Marinara and ranch are perfect accompaniments. Cluck n Oinker was just like the description. Chicken, sweet onion, crispy but light crust. Unholy Totally Taboo, was so flavorful and you were able to taste each of the olives, onions and sausage. The whole meal was great tasting and light in your stomach. It's so easy to over indulge. Came for my husband's birthday dinner and it was completely empty on a Monday night (and would be the only party for about an hour). We were seated immediately and we placed an order for breadsticks and sweet and spicy honey wings. Both appetizers came out quickly, but both left something to be desired. The breadsticks weren't anything special and while the wings were juicy and saucey, they were pretty soggy. For pizzas, we ordered a Sinatra, a Red-headed Stepchild, and a Sacrilege plus an ankle bitter for our daughter. Pizzas were hot when they arrived and of all that we ordered, we liked the Red-headed Stepchild the best, but there wasn't anything special about these pizzas. They were fine. Prices for the pizzas weren't bad at all. The menu was a bit busy and confusing to look at at first glance. Our waiter was nice and attentive. Would try this location again at some point. read more

We have loved the Taboo on the top of 30th street for years, so we were excited to try the new riverwalk location! All of our expectations were exceeded so it made us a little sad there weren't many people in the restaurant. Our waiter, who provided excellent service and vibes, said it's due to everyone's new year's resolutions to stop drinking, which honestly makes a lot of sense. We ordered the sassy chick and our classic, the cheesy dough boy. The sassy chick has an amazing array of flavors and was served fresh out of the oven, I'll for sure be ordering again. The cheesy dough boy hit as hard as ever, y'all for sure need to order one. The ambiance was super chill with great music playing which I honestly prefer but there was plenty of room for many people at the bar and at tables around the restaurant. I can imagine there is a great outdoor seating area along the river during the summer but I can't confirm as we went during the first week of January. Let's start @the beginning, the staff has started out delightful and the menu is unique. We started with the garlic cheese bread and it was amazing! We recommend the jalapeno ranch dipping sauce. Whaaaaattttt!!! Sacrilege pizza... 5 out of 5 starz. The White Widow baked pasta was 4 Starz - a bit overwhelming mushroom flavor, took away from the Alfredo. For my my limited attention spanned readers: This is a new location of a local pizza joint that has been around for years. Got good food with awesome service. The pizza was great, but I feel like I could've found something better on the menu You'll be paying between $10-$18 per pie. Would recommend! For my more in depth readers: This is the local favorite that replaced where Slackwater used to be(for those who know) right by the classic welcome to Ogden sign. Which I believe is a fantastic location if you're looking to do anything in Ogden. For first impressions I thought that the service was hot and cold. The wonderful lady up front was awesome and super nice and fun to talk to. My server was cool as well but never really came to check in that often(which is good or bad depending on how you like your service). The seating area and bar area were pretty nice and it was very bright. As for the food, it took a little bit for it to come out. Nothing crazy but you started to notice as it was about 30 minutes give or take from ordering to getting the pizzas. But as for the flavor, it was pretty good. Sauces were good and the bbq ranch had an interesting flavor to it. The crust was honestly my favorite part. It was fresh and quite delicious. I would say that I will definitely come back to see what is the best pie, but this place definitely filled the hole that Slackwater left on the north side of Ogden! read more

To start off this place is absolutely beautiful. A total vibe. Our waiter was so great, the drink he made me was absolutely stunning and delicious. I love presentation and he nailed it. I absolutely do NOT recommend visiting this restaurant!! My family and I went to Taboo on 7/24 Pioneer Day at 5 pm, for my husband's birthday. The hostess asked me if a taller table with the tall bar chairs was okay? I told her no, because I'm a short person and it hurts my legs to hang loose without being able to rest my feet on the foot rest. She did a small laugh, and said okay with starting to walk us back and seat us at a table. She took us straight to a tall table for seating, even after just having the conversation. I told her I needed a short regular table, and could not sit at the tall table. She turned to seat us at another table when a man employee (possibly server or manager) came out to argue and state that we absolutely could not sit at any other table. I explained my reasoning once again, and the man wanted to start arguing with me. He said that all the other tables were reserved for people getting out of the rodeo and coming over. The restaurant only had people sitting at 3 tables in the whole restaurant, and all the other tables were empty. Approximately 10-15 tables were left completely empty. I asked him what the difference was sitting me at a short table and the other people at a tall table? He stated because they were reserved and people would be there in less than 30 min. So I told him my family and I would go eat somewhere else. I stated to him that I am a paying patron here right now and the other people aren't even there yet, but he'd rather turn me away. The man could care less, but only cared to keep arguing with me. I told him that I was not going to sit here and keep arguing with him, and that me and my family were leaving. He still kept stating his argument. So I said to him the main point is as a store owner it's unprofessional to keep arguing with your customers. This man was very arrogant and judgemental. To him I was short, big deal, deal with it! When the truth is I'm disabled. Yes I'm short, but I also cannot move certain ways to try and climb up to sit on a tall chair, along with my feet just hanging creates extreme pain in my back. But in my opinion I should not have to let the employee know all my business to this extent. Instead this man was judgemental and ignorant from the get go. I also decided to see when the rodeo got out on our way home. It turns out the rodeo didn't even start until 7:30 pm, and we were there at 5 pm. So other words, we would've been long gone before the people got out of the rodeo to even show up. Yet, to this man his argument was more worth it to him than make more money for the business in having a paying patron there. This also totally ruined my husband's birthday! I genuinely think that this place has the best marinara dipping sauce I've ever tried, we ended up getting a to-go container of it for our leftovers. This is a 3.5 star review. For reference party included 2- 40 something adults who are not hip. I had seen rave reviews on some Facebook groups I am a part of so when we found ourselves in Ogden around dinner time in suggested Taboo. So pros: it is new and clean. We were seated right away. We were greeted right away. I really liked the Cheeky Chick pizza. The chicken was super flavorful and the combination of ingredients was a perfect match. I got to do some fun people watching. The trail outside the windows is beautiful. If you sit by the windows or outside you will have a great view. Cons: We were seated in the bar area. I didn't know there was an outside option or I would have requested it. I was cold the entire time I was there to the point that my husband had to give me his sweatshirt. Our waiter got our order pretty quickly but then we just waited. The appetizer came out in a reasonable time - the main course was at least 30 minutes after we had finished the appetizer. We had been seated for 50 minutes when our main course came out. We were never offered refills on our drinks. We ordered the Taboo Teaser and none of it was great. Everything that should have been crispy was not. Not even the crostinis. It wasn't bad - just not anything to inspire you. My husband's MPD pizza was so greasy that he ate one piece and quit on the second. The crust on both pizzas was so floppy at the point that we had to eat with forks and knives. For us it was a mediocre experience but at a different table and maybe on a different night with some food choice revisions it might have been better. read more

