Once again Tom has gone above and beyond! I took my car elsewhere for a free oil change. They came back with a list of things my car needed. I declined since I don't trust anyone besides Tom. I took it to Tom and sure enough, my car didn't need any of the work that the other car place recommended. I'm so glad TAB was recommended to me years ago. Went to get my transmission repaired and they replaced it. Vehicle had 308,000 miles and now has 388,000 miles. I'm somewhat looking forward to see 400,000 on the odometer because I've never had such good luck with an engine although that will bring me that much closer to saying good-bye but that transmission they had installed is still going strong after 80,000 miles of use. read more

Tom blocked this on google so you won't see the truth. Was told that I needed new brakes the popping sound in the front was my suspension. They charged me $2598.67 (that does not include tax). Had my car for 6 days. When I picked it and drove, the brakes were worse, some times the petal went to the floor with out stopping. Prior to TAB touching the suspension, my car steered fine, turned when I turned the steering wheel, after I picked up my car, the steering was so loose that turning the steering wheel had no effect. While driving if there was a bump the car was all over the road, could not steer it. Had to go to another shop, only to find there were no brake pads, the rotors were so bad I had to buy new ones. The suspension had no 'ball joint', nothing was secured, the rod was just hanging there. NEVER AGAIN, their high prices are not for quality work, but for the looks, someone has to pay for all that and its YOU THE CONSUMER! read more

Unfortunately, I was in need of a transmission shop. We went to Aamco, who said they would rebuild the engine for $2500. We searched Yelp for a local place to get a 2nd opinion and saw the positive reviews for Tab Transmissions. As another poster said, the guys at Tab were very upfront and honest with us and didn't try to rip us off. They told us that there were a myriad of other things wrong with the car, which were most likely affecting the transmissions performance, and that the total cost to get our car running as it should be just wasn't worth it. I truly appreciated their honesty, because they could have just done the work and profited from it, as Aamco would have, but instead they overlooked the money to give the best service. I highly recommend this place. I told them that I hope to never have to see them again, but if I'm ever in the unfortunate need of transmission work I will definitely come see them. read more

So we had an F-150 with over 150k miles and the engine completely went, like full blown explosion. Tom from TAB did an amazing job getting the truck back on the road. What a stellar business model. I read many reviews before I decided to give them a call. My car had certain transmission trouble w/ high milage. Spoke to Tom, and he said to drop car off during after hours. He called me first thing next morning. Gave great advice to help me make a decision on my own. I recently found out that my GMC Acadia was having some issues with the transmission/differential. A neighbor gave me the number for TAB and I gave them a call. The owners were able to fit me in the very next day and told me they would take a look at no charge. We were originally told this would be a $4000 job, but Bill and Tom were able to fix it for $2000 and looked over my entire vehicle letting us know the status of brakes/tires, etc. My car was supposed to take 2 days to repair however one of the owners stayed late to fix my transmission and it was ready the very next day ( saving me an extra day of a rental car :) I highly rec TAB and will absolutely use them for any/all future repairs!!!! read more

TAB Trans is one of the best auto repair shops I've ever dealt with. My father owns and operates a body shop, so I have a little insight into how a shop runs, and TAB goes above and beyond. The shop and office are neat and clean, the staff is friendly and extremely knowledgable, and their estimates are reliable. I've had a good deal of transmission and clutch work done at TAB, who steered me in the right direction even on my uncommon and modified vehicle. They helped me out when I needed it on a few occasions, always take the time to test drive the car with me and point out and explain any future maintenance work I may have been slacking on, even if it's work they don't do themselves. I recommend them to friends and family regularly, and any time I have trouble with my trans, I know where my car is going. read more

Last year I was having shifting issues in my 2008 Ford Explorer . After researching numerous options, I was referred to Tab to get it checked out. After reading reviews I decided to give it a go and give Tom, over at Tab a call. Tom and Bill have the personal small business care for customers that was great and everything was explained to me. I was even invited to stop by to see the work while it was being done. They did an excellent job rebuilding my transmission without giving me any runarounds. To this day my transmission works great and I was just back there again as a returning customer to have my front differential replaced. Had a major transmission issue and took my car into TAB. Owner and his son are totally stand up people who should be commended for honesty and morality which is unfortunately so rare in a lot of businesses. I was all ready to have new transmission installed when they looked into (on their own) and found out my vehicle could possibly be covered under a special recall by the manufacturer- which was not sent out to everyone. On top of that, they even called to confirm this with manufacturer and advised me to get free tow from dealer and loaner car if my vehicle did fall under this recall. If it did not- I was surely going to have TAB do the repair. As it turned out- my transmission issue was covered under special recall and everything was fully covered. Thank you TAB. read more
