Nacho fries barely had any seasoning, called to inform them then got hung up on. They need to do better.

Overall, it was decent. Service was good on a busy Tuesday afternoon (late lunch). I was in the mood for enchiladas so it hit the spot. It had a ton of cheese. I would have enjoyed more red sauce to cheese ratio. The chicken enchilada was my favorite, followed by the cheese&onion. But that's just what I usually favor. The ground beef was good. The salsa was... a bit odd. My husband said it tastes like it hung out in the fridge awhile. I think he was right. It was real cold and kind of bland. It just wasn't my thing. The chips were very bland and needed salt. But, I appreciate that I can easily add salt, which I did. Those who are trying to limit their salt intake would be able to eat the chips too. My husband got a burrito thing with refried beans on the inside and pork chili and cheese on top. It was a tiny bit spicy in a good way. It was decent. I'd come back, and try something else. For the money, this place is a good value if you think about it. You'd spend more at Taco Bell for the same amount of food and this is better.

Excellent salsa not to spicy and hot. Guacamole was good and a good portion for a side dish. I had…read morethe 2 enchiladas and taco. For me I appreciated the fact the enchiladas were not drowned in either a red or green sauce and the nice part was they were able to stand on their own. I was able to enjoy the enchilada wrap and able to taste the actual ingredients. The staff were extremely efficient and respectful of everyone in there. I'm an old building buff and I like the way they were able to bring the Mexican atmosphere while leaving things like the original ceiling and other parts of the historic building alone. I will eat here when I'm in the Atchison area.

I've eaten there for years, but one of my recent stops made me realize it's more than just the food. Please read on.... An immigrant showed me friendship in food, even though I was a stranger. The place was packed and the only open table was where the workers sit. I was by myself, but one of the restaurant workers came up with her lunch and gestured to me if she could sit at the table. I smiled and said "Si." I noticed she was eating birria tacos with consomme and it looked delicious. She saw me and laughed, said something in Spanish which I think translated into "Would you like some birria and consomme?" I nodded yes and she went back to the kitchen and returned with a small container. You can tell from the video the broth was rich, the birria was tender and fatty (but in the best way)! I tried to convey to her it was great and thank you. She asked me something in Spanish and I could only respond in a gringo "Que'?" I finally used Google Translate and she was asking if I worked nearby. I was dressed in my blue collar clothes! I used the App to tell her I drove in from my part of town and she smiled and laughed. I think she understood how much I loved eating at Don Antonios, because I would drive at least 25 minutes to eat there. If she only knew I'm there every week! This experience reinforced what I already knew. Immigrants are kind and caring people. Just like my grandparents when they arrived in America before WWII. I also know what my family and I have experienced when you don't look like the majority.... Just my two cents and a tip of the hat to an immigrant who showed me friendship in food, even though I was a stranger.

You order at the end of the counter and then follow the line of diners to the cash register to pay. Most were taking their orders to go, but there is a small section of tables if you want to dine in.
