They quoted me six days out but then suddenly called back 30 minutes later saying they could see it "right now." An hour later, they called and told me the transmission had "catastrophic internal failure" and could not be fixed. No codes, no other details. They insisted on this multiple times, clearly using fear to sell me a repair I didn't need. The only option they gave me was a new transmission for $3,500 - $4,000. When I was hesitant (on a 7-month-old transmission), the conversation was basically over. I paid the $90 diagnostic fee and declined the "repair." The staff's attitude immediately turned hostile. They aggressively told me to get my car out of their packed parking lot, fully aware it was in an unsafe condition to drive. I had to back it onto the street, where I ended up fixing it myself. I dropped the pan, replaced the leaking gasket, and refilled the fluid. The "catastrophic failure" turned out to be just low fluid pressure from the leak. After running it on jack stands to get the fluid circulating, the car engaged Drive and now shifts perfectly. Total cost for my repair: $60 and a weekend of my time. This shop is either grossly incompetent, completely apathetic, or actively predatory. Based on my experience, it's a combination of all three. They took my $90 for a "diagnostic" just to lie to my face. Do not trust them.

Although Ford claimed the transmission fluid was life time many mechanics and Ford dealers stated it should be changed after 60 to 80 thousand miles so I asked Bradley's to change it without flushing the transmission. They did the service, the Bradley's tec said my trans fluid was clean no burnt smell or particles in it they charged me $1300+ and within 30 miles of driving after I picked mu truck up my transmission began failing. I brought it back to Bradley's and Gary there said my transmission was shot, I asked what had happened as there were no indications of transmission problems but Gary basically ignored my questions and just said it was defective. How and why was never explained. I was told a rebuilt transmission would cost $6696.00 I'm a 76 year old Vietnam Vet who still works construction to make a living and I use my truck for work I had no options but to get the rebuilt, up graded, I was told, transmission. I picked up my truck after the new transmission was installed and had to drive to PA and noticed my AC was not working, there was no problem with it prior to Bradley's working on my truck. I phoned Bradley's and informed them of the problem but was met with nothing but denial as to there work installing the transmission had any thing to do with the AC not blowing cold air. I check with Ford and the Ford Tec manual requires the moving of several AC parts to effect the install, I was told by Gary that they did not touch my AC system but he found there was no Freon in my AC system, I asked how that could happen as there was no problem with the AC before they changed the transmission, Gary had no explanation he only denied it was their fault claiming there must be a leak. Gary recharged the system and put a leak detector fluid in well as of 2 weeks later there is no leak in my system which leads me to believe it was Bradley's mechanic that opened a line to facilitate the transmission change as stated in the Ford Tec Manual. I drove my F 150 for about a week after the rebuilt transmission was installed, I noticed a shuttering vibration as I drove between 35 and 40 mph that would disappear once I went over 40 mph and no vibration at all at 50, 60 or 70+ mph only at that lower speed range. At first I thought it was a bad tire or balance but those things checked out. I did some research into this vibration, called shuttering, on the net and through contacting Ford Service and Jasper Transmissions who did the rebuild of my transmission all the information from these sources indicated it, the shuttering, was a common problem in rebuilt transmissions having to do with the internal clutches not making sufficient contact to lock up as they should. I was also informed by Ford Service and Jasper that several additives to the transmission fluid that could be successfully used to resolve the shuttering problem with no adverse effect on the transmission or warranty. I contacted Bradley's and advised them of the information I received and to schedule my truck so they could resolve the issue of my $6696.00 newly rebuilt transmission. I was immediately met with denial again being told by the woman at the front desk it was probably my drive shaft. I scheduled my truck and dropped it off today, 7/13/2026. I received a text later that afternoon saying that the additive would be in in 3 days and I should bring my truck back to leave it for another day. I do not think these people at Bradley's understand that my truck is my job and without it I loose money, this I had stated to them several times and no after leaving my truck for them to do nothing I was to bring it back and loose another day's pay. I called NAPA auto supply which is just down the road from Bradley's and asked if they had the additive for the transmission in stock, they said they did. I then phoned Bradley's spoke to Gary and asked why they could not jut go get the additive from NAPA, he said he would not, he, Gary asked me why don't you put the additive in yourself, I replied because you charged me $6696.00 for a rebuilt transmission an there is a problem with it and its your problem to fix it. Gary said " I'll do it but I'm going to charge you for it". I replied I just spent over $6000.00 for a transmission and you expect me to pay you to fix it? Gary was argumentative and arrogant in his addressing the problem with the failure of my original transmission, my AC system and especially the rebuilt transmission problem from day one insisting every other thing was the cause, never accepting that they may have made and error causing any of these problems. I was frustrated on the phone with Gary's arrogance and said I may get a lawyer involved, he just laughed at me and said, "come get your truck".

DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!…read more On 10/3/25, my husband paid Lee Wiles / Common Vision LLC $1,020 (plus a $281 tip) for axle and brake repair. Less than 24 hours later, the car broke down in a dangerous way. AAA confirmed the repair was unsafe and improperly done, and another certified mechanic verified this. The axle came out and nearly caused a serious accident. When I contacted him, instead of refunding the payment, he admitted in text messages that "the axle came out" but refused to return the money. He also tried to deflect responsibility by making inappropriate comments about race and insisted on "fixing" it again -- despite my clear statements that I no longer trusted him after such unsafe work. I have full documentation: receipt, CashApp payment, AAA confirmation, mechanic statement, and text messages from his phone. This needs to be on record to prevent him from scamming and endangering others. He is also not listed with the BBB as a registered business -- but I have filed a complaint so there will now be a record. If he scammed you too, REPORT HIM. Businesses that operate this way do not last. Add On: It's not harassment to ask for my money back after a repair failed in less than 24 hours and almost caused an accident. AAA confirmed the axle came out because of improper work, and a certified mechanic verified this. I provided proof: receipt, CashApp payment, and text messages where Mr. Wiles himself admitted "the axle came out." I made it very clear that I would not allow him to touch my car again after such an unsafe repair. At that point, the only responsible action was to issue a refund. Instead, he refused, deflected responsibility, and made inappropriate comments about race. This is not about being "nice" or "polite." It's about safety, integrity, and accountability. I stand by my review and documentation. Others deserve to know what happened so they can protect themselves. DO NOT TRUST HIM!!

RE: Common Vision. Lee is the kind of mechanic who is passionate about diagnosing car problems and…read morefinding solutions. I found him here on Yelp and hired him for a PPI to look at a 2003 Tiburon. A family member is an enthusiast for these old cars which they wanted to make into a "hot hatch". I met Lee at the dealer, which was a long drive to the dealer for both of us. And of course the car was in a back lot 3 or 4 rows deep. So while waiting for the dealer to find the car and bring it to the front, Lee noticed some teenagers who were there to look at a Civic SI. One of them was checking for rust by knocking his knuckles on the car body. Lee smiled at this and went over to chat with them and before you know it, he was reviewing the car with them, explaining how you really check for rust, opened the hood and began digging into how to tell if this Civic was running well or not. He looks underneath the car by getting on the ground and actually looking. I noticed all the other guys, both the dealer guys and the buyers, were hesitant to do this. I think they were intimidated because he obviously knew much more about engines than they did. I was impressed that Lee has the instincts of an educator. He really wants to not just evaluate the car but to teach others how to examine a car. Eventually the Tiburon appears and then Lee quickly went through his process. He focuses on the engine and doesn't move on from that until all issues are covered. In this case, he zeroed in immediately on the coolant system. It wasn't holding pressure. I watched as he carefully tested and retested and showed the dealer technician that the system was bad and that it was leaking. We had already been there for an hour and a half so it was decided that the dealer would pull a hose from another car ( the dealer was close to a salvage yard) and repair it and then Lee would return to test it again. In the end, even the dealer gave up on this car, he didn't complete any repair and we moved on. But I will have Lee examine any car we are considering. He is an excellent mechanic, fair and honest.
