My wife and I started going t tis location 2022 it was great for a few years but earlier this year we had a very bad experience with service and cold food so we stopped going. This Taco Bell had a $9 discovery lux box advertised with the new beef strip dipping taco, I asked to order it. The lady over the intercom proceeded to tell me that did not exist. I told her it was on the menu in front of me but she kept escalating and arguing with me until she was screaming and swearing at me. She told me to come to the front window, but was replaced by a middle aged white man who said it wasn't offered here. That's all we needed, I didn't come here to be screamed at by a teenage girl. I just wanted food. This is the WORST service I have ever received from a fast food restaurant. I have lived here for 20 years, and sure sometimes Taco Bell isn't a 5 star restaurant. There's no reason why cars are sitting in the drive thru waiting for more than 40 min. The parking lot is not packed and there's 5 cars held up in the drive thru. When we got the order the tacos were in pieces that you would need a spoon to eat it. when I called the store asked if it was a franchise or corporate, asked for a manager the person that answered the phone said she manager I asked for her name she refused to give it I asked for the franchise owner information, she refused to give it I said about how unprofessional they are with answering the drive-through, laughing and giggling she said that I was wrong by saying that nobody could have fun. Went into drive thru and waited more than hour from line up to picking up the food. Arrived at 11:40pm with five cars ahead of us -- and left at 12:45am. We ordered 3 party packs. The girl taking the orders was so slow and had me repeating myself on what we wanted. It was a simple order: 3 party packs -- 2 supreme crunchy tacos and soft tacos, and the 3rd party back was regular tacos. We wanted to escape the line after 45 mins, but we were trapped between cars and couldn't get out. We also spent nearly $80 for 36 tacos. When we got home, they forgot the sauces and the tacos just seemed carelessly put together. I know it's fast food but dang! I have never waited more than an hour for any fast food service. I ordered a quesadilla with rice, a drink, guacamole, sour cream, and cinnamon twists for dining in. What came was an uncooked, uncut, quesadilla, and cinnamon twists. I got no receipt, no drink, no rice. The guacamole and sour cream were dripping from the uncooked taco shell. I returned it and asked to have the toppings separate and the shell cooked. The second came out, still no rice, bottom still unbrowned. I tried to eat one piece but it literally fell off my fork. I returned it and was told it was as I ordered. There was no recourse. I went back up and asked for the manager - it turned out to be the kid I had just talked with and I had him pull up my order. I asked for a receipt since they didn't give me one. All of a sudden, i could get a receipt and then the "real manager" walked in. I got my receipt, finally, and money back for what I didn't get. There were six people working, two huge fans blowing and 3 people in the dining room. Every customer that came in had to ask for drink cups and several had mobile orders that had been sitting. Lunchtime drive-thru (Practicing Covid-19 Social Distancing Protocol). The long line reflects these times of uncertainty, since these fast food joints are already set up for curb-side service, I think people flock to the fast food brands out of convenience especially during the lunch hour. It seems everyone is working for an essential business here in Deland - I haven't seen the traffic flow decrease as much as you would think with a "stay at home order" in effect. I don't think I've ever felt as good about eating fast food ever! I mean when was the last time you were handed fast food by a employee that looked like a surgical nurse, gloves, mask, hairnet and sanitation practices actually being followed. I think that this covid monster could remind us that we all could improve our hygiene and change some bad habits that it seems the world had defaulted to. It was nice to see a friendly staff that actually appreciates it customers instead of the employee's robotic posture that seemed to have become the norm. The products here were well constructed and delicious, could it be that implementing good housekeeping protocols could also subconsciously improve food handling practices by the employees. Happy hour is from 2-5pm and the freeze's that are regular sized are supposed to be $1 but I got charged regular price when i went in at 4:30. Went here about a month ago, and will never go back again...it was about 11:45am, my order wasn't too big, I was going to sit and eat in the restaurant, but decided that I would just get some food for myself, my son, brother and sisters, and take it home to eat! I had a chalupa, which is supposed to be a crispy sandwich with meat, beans, sour cream, lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese, pressed into a sandwich, I have had it before and it was really good! First, the only things on my Chalupa was little meat, lettuce and liquid cheese, not shredded cheese, which you can tell the difference, it is definitely not spicy, that's why I like it, I guess it took too long for them to put it all together...I live about a half mile from the restaurant, so it didn't stay in the bag too long! But my chalupa was like a greasy, flat pancake, with horrible taste! The restaurant and soda area was filthy, that's why I didn't eat there! They were out of napkins...they didn't want to work the register, they told everyone to go use the automated ordering machines at the head of the line! They were a bit busy, but there was plenty of staff in the back, that were acting rudely, they would holler out a name, and then toss the bag on the counter! I won't go back there any more...I wrote in on the website, and never got a response, and I had my receipt, and saved the lousy chalupa for a week, then tossed it! I couldn't get back there, because I was on the injured list, and had gotten this, in restaurant, on the way home from a doctor appt! Try it at your own risk! