Taberna Azalea is a working man's bar. Pure and simple. And it is the pure and simple aspect of it that makes it so wonderful. This is no nonsense good food at reasonable prices. It is located well off the beaten tourist path in an area of small businesses and residences.
A simple pass by during the lunch hours (hours...after all...this is Spain) will tell you just about what you need to know as their tables are full and the bar doing a brisk business.
The best way to approach a business like this is to observe and try to fit in.

From then on we were friends as he sensed we were there to be a part of the experience rather than sit apart and practice our own ways. He kept coming by to see if we needed anything else and offered suggestions on other things to try.
We recommend Taberna Azalea for the character and friendliness of the joint. We had a good time. read more
