Thought I would get a pedicure today. As a walk in I expected to wait a bit. I was in the chair in under 10 minutes. Ordered the deluxe pedicure. I was a bit surprised when I didn't notice her remove the old clear polish. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention. All went well until she started putting on the polish. She put nothing in between my toes to separate them. Until she noticed that one of my toes was touching the nail of the one next to it. Then she put the smallest possible amount of tissue in between. Ok done, time to move to the front where the fans are to dry. Well that toe and nail rubbed. All she did was clean the polish off the toes and left the nail rough. When I got home I noticed about five toes had globs of polish on the skin. I had to touch up four nails and clean up the skin on the adjacent toes. I will try them again but will not accept that person as my pedicurist. read more

I have to admit that I can be very wary of your typical "walk ins welcome" nail salon. But after a very long week, I needed a pedicure and some overall pampering. I had heard positive things about this shop and it was new so I figured I would give it a try. I am so happy that I did! I got the deluxe pedicure which was $40 if I remember correctly. The girl who did it was amazing. She took her time and did not rush through it. The massage felt heavenly and lasted a while. The ladies who do the pedicures also talk to you and are very personable during the pedicure. Oh, and as soon as you sit down, they hand you a cold bottle of water. It's a nice touch. Adam is super talented when it comes to nails and designs. He is efficient and can do anything you ask him to do. My nails always look great and I have not had my nails lift. I generally go every 3 weeks and have no issues. I highly recommend this salon. The prices are a bit higher than other salons in the area but it's worth the extra cash. They are very clean too! They do not cut corners and that is very appreciated!! read more

I called a few days before coming in for an appointment for 6 bridesmaids. Some of the girls were unable to make it and it ended up only three of us got our nails done. The team was awesome and didn't seem to mind too much about the change. Excellent price, location and beautiful clean interior. Cool little aquarium too! read more

The very worst pedicure I've ever had. One star too much. The salon was very busy and so someone got pulled from somewhere? It was obvious that he had never done one before. He rubbed the hot rocks (which were advertised) up one leg and down the other. That was the extinct of the massage. The nail polish was so glopped on that it wouldn't dry. Therefore, I had to go back for a redo. That bad. The entire pedicure should have been repeated. They only repainted my toes. Quality control and customer service not on their agenda. The past two times I have paid for a Gel Manicure here ( at a moderately high priced $35), they have chipped and completely broken within 3-4 days. I tried calling and could not receive an answer on rectifying the situation without further payment. Gel nails should last on average 10-14days, so dont waste your money here. read more

I used to love going here. I used to get my nails done every two weeks for years. One day I was pumping my gas and half of my acrylic nail broke off. Upon looking at my nail, I realized it was an abhorrent brown-yellow-green color. I immediately peeled all my nails off just to be sure. Luckily it was only my right index finger with the fungus. If you notice, when they use drill-bits, they are always pulling from a jar marked "soil." I tried to ignore or think I was wrong but ended up with a pretty disgusting fungus. I would NEVER go here again. I have heard of similar things happening to people there but won't get into details as that will just be hear-say. read more

Came in today and asked for a fill and a pedicure. They sat me down right away for the pedicure but then after the pedicure they told me I had to come back tomorrow for a fill. *This has got to be the worst nail experience I've EVER had. The pedicure was rushed, no massage, and the water was so hot I'm surprised I couldn't see my flesh. Wouldn't of been that big of a deal but she seemed annoyed at me. Again...rushed. So that was that... Now let's talk about a nail tech (if you can even call her that) she goes by the name 'Mango'. Let's just put it this way...annoyed, aggressive, and blatantly rude. I simply asked if she could file the sides down a bit more and she pulls my hand down roughly and says "five dollars more!" Totally annoyed that I dare ask her to file a little more. Twice while I'm counting the minutes until this service is done, two people...TWO people walked in saying they had appointments and they both got double booked and the owners just shrugged it off like no big deal. I believe one lady was preparing for a wedding she was attending that weekend. The nails look like s**t and it was a waste of money and time. I wanted a manicure and pedicure and I called and made an appointment, they didn't get to me until a half hour after the time that we scheduled. They must've asked me 10 times if I wanted Gel (more money) and told me that if I didn't get gel my manicure and pedicure wouldn't even two days (it lasted a week and I don't like what Gel does to my real nails (it degrades them). I got gel nails, two nails broke within 2 weeks, I blame my nails, they have been weak. So I called to make an appt to make them acrylic...I was told to hold the phone, I held on for a few minutes, then someone hung up the phone! I called back, they told me to hold again...I waited n waited...maybe 5 minutes this time...I finally thought this is upright rude, I could hear them chatting, no hectic crowd, just chatting while I waited on the phone. I hung up, went to another place in Grass Valley where I was not penny pinched and my nails look great. HOW you treat your customer matters, it's a matter of simple respect. read more

