WOW, this place was absolutely amazing! Somehow ended up in Bemidji and stumbled upon this gold mine of delicious food. Table for 7 is a farm to table restaurant and all the ingredients were fresh. Started off with the Beet and Blueberry salad, must try. Winner of the entrees was the Lamb Chops so amazing, cooked perfectly and paired with roasted potatoes. The Duck L'orange & Blueberry burger were also really amazing. We also tried the Caprese and the tomatoes were fresh and for dessert we had a variety of homemade ice creams made with local berries: Strawberry & Blueberry was the cherry on top for this amazing restaurant. I hope to go back to Bemidji one day just to eat here again. I miss you already Table for 7. Shoot out to the staff, everyone was super friendly and welcoming! read more

Might be my favorite spot to eat in Bemidji now, good stuff here. During this COVID craziness se we stopped in to see the new spot in town and am I glad we did. One thing I miss about moving away from the very foody minded Portland Oregon area was the variety of food options available to the more vegetarian minded people. Here is a location that completely and totally took me back to Bridge City food wise and I loved it. The owner/operator/chef and her team were exceptional from the moment we walked in to the second we left. The menu is varied and sounds delicious, offering options that would please everyone in your crew. They also have a little farm to table market where you can peruse many canned vegetables, fresh vegetables, honey and other goods. Looking forward to eating here again, what a great find! read more

Outstanding locally sourced restaurant. Friendly and very helpful staff. I had the brunch burger which was amazing. One of the best I've ever had and the truffle fries were great. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, and I had a hard time deciding what to order. I ultimately settled on the WALLEYE CAKES, and I'm so glad I did. I've eaten at this resto quite a few times. Spent a lot of money each time we've gone and usually with a min of 5 of us. The food has always been mediocre at best however, I've always liked to support a resto especially if they are a farm to table and the only one in town, to boot. Tonight a group of 8 people we ordered drinks, and roughly 4 to 5 plates of food per person. 2 of us had ordered separately so as to not eat tapas style because of food restrictions. By the way...no mention of tapas style when reservation was made. 20+ plates of food are shoved on the table over a 30 minute time period without any idea where they go, no food descriptions, server doesn't know what they're serving. The two of us that ordered separately and placed our order at the same time as 6 others had to watch and wait while everyone else finished their dinners. 20+ plates being passed around in front of us and no one addressed us at all even after we said kinda loudly....I wonder if we will get our food. To make matters worse, when our food came 45 minutes later and after everyone was finished or finishing up their drinks; ours was cold and improperly cooked as requested. When we sent back a dish because it wasn't cooked through, the server came back and made a point to tell us that we were indeed wrong, the food was cooked and that we could have it as it was just re-microwaved. Of course, we didn't want microwaved food in a farm to table resto and declined their offer as it was insulting at the very least. I had to leave the restaurant while people whom I invited finished up eating and talking, to go get food across the street so I could have a meal that was hot and to order. I left behind a the food I had ordered except the meat because I was literally starving. Our meal for 3 was approx 350.00... 5 other people were paid separately so I don't know how much that was but I have to say...it was NOT worth it and we won't be back because they simply don't understand how to run a restaurant and be customer centric. Instead they wanted to correct me in front of my guests for whom I was paying for. The way we were handled left all of us feeling highly negative about this place. Sad....because this is the only F2T in the area. It's struggled but has never gotten better. In fact t tonight we feel it has sunk to a whole new low. Yes, resto owner...I know what throughly cooked potatoes look like, taste like and how they should be served in a Spanish Tortilla. I also know what cold food versus hot food should be and I also know what quality food and presentation looks and tastes. You lacked in detail, customer service and quality food tonight and sadly while you were in the window addressing your server and not your paying customer YOU lost our respect and patronage. You could of easily come to our table especially since you had no other customers except a 2 top. We should have been your priority but somehow you didn't feel we were and that translated across the restaurant from your little window onto the floor where we and the neighboring table felt it. With an empty restaurant and high prices....you should be out kissing some rump and making sure your guests are well taken care of. Went here for lunch on a Saturday, and was looking forward to our lunch since it had been awhile since I was last here. I ordered the sandwich special made on their homemade sourdough cranberry bread, which was underwhelming. Our waitress was pleasant but the service was extremely slow. Because of the slow service we were there for 2 hours. It was not crowded at all when we first arrived, but business did pick up. I had the lunch special and 2 beers, and my total bill was $45.00. Would have loved to try the food ....called ahead to ask how late they were open. Woman said you can come 5 minutes before closing order and eat at normal pace no problem. We called hour before closing got there with 45 minutes to spare and after we talked for 10 minutes were told kitchen already closed and they could not serve my family dinner. No apologies from server who we spoke to on phone or kitchen chef who I believe is the owner. Very rude service and unprofessional. Didn't even offer discount to come back next day and try again. This is the BEST restaurant in Bemidji. From the fresh farm-to-table ingredients, to the perfected preparation, to the wonderful service staff, this was our best dining experience in Bemidji after dining at nearly every non-chain restaurant in town. We had the Green Goddess salad, deviled eggs, garlic snap peas and the crispy chicken sandwich, which was complimented by the best French fries we've ever had. Ever. For fun, I had a glass of their Minnesota-made dessert wine - raspberry rhubarb notes. They offer local brews too. And special thanks to our super nice server, Trista, as well. Overall, 5+ stars. We had the onion appetizer which is unique and delicious. Entrees we're duck and stuffed squash. Attractively plated and just right in flavors and seasoning. Pumpkin pie too tempting and we both savored every bite. Bread baked by the in house chef was noticed and we took that home. It was breakfast perfect the next day. We will be back. Wow! The food here is amazing! I was just a teeny tiny bit sad because they were out of the walleye but when you have a farm to table local sourced type of place that is bound to happen. It's not like they have a freezer full of it that has been sitting there for who knows how long. Also freshly caught on the menu was some delicious trout. Everything was so tasty. Decor I would describe is minimalist as the food is the real star here. They also have a small section of local foods to take home with you. read more

