We rented a 2 person canoe and they drove me and our 2 friends who brought their own kayaks up about 7 miles away so we could go downstream. Definitely recommended renting from them.

You can pay when you get there, but if it is a busy weekend, you definitely want to reserve your spot. It was a blazing hot day, but you don't notice it too terribly on the water. I was immediately greeted by Captain Paul and Daisy, and immediately felt like I was amongst my people. There were families with kids, couples, friends, and myself a solo traveler. Captain Paul certainly is doing what he loves to do, sailing away, making jokes, sharing history, and ensuring the experience is great for all. He lets you enjoy the quiet and peaceful views of nature and the beautiful (and more rustic) camps along the lake (Cane River is now a lake, and you'll learn more on the cruise), shares fun history of some of the homes along the route, and he shares stories of the formation of the lake and the history of the people who built the area. We even got a sighting of the elusive alligators in the lake, which even excited Captain Paul, and he silenced the motors to let us take it in. (It was fun to see some people who had never seen an alligator that close up enjoy the site!) Be sure to check their website for hours and tour dates. The schedule is adjusted during the holiday season and special events. Bring cash if you want a drink or to tip the hard working, entertaining, and job loving staff onboard. I can't wait to take the ride again when I'm back in town!

Delivered to Pete Jorgensen Marine and within 30 hrs my lower has been torn down diagnosed and I and insurance company have a repair order. My drive and prop shaft along with some bearings and seals will be getting replaced. The quickness of Pete Jorgensen Marine to do all this in early April, in 30 hrs, the busiest time of the year seems quite exemplary to me. Excellent customer service, I was impressed when I saw the place as its extremely clean and seems very organized. Very nice to know I have an actual Yamaha outboard Master certified tech 30 minutes from home especially considering how much I value my VMAX 250 Yamaha SHO. He explained how the hydrology of the area functions with the Mississippi River and how the water levels change, and how it affects the wildlife. No power to the controls or motor. 12 volt power to the accessories and trim tabs. My biggest problem was the motor was down and the trim/tilt wasn't working. We were headed home the next day so I was in a bind. I got to their store around noon and told them my predicament. They started working on the boat immediately. After 2 hours of trying to diagnose an intermittent electrical problem, it turned out the Perko switch was bad internally. New switch and everything worked. And the charge was more than reasonable. Anywhere else it would have been 3 weeks and at least 3 times the cost.

The RV parking spots are level with lots of privacy. The showers and restrooms are nice and clean. They have a private boat launch and two docks if you prefer fishing from shore.