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE. The 2 girls at the front were very clearly talking about about us and saying nasty things. They were touching their phones while cooking our food, and kept giving me real soda after i asked for diet because i'm diabetic. I asked for a diet soda 3 different times and she didn't care each time and continued to tell me it was diet when it very clearly wasn't diet. This is the most mis-managed restaurant in Deland! Came in for a late lunch on Friday May 19th. We ordered at the kiosk. I ordered one burrito that came with sour cream and another one that didn't. I ordered a side of sour cream for the burrito that came without. I didn't get my side of paid for sour cream. The 12 year old in our group offered to take it back to the counter. A snippy employee says that burrito doesn't come with sour cream. I went to the counter and explained that I had ordered a side of sour cream for the burrito that had none. She just kept saying, that burrito doesn't come with sour cream. I know! It was useless. I paid twice for a side of sour cream. I was mad! I went back to the table and she turned the inside music on BLAST. To irritate me? Nope, it didn't, but other customers looked confused as to why the volume was blasting. This store has to be one of the worst Taco Bells I have been to. Sometimes it's hard to discern an even poorer experience when the bar has already been set so low but this store is a clear winner. We thought we'd give their app a try and pre-order so we could just pickup our order and go. My mistake. Instead of what should have been a seamless transaction, they found a way to make it yet another unforgettably nasty experience. We placed our order, paid and arrived at the time stated in the app, only to be greeted with, "Well, we don't have your order so you will just have to order again." When I tried to clarify, mistakenly giving this garbage pit the benefit of the doubt, the MANAGER rudely advised that if we wanted our food she would take our order and we could pay AGAIN and if we needed help with the app we should refer to the FAQ (Where there is NO order help). Now, having the feeling that perhaps we weren't understanding one another I gave her yet another chance at redemption and stated I had already paid, but with the gusto of a snotty elementary schoolgirl the manager coldly barked, "If you want food, you have to pay for it." Clearly, empathy and basic listening skills elude this model of elite leadership. This last experience is one that neither of us will forget as I will be having a chat with her corporate office regarding their glaring coaching opportunity and utter lack of service. Not to mention, the myriad of previous transgressions we have overlooked in the name of "what do you expect of a fast food restaurant?" I can't tell you how many times we have been missing items, received the absolute wrong thing or just waited 17 eternities in their line for food I usually won't eat while sober. We recently turned vegetarian and needed a quick snack to tide us over until dinner. We stopped in this taco bell and asked if they still did bean burritos fresca style (it's been over 10 years since I thought about it). We were told that they still did that and it meant they replaced the cheese with pico de gallo and lettuce. So we ordered that. My boyfriend also wanted some chips with cheese. He couldn't find it on the menu and neither could the cashier. However, she was able to ring it up. We were charged $1.79 for a half-full small ramekin of cheese and some chips. Rip-off! Then we open the bean burritos--no lettuce! So I go to the cashier and she says "oh i guess they don't come with lettuce. I thought they did." And the proceeds to try to charge me $.43 for a small pinch of lettuce! Um, no thanks. Not to mention, they was little to no pico de gallo in the burrito. I spotted two small pieces of tomato. I was greeted by a very rude employee who raised her voice and told me that I wasn't allowed inside without a mask. Are they crazy??? We tell the person taking the order what we want and they read it back to us and then when we go to pay and get our food, it's always wrong and some things don't get rang up. Now tonight they decided to give us 5 drinks on a 4 drink holder. Now why would they do that? The 5th drink that sitting in the middle spilt and the lady with the hickeys on her neck was rude and didn't even offer to give napkins till we asked for some. This Taco Bell has messed up more than 5 of my orders. The ladies who take the orders are alway rude. When we say there's not this or this item in the bag they always say it didn't get rang up, even though they read it back to us, after that fact we say we wanted this or that item.