My first visit to this locally owned "Farm to table" restaurant. I had heard good things and wasn't disappointed. Service was excellent and the flat bead was excellent. Y wife had a mixed bowl that was also quite good. My granddaughter had the tick which she enjoyed but not my favorite way to prepare. We will certainly be returning very soon! read more

Love what the chef is trying to do at this restaurant in a smaller town. Food was excellent and recommend that everyone come and support her. Super nice woman and doing a lot to help the community. It's still pretty new so the staff doesn't have a ton of experience so things can sometimes move a little slow. I would absolutely love it if there was some goat cheese in the beet salad. 2 of us stopped in for weekday lunch. We were told it would be 30 minutes or so because they only had one cook. We stayed. I ordered soup to start hoping it would come out quickly and it did. So glad I tried the broccoli cheese soup. It was impressively good. I would return just for this soup hoping it was on still on the menu as their menu changes often depending on availability of local ingredients. The soup was served with toasted buttered homemade sourdough bread. The soup was not thick and gloppy like some chain restaurant broccoli soup (Panera). It has small diced vegetables and the most wonderful full flavored base with herbal notes. My husband dipped into my bowl several times; it was that good. Table for 7 knows how to make excellent soup! I had a bison burger which was cooked nicely, not overdone. A treat because bison can easily dry out and this burger was just right, with thin fried onion rings, just the right amount of a tasty homemade sauce on a toasted fresh pretzel roll. It was too big for lunch. My husband had a pesto grill cheese sandwich he liked very much and ate every bit along with the rest of the bison patty from my burger. It was a comparatively expensive lunch but for very well prepared menu items made with good ingredients, it's worth it for a treat. We'll be back. We enjoyed the friendly upbeat conversation with our server as he hustled waiting the tables. We thought the food was excellent. Don't be afraid to try something new. We had the fried green tomatoes that had a nice cornmeal panko coating, nice and crisp but not too thick. I had a sourdough lamb pizza, very flavorful, really liked the cheese that was on it. My husband had the choripan, grilled chicken sage sausage with chimichurri sauce, a tomato and onion salad along with a cup of the chicken wild rice soup. The soup had a light broth, not the heavily thickened base we usually get. Very nice and flavorful. We do hope they can survive as a new restaurant that has had not only Covid shut them down after just opening but reopened only to have a fire next door shutter them for six weeks. This is like a Minneapolis restaurant experience in the middle of Bemidji. Easily surpasses most Twin Cities restaurants. Comparable to places like Spoon and Stable, Barbette, and Bar la Grassa. I should start by saying that the food was outstanding. That was the only saving grace of my family's visit to the restaurant last night. The five of us ordered over $100 of drinks, appetizers, and entrees at 6:00 with the restaurant half full. We had to remind the waitress what we ordered to drink because the soda's hadn't arrived by 6:30. Two of us ordered bison burgers, a mac-n-cheese, and two salads for entrees. The appetizers arrived about the same time and were very good tasting at 6:40. One bison burger, one salad and the m&c showed up around 6:45. Salad #2 showed up at 7:15 -- over an hour after ordering. As the four of them were finishing their meals, the waitress came over and said that they had "given my bison burger to someone else and that there weren't any more". Are you kidding me? An hour and a half after initially ordering? And, no apology, no visit from the manager to apologize, no offer to pick up the drinks or my meal for the inconvenience -- NOTHING. I eventually ordered another m&c for myself which arrive after all of my family had finished their drinks and meals. The waitresses were obviously embarrassed because they completely avoided us. They never even asked if we wanted drink refills the entire night. It's really unfortunate as their food, when we got it, was very very good. And, they had ample opportunities to make the situation better given the amount of money we were spending. No matter how good the food was, the management was horrendous. The entire family agreed that we will never visit the restaurant again and we will be telling our friends to avoid it as well. read more
