I recently had a terrible experience at a vision center. Although Dr. Debra Williams was a great…read moredoctor, the clinic's practices were unethical and should be illegal. My family of three needed eye exams, so I called to set up an appointment and provided my insurance information to ensure they accepted it. The receptionist assured me they did and asked me to complete some paperwork, which I did and dropped off a week before the appointment. However, during the exams, we were informed that they do not accept vision insurance and instead bill everything as medical in their office. As a result, we were forced to pay full price for all three exams and a pair of glasses that my son needed because he had to wear them during the dilation process. We paid around $300 on the exam day and later received a bill for an additional $391. Feeling cheated, I called the clinic to voice my concerns. The receptionist apologized and mentioned that they usually inform patients that they do not accept vision insurance when they make an appointment. Imagine that , a Vision clinic that does not take vision insurance. The Vision Clinic told us that they rarely see people our age (40) and mainly deal with older adults. If they did this to us, I worried about what they might be doing to them. If we had known that our insurance was not accepted we would have drove five minutes down the road to the other vision place in town, that does accept vision insurance.

Table Rock Art Guild & Gallery was honestly a solid stop. The place had character, the artists clearly care about their work, and there were some genuinely interesting pieces throughout the gallery. A lot of the collection leaned abstract ... not exactly the Beast's personal favorite style ... but art's subjective, and you could tell some people would absolutely love it. Even when a piece wasn't necessarily "my thing," there was still creativity and effort behind it that deserved respect. That's what makes galleries like this worthwhile. Local talent, different perspectives, and a place that actually supports artists instead of mass-produced wall filler from a furniture store. Cool little atmosphere, worth checking out if you're passing through and appreciate local art scenes. abstract-heavy for the Beast, but solid work and a good vibe overall.

Spa02's prices are way more reasonable than resort spas or others and it was still a good massage! We had two ladies, both named Tori, who were very kind! The beds we laid on weren't anything crazy like memory foam or an actual gel mat underneath BUT they did have warming pads underneath and it was SO NICE! i've never had that at any other massage. I asked for relaxation / light pressure and Tori did great at keeping with that pressure! We got warm towels on our faces & steamed towels on our backs and feet. The only thing is (and i think this was because it was only 60 minutes) I didn't have the back of my legs massaged, which is not that big of a deal, I just usually have that done at other places and didn't realize till hours later that they didn't do that. My husband says the foot rub was the best for him but I really loved the scalp / neck / shoulder massage! Everything was very clean, smelled nice, and they had a coffee / snack bar at the front. Again, I will say, anything in the Spa industry, from my experience, is you get what you pay for. If you pay $400 or more for a massage, you should expect more!
