The outside is quite unassuming, and as the place only takes up a single "slot" in the row of shops along the main street, it is quite narrow inside. Not a problem for me, as I was alone, so taking up a small table near the entry was not a problem. I was greeted when I walked in and told to sit anywhere, so the small table was perfect for me. Inside is decorated relatively sparsely, but it is appropriate. The menu is what you would expect in pretty much any pho house, if you have been to a few. I went for a standard beef and meatball pho and the summer rolls, as I do love a good summer roll. They of course came out first, and I started in on them as I read my book and waited for the pho to come out. Both dishes were quite good, and if I am in the area I will absolutely be returning. It is a good heartwarming food experience, and in the colder months it is a perfect way to warm up a bit.

The issue became even worse when our entrees arrived and, almost immediately after, staff started stacking chairs around us at approximately 9:12 p.m. We had only been seated maybe 15-20 minutes earlier, so as a party of five on a Saturday night, we certainly did not expect the restaurant to begin visibly shutting down while we were just starting our meal. What made it even more frustrating was that these tables were already available when we first walked in, despite being told there would be a wait. Since we were entertaining guests, we thought this would be a great opportunity to show off the rooftop, which is such a great feature for a small town like DeLand and has so much potential. Instead, the experience became embarrassing and disappointing. Having staff stack chairs and place them on tabletops in the middle of our meal felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and made us feel rushed out rather than welcomed. When we asked to speak with a manager, the response we received was that "the servers have to go home." That explanation was unacceptable. Paying customers should never be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially while actively dining. With my own background in restaurant service and management, I found both the handling of the situation and the manager's response to be extremely poor. The small crowd there were regular customers filling the main dining area tables and bar. The fun camaraderie between guests was uplifting. They were all taking turns singing karaoke, eating great food, enjoying a variety of drinks from Dr. Pepper, Wine, Beer and/or Sake. The owners were gracious and fun. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was SOOO......GOOD! I ordered the Pork Noodle Salad which came with house dressing. I added Sweet Thai Chili sauce to it I like the kick. It was a large portion and I'm a small eater so I brought plenty home. Put it in the fridge and went back about an hour later for more and it was even better cold. The pork was so flavorful and the pickled carrots and diacon was the perfect topping. I'm sorry I didn't think to take a picture at the restaurant. But I can show you the leftovers still in the to go box as I dive in.