Made it to the new taboo pizza location in Ogden by the river walk. The redecoration of the old Slackwater is very nice. They did a great job making it feel more open and welcoming. They still have patio seating and dogs are allowed out there. The food was very good. Ordered a pizza and a calzone and both came out in a reasonable amount of time and both were very tasty. The calzone was a stuffed boi calzone with pepperoni and black olive. The pizza was the barbecue chicken with no onions. Plentiful toppings and the crust was cooked nicely. It appears they have a full bar and sadly serves Pepsi products. Parking for anyone familiar with the area can be a little challenging so just be aware of that. read more

What went well at Taboo Pizza in Ogden! That's an easy question to answer, everything went so well it's rated fantastic by the 3 people I took with me and myself! From the first minute we walked in things started going really good, very fast service getting us to the table of our choice. Along with our menus, they gave us a special drink menu, to see the drinks that were on special that day! Taboo has a full service bar. Two people in my party enjoyed some very good ice cold beer with their pizza. Now the selection of pizza that they offered is incredible!! Folks I am older, in all my years of loving pizza, I have never seen anything like the selection that they have on their menu! To sum it up, so varied, some unusual toppings that you might not see on pizza! Overall,everything from seating,to our waitress Lacey, who kept us very happy with her service, up to the minute we left! The restaurant is in a very nice location next to the river, they even offer outdoor seating. It might only be offered when it's a little bit cooler outside! My wife and I decided we wanted pizza for dinner last Saturday and Taboo was right around the corner from our condo. We ordered the sassy chick which was mozzarella, chicken, bacon, red onions, and a bbq drizzle. I went and picked it up(ready right on schedule) to eat at home and it did not disappoint. I wish I could give these buys a better review but I can't and I really love their pizza but I have issues with this particular location. First, I think it sucks that you cannot order a pizza larger than 10" in this location. Only take out versions are larger I was told. Why? This is ridiculous. I'm paying to dine in and pay a tip and enjoy the ambience of the river and I get jipped out of a full size pizza...ridiculous. Also, I told the waitress I wanted Ranch dressing with my cauliflower appetizer and I got nothing. I had to leave my table to tell another waitress to please bring it to me. Also, I told the my waitress when I ordered to bring some red sauce for dipping. Oh she brought it, but it was only half full...really? WTH! I also told her later to bring more and she never did. What the heck is going on with this place that you get small pizzas when dining in and little or no sauce? This was my first time here and my last unfortunately because I like the pizza. My wife and I enjoyed a late lunch at the new Taboo Pizza location on Harrison Blvd. At that time, it wasn't at all busy, and we were seated quickly and a friendly server took our drink and appetizer order (bread sticks). The restaurant is clean and modern with interesting lighting that included whimsical welded skeletons! We had a window seat overlooking the Ogden River. We ordered a Canadian bacon/pineapple pizza (I know!). It had a delicious crust with bubbly edges and thin New York style bottom. The cheese was melted to perfection with long strands stretching out as we pulled out the first slices. The bread sticks were more dense but coated nicely with a garlic, Parmesan topping. The marinara dipping sauce (there are two or three other sauces to choose from) was very tart. I would have preferred a touch of sugar to cut the sharp tang. I would like to explore their menu further, which include several pasta dishes (all based with rigatoni noodles) salads and many different pizza toppings. read more

Very impressed with Taboo! I've been waiting to try their pizza since I didn't get to visit their other location or visit their trailer. I'm very impressed with their pizza and it's nice to again enjoy a pizza right next to the Ogden River. Their pizza is great and they have a great selection of local beer. It would be nice if they were also able to obtain out-of-state beer selections but I'm unsure if they have the license to be able to do this. This is one thing I enjoy about Slackwater as they have a selection of local beer as well as a selection of beer from other states. read more
