and safe and just today got my motorcycle endorsement! Woot woot!! The Basic Rider Course is NOT for beginners who have never ridden a motorcycle! Don't believe the B.S. on their website. You need more experience than riding a bicycle and studying the MSF Guide to Motorcycling Excellence book. They don't have a large selection of motorcycles for you to choose from. They had 8 mid-size motorcycles, each one weighed about 300 lbs except for a dual-sport (must have been a decade old) that had to be jump started before it could be used (jump starting took about 15 minutes). There won't be 2 instructors for every 8 students. There was 1 instructor and we all had to wait while he set up the cones for each exercise in the parking lot. T3rg's meaning for the word "exercise" doesn't mean practice or preparation; it means an exam. There are 17 exams that you have to pass. Each exam can have up to 4 parts. You'll be read a description and told what to do. Next, the instructor will get on his motorcycle and complete the exam in its entirety without additional explanation. Now, it's your turn. Complete the exam within the time given. Oh yes, one more thing all the exams are performed in a group. Don't slowdown your group by asking questions because thats considered wasting time. At the end of the second exam I told him I didn't do too well on the last exercise and the instructor said "Well, we have to move on." During the third exam, I was given 2 warnings. Both warnings were "you're slowing down the group." The third thing he said was "Turn it off and get off the bike. Don't forget your stuff upstairs. And Leave. Call Colleen [Boyle] and tell her you failed exam #3." I was never told what I was doing wrong. All of this great service is called in their words "working with you to solve any problems you have." The exams get harder as "your training" continues. I think Colleen explains it the best: If you can't pass a part of one exam then you can't perform the other parts. If you fail exam #7 then you didn't learn how to do the first 6 exams correctly. I read a lot of reviews about T3rg. Other websites and motorcyclists on forums were saying $250 is too much money for what they're doing; but, I didn't listen. Hi Colleen, I just wanted to email you and tell you what a GREAT class this was. I spoke with you before registration and explained my issues with riding 2 up and you recommended the Total Control Class 1 for me. The first drill I did was a mess. I managed to be all over the place, tense and not trusting myself or the bike, (typical). By the end of the day, (I still need to practice a bit), I was confidently shifting my weight, hanging off the bike to lean into turns and performing all the drills confidently. On my way home, I just felt so different and confident knowing that my bike can easily and safely perform turns, u-turns, tight circles and leans. I not only didn't fear them anymore, I was looking forward to turning opportunities to practice my new skills. Plus it is a lot more fun not being fearful of messing up and dumping the bike. I recently took a basic motorcycle riding course with T3RG at Fay Myers off Arapahoe Road, and enjoyed every minute of the the two day 15 hour course on my little Honda Rebel, I believe I heard someone call it a 250. Before arriving you are required to complete homework which you can pick up at any location listed on T3RG's website, this is so when you get there the classroom time is minimal as possible, we spent three hours in the classroom going around answering the questions and the rest was spent out on the course. My coaches were amazing, they were critically helpful without being anywhere near rude or to make someone feel uncomfortable, they actually thrived to make sure everyone was comfortable at every stage of riding, particularly myself. Little time was spent walking the bike with the clutches friction zone, before we actually kicked our feet up and applied some throttle, not that this is a bad thing because after all we are there to ride. Before we began any course we were explained in detail what we were going to be doing during this course and then the coach performed a couple laps to assure we understood what was expected. Each course lasted for some time with the coaches pulling me to the side they felt need some guidance in certain areas or they were use hand signals or just yell it out to the riders, again not to be mean but because the bikes are loud. At the end of the course you are required to pass an evaluation of your riding which consists of a few of the riding techniques learned, again it is explained in detail with time to practice before you actually start. Motorcycles, helmets and water are all provided, although if you have your own helmet already it is recommended that you wear it. Only thing you are required to bring are long sleeved shirt, pants, full fingered gloves and eye protection. Pretty minimal stuff considering the FUN you are going to have. I hate to leave a poor review because the instructor I met was very friendly and seemed knowledgable, but the owner of the company is absolutely wretched. I had the misfortune of having a few phone calls with her. Both times she was very unpleasant and immediately confrontational. I tried to take the class two weeks ago, but was unable to make it due to a family crisis. I called to reschedule and explained my situation hoping for a little sympathy. I found none. She got confrontational to the point where I had to take a step back and explain to her that I wasn't trying to get in an argument. I had to pay $150 to reschedule. I tried to do the homework at 7 on the Friday before my course, and realized that the booklet required isn't available online. It's 2016, get with the times. So I show up and explain to the instructor. He was very understanding and friendly. He was going to let me complete the course, however the owner stepped in and kicked me out. We talked on the phone again and she was extremely rude. I don't understand how a company can operate with zero standards for customer service. She started to curse at me on the phone until she eventually hung up after I told her I refused to pay another rescheduling fee. Apparently they do not care about sharing the joys of the road with new riders. They simply see you as another dollar bill. In the end I drove 40 mins (both ways) and payed $500 out of pocket, only to be treated poorly and have nothing to show for it. Wouldn't recommend to someone I didn't like. Please avoid. In response to Colleen's comment: You're right Colleen. I missed my first session due to unfortunate circumstances, but there was no skin off your back because I paid nearly 50% of the original fee to reschedule. And as I admitted, I skimmed through the emails and didn't realize a course book wasn't available online (which is archaic) until it was too late. If you are cold and dead inside, and go by the black-and-white small print (which I think is bullshit for a business that should be customer oriented), then yes; I was unprepared and forfeit the cost of the class. But even if you let that slide, I was astounded by the amount of rudeness, hostility, and disrespect that Collen portrayed to a paying customer. How can you run a business this way? I have never been treated so poorly by someone who relies on customers for income. I have several friends who just got into, or are thinking about getting into riding. I am going to go out of my way to make sure they avoid the mistake of trying to take a with T3RG, terrible business and owner. I took the T3RG basic course 2 on June 23rd. The instructor was an individual who rode up wearing a paper-thin long sleeve tee-shirt stained with grease and food. He had not shaven nor trimmed his facial hair for at least a month. He had a body odor of someone who had not showered for 3 days. He actually stated that his disgusting, stained paper-thin tee shirt was adequate motorcycle protection when he pulled the sleeves down and said, "do that BEFORE you get on the motorcycle for protection". I knew this guy was a fraud and charlatan immediately. He did not present a course syllabus. He did not outline the purpose of the exercises we were conducting. He did not tell us whether we were performing the exercises correctly. He did not work with struggling students to ensure that they passed the exercises. He did not inform us that all exercises are required to be done perfectly with one mistake meaning failure of the exam. Also, he did not successfully navigate a single demonstration on his motorcycle where he hit cones almost every time. He actually almost struck me with his motorcycle on the range at one point (I had to step out of the way to keep from getting hit). He was personally and professionally a complete disgrace. I am a 51-year-old veteran of the Army and Marine Corps with approximately 30 years of riding experience in Europe and America (approximately 200,000 miles on the road). I have taken motorcycle safety courses in Europe and America and this school is a total joke. I would really like a refund but I am willing to entertain another try with a different instructor in that the horrible instructor they provided may be a one-off. read more

Unfortunately this school charges way more than other schools that offer the exact same curriculum. They state that they have the best instructors, but they continue to lose their great instructors because they don't pay their instructors on a timely basis. Their instructors typically have to wait at least 3 months after they have taught in order to get paid. So be aware you may not have a very good instructor because of this. read more
