Prepare to be scammed…read more This place is a textbook tourist trap. Deceptive pricing, rude staff, and zero accountability. It's sad because the setting is beautiful and had real potential. We even joked that it would be a great wedding venue. No longer feel the same as I would never in my life want to deal with these people ever again. We stopped in for a quick drink before dinner. Just two drinks each, no food. The waiter clearly told us it was a 50 euro minimum per person, which we were fine with. But when the bill arrived, it was 600 euros for five people. Suddenly, they claimed it was a 120 euro minimum, something we were never told. When we questioned it, the manager was condescending, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. His only response: "It's on the menu," then he walked away. No apology. No explanation. Had they been honest upfront, we either would have stayed for a full dinner or never sat down. Instead, they lured us in with false information. Classic bait and switch. We'll be disputing the charge with Amex and reporting this place everywhere we can. Avoid at all costs. You'll be overcharged, disrespected, and left with a very expensive lesson.

We…read moretypically stay in high end hotels as we like to stay in accommodations equivalent to our personal home. We just stayed at the Belmond in Mallorca, which was amazing. This hotel I would not recommend as my room is extremely small! We cannot even open the bathroom shower door unless the bathroom door is closed. I thought that my Bonvoy status (Titanium Elite for life) would help me get an upgrade or at-least a decent size room. Unfortunately the front desk would not accommodate us and said sorry we can't help you. This is unacceptable and not typical of other high end Marriott properties. We are very disappointed and considering leaving early.

Stayed here while visiting family in Sardinia. I was expecting a lot more for a 4 star hotel. First…read morewe paid extra to be closer to the restaurant and to the pool and beach. It is still quite a hike. We have to wait for the shuttle or we have to walk. It is very hilly and in the hot sun very tiring to walk up hills each day. The pool is about a 10 minute walk and the beach is a 15 minute walk. Walking down is ok, walking up I wouldn't recommend unless you are incredibly fit. You have to go early in the morning to grab a chair by the pool which is free, you have to pay for an umbrella and chairs on the beach. This is quite ridiculous for the amount of money we paid to stay here. Also, there is no water anywhere to drink. You have to go to the bar and they will only give you a bottle of water to purchase. The only meal that comes with free water is breakfast. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet is really good. They rotate the meal items each day. As far as our room goes we have a beautiful view, but there are ants everywhere! Outside our door, inside our room. We don't keep any food inside either. They are due to all the vegetation. I think the hotel should do something about this especially on our patios. The staff are very friendly but our TV did not work. We requested it to be fixed many times. They fixed it once and then it didn't work again. Also, the room key card is an issue. It only worked the first few days we were here. They gave us a physical key but when we checked in they put the wrong key in our key envelope so the staff had to open our door. So we have been having to use the physical key to get into our room. My husband told the front desk and they said the key card will only work if you don't double lock the front door. That makes no sense because our door was not double locked. The pool is beautiful and salt water with amazing views, but the bottom of the pool has hard stone and you can cut your feet, it is a beautiful location. I came to Sardinia to relax and hiking up to my room from the beach or pool or after dinner is not relaxing to me nor is waiting for shuttles with a baby. It seems like the baby club is great but we didn't use it. They had a show for children on one evening which was nice. The live music at night is also nice. I would not recommend this hotel for the elderly or disabled it is very hard to get around. It is also not stroller friendly to go down to the pool or beach unless you take the shuttle. I hope they make some improvements.

I almost expected a nice weather (sardinia is normally warm for the whole month of september) but it was actually gorgeous: warm, windy and dry. Regarding the resort: starting from the reception i felt welcomed and pampered! The personnel was always ready to assist me for every need and they were constantly smiling! There are two restaurants inside the resort: one of them, near the reception is organized as a buffet, the other one need to be reserved and has a-la-carte service. I didn't have the chance to try the a-la-carte restaurant, because i was enjoying the buffet: there were everyday a full assortments of meats and fish, several kind of pastas, appetizers and desserts. The bread is probably home made, because they have a fantastic oven which is used to bake pizza for the dinner. There are various sport activities (not tried), like the wellness center (not tried), a pool filled with sea water (tried) and the sea is close to the resort (5 minutes walking probably). it was a beautiful experience and now i'm sad because i'm back in London.

After a week of airbnbing across Sardinia, I fancied a bit of ease and convenience for our last…read morenight, particularly as we had to get to the airport by 6am. This Doubletree is near the airport (well a 20 euro cab ride so not that bloody near) and looked to have a huge pool! Also they advertised free shuttle to the airport. Winning, right?! When we arrived, we couldn't check in till 3pm which I wasn't thrilled with as I thought for most hotels it was 2pm? We received a welcome chocolate chip cookie, which is a lovely touch. Then they told us they could arrange for a driver to the airport and it would cost 15 euro. Um, what happened to free? Total lie on their booking.com page, it would seem. The room was lovely and we couldn't be happier with it. We trotted down to the pool, which was as big as advertised with complimentary towels and loungers under cover. I had wanted to get drunk at the pool bar but 5 euro for a small can of beer is just way too much. So no drinks for me. The biggest downside I had with this place is the mosquitos. I got bitten 10 times lying by the pool for an hour and a half. Can't they get those mosquito repellers things? We went back to our room and I looked up the massage prices. Very reasonable for a 50 minute massage so we booked two. I appreciated the reception manager coming in and translating for us as she spoke no English. It was a decent massage for totally last minute booking and she was happy to do mine first and my boyfriend's straight after. However, she kinda short changed us on time and it was about 40 minutes each really. We then popped to the hotel bar (honestly, there is NOTHING near by, it's in the middle of a highway so you really can't leave unless you get a cab). I was very happy with the bar, we ordered drinks and got free snacks, including a little sandwich. Then off to the restaurant for dinner. This was a great experience and very reasonable. My boyfriend's steak was fantastic and the service was great. Really good caprese salad. Upon check out, we hit a bit of a bum note. I went to pay and there was confusion, he handed me the invoice and said 'all fine' so I asked if he charged it to my card and he said yes. Then as we went to leave, he called after me to pay. I thought they had the card? I gave them the card and the machine seemed to not work for such a long time that my boyfriend came back to check on me, so then they cancelled it and used a different handheld machine. And then he typed some of my card details into his screen. I don't like this, they should have no reason to need any of the details once they have charged it. It felt very suspicious. A bit of a hit and miss visit really.
