I'm not much of a fast food connoisseur so I'm not the expert on how Taco Bell compares to other chains. They succeeded at timeliness of the order, it was complete right away, but no one helped me when I walked in to pick it up. They looked at me and then ignored me, so customer service wasn't great. It's also in a dirtier area and being able to see into the kitchen makes what your eating unappetizing because you see the uncleanliness of where your food is made. When I ate my Crunchwrap supreme there was no crunch and the insides were bland and it was minimally filled. Pretty pathetic compared to the picture. I added my own cheese and sour cream and guacamole since they put little in. Even then it was just a mush pocket of bleh flavors. Definitely my first and last time at Taco Bell. I've visited this Taco Bell several times. They seem to get orders right 50% of the time. The spheres of cinnamon & cream cheese deliciousness are great when there's actually cream cheese in them. Again, it's about 50% of the time. They are not usually too busy. Parking lot is small, no drive thru. Staff is friendly enough. I was distraught when they were no longer making their Mexican Pizza, but am glad the Mexican pizza is on offer again or I'd have little incentive to go. read more

This location continues to impress. Out of all the Taco Bells in the surrounding area, this one consistently gets it right. Rarely a long line and the food is ready fast. Best Taco Bell location I've ever been to. No drive through but the food is consistently great amongst all Taco Bells. It's in the original architectural "bell" brick building with an updated interior. They are primarily mobile and kiosk orders and are focused on filling orders quickly. I've never seen such a small location with 5 crew members. I wish all Taco Bells were this good. read more

In pursuit of nacho fries, Emily L. and I came here late at night for the goods. The original plan was to split one, but when we saw how cheap they were, and that there was no line at 10:30 p.m., we said "why the heck not?" Nacho fries are pretty darn good, especially at $1 for a cup with spicy-ish queso. The amount of spice wouldn't even trigger a tear. There are a couple other options for nacho fries, loaded with other things, but these were a solid 8/10 by fast food standards. Fries are kinda soggy but seasoned well; queso is just enough for double-dipping. While it's nice they have their fire sauce packets at the front of the pick-up counter, that's probably why they were almost out when we came. It wasn't a stellar fast food experience -- honestly, walking into this Taco Bell is depressing in comparison to the one on Calle Real. It's got a cool '80s feel to it, though. read more

Weird location, only small tables indoor seating. It's also got an awkward parking lot so even pickup isn't the best. I only come here because the other location is being renovated. Employees here are chill, they get my order right and I'm good to go. Tip: I think think this one is open later than normal due to the renovations so you're good to go if it's past 11. Food itself taste like any other Taco Bell. I have to give this place 3 stars for a couple reasons. First reason being the box our food came in broke and all our hot sauces and tacos fell out. They only had one sticker holding the box together so the other box almost broke as well... but we had to go back in to request a plastic bag to put all the food in. We were not happy about that. Second reason being our nachos were missing pico de Gallo (and we paid extra for extra pico de Gallo). I will most likely be trying other taco bells when we are in the mood read more

To stave off the gout as the result of my decadent gastronomic lifestyle, I occasionally dabble in the common food of Taco Bell. Just kidding. Truth be told, I have a strange obsession with nacho cheese sauce and Taco Bell fills that need, and for just a few pieces of pocket change. The two eating spots are: * Shame and Shady section - tucked further away in the back, on the Hollister side, so people can eat here without being seen too publicly. This is a franchise fast food chain so there is not much to say about the quality of the food. The real driving point on deciding whether or not to dine at this particular Taco Bell is the customer service. The reason for my low rating (1 star) is because of one individual, a cashier named Nancy. On multiple occasions, I have been unfortunate enough to interact with her abhorrent presence. Her constant, angry demeanor and lack of enthusiasm towards serving customers ruins the complacent atmosphere of Taco Bell. 1. The first time I interacted with her, she refused to change my order. I placed an order for 3 regular tacos. Before I paid, I decided, why not make the tacos 3 supreme tacos. I asked her nicely if she could change my order and she replied with one word, "no". I asked why and she simply replied "Because I can't". At this point, feeling discouraged to continue this conversation, paid for my 3 regular tacos. Apparently, 40 cents more per taco for some sour creme was not an option when Nancy is working. 2. On a separate occasion, I went to Taco Bell with my friend of Hispanic decent. Once again, Nancy was the cashier. This time, I decided to order a 12 Taco Box. I receive my order and decide to count to see if all 12 tacos were in the box to pass the time while I waited for my friend to receive his order. As I counted the tacos, I overhear Nancy talking about me with her co-worker in Spanish. With my limited knowledge of Spanish, as well as my friend next to me, I understood the entire conversation. Apparently, (insert racial slur) are (insert stereotype). I never knew counting tacos was such an offense. For the time being, I will not be dining at Taco Bell (well, when Nancy is working). The other location nearby is updated and looks a lot fancier and nicer, but the staff here is always very friendly to me and gets my order right and timely. I've never had an issue. This I bright and spacious. The staff is friendly and seems to have been trained in courtesy. I like that the attempt to wait for you to pick up your food, nice touch. The food is about the best you are going to do with fast food. Not much fat or sodium. Restrooms are always clean. Unfortunately there is a dog in here. Strawberry starburst freeze is amazing better than the slurpee if you like something cool and sweet. The menu is starting to cater to vegetarians and people that are more conscience of a diet with the Catina items. In the fast food world that's a plus. Finally took my order and then it took forever to get it because they started chit chatting again before making it! They also make the food horribly. My bean burrito just had a smear of beans. Another burrito which contained rice literally had a sprinkle of rice. I saw her fill the scoop halfway and then lightly shake it over the burrito. Parking is awful. It's tiny and dirty. We came in to get food when we were seen by the manager Salvador who was very snappy and disrespectful when I asked him for a quesarito. He told me I needed the app in order to order this item when I asked him if there was a reason he then insinuated that I was stupid and told me to get the app and that he couldn't help me . Different than any Mexican food I have ever had, I am not sure if the the tortillas are handmade but they were very soft and yet crunchy in a supreme way. The tacos come in these wonderful colorful wrappers and the cheese is shredded in a remarkably uniform manner, the staff of cooks should be applauded for how accurate the food was when compared to the bright signage. My double-decker (one of their originals) looked just like its poster version. Stunning really, this food was equally easy to digest, as if half the digesting had been done for me in advance I have been eating at this franchise for a while now and I have to say if you only go out once in a while, you will get exactly what you expect from the Goleta Taco Bell. read more