I had no luck here at all. I was given a gift certificate for this salon, or I would have gone elsewhere. I never did get my pedicure. It was as though I was invisible. I stood at the reception desk but got pushed out of the way by someone who was paying for their manicure and making her next appointment. The employee turned around and left me standing there. Next try I had an appointment, was seated at a spa seat and sat there for 10 minutes as two others that came in after me were immediately seated and their pedicures started. Meanwhile I sat there unattended and unacknowledged. I left disappointed and feeling like I had been treated very rudely. So now I have a useless gift certificate. The poorest treatment I have experienced in a very long time. I will not return. I will give the gift certificate to someone else and hope they have a better experience than I did. read more

They always run late. So frustrating! 12:30 appointment started at 12:51! I've tried them 3 times. Always the same. I'm done.....FYI, two people walked out because they were waiting so long for their appointments (one of them for 45 minutes!).- Also, watch the charges, they charged me $10 extra for my daughter's manicure because she needed "cuticle care," but they didn't say anything ahead of time just charged me at the end. read more

Went to get my nails fixed after two weeks, one had fallen off and multiple were lifting at the sides. I sat down after writing my name and a "fix" note in what you want down. Adam check what I wrote and said ten minutes. I sat and waited over twenty. He replaced the one nail and file around the edges on the rest, then he continued to fill the rest. That took care of all the others lifting. When he said he was down after only one coat of top coat. I said do I owe you any money? He said $33, I said a full is $30!!! He said $3 for the FIX!!! I asked for none of the fill, I just wanted my fix after they had not done them correct. My nails now look horrible the tips on my nails are different from one to the next. They are a different colour with the fill and they are not smooth. DONT GO HERE THEY ARE PRICY, POOR WORKMANSHIP AND CHARGED FOR A FIX!!!! read more

I had gotten a set of acrylics from Adam I thought good, but expsensive. I came back 4 other times to have my nails worked on and they were never available to help me. Yet each time other people who came in after me were promptly seated and attended to. I thought it was just bad timming. So I make an appointment, go out of my way to be on time and once again I sit for 20 minutes. After 2 more people came in after me and were helped. They finally seat me at a booth, but the two other clients who came in behind me, were served first and they didnt have anyone to help me. No one even explained and I was left sitting there again, at the booth! Also while I sat (one of the multiple times ) and waited for no reason. I noticed on the price board I paid 25 dollars more than what it said for the type of nails I got. The young girl who answers the phone and greets customers seemed a bit rude but I brushed it off because it couldn't habe been anything I did. Im always so nice! I have tried several other nail salons in Grass Valley/Nevada City and was never satisfied. Yesterday I tried T&A and have FINALLY found a clean friendly nail spa where I experienced an EXCELLENT PEDICURE. Besides a fabulous pedicure from Jessica and because she is very creative with nail art I tried it for the first time and am hooked. The team here is friendly and the spa is IMMACULATE! I will absolutely return and won't have to wait for a trip to the bay area for a quality pedicure. Located in the Brunswick Plaza near CVS parking is easy and the pricing is very reasonable. So I went here with a couple friends and thankfully they Weren't too busy... we got simple acrylics done with color. And the guy who did mine was very nice. He had jokes with me and my friends. There was also a couple of other guys who I guess worked there looking over his shoulder which I thought was slightly odd/uncomfortable. They didn't say anything to the customers and if they weren't watching over the nail techs they were in the back just staring at the customers. Well anyway. My nails came out decent. One was a bit crooked and noticeable but my friends nails came out wonderful! Super clean, nice atmosphere, very cute on the inside. Usually regular sets are 28. I paid 33 because I got a coffin shape. But still a pretty decent price for being in grass valley. My nails didn't dry completely after being under the cold air uv dryer but the guy told me if I bump my nails I can come back and get them fixed. So that was nice. Probably will come back read more
