Good luck finding a TB with more than a 2 star rating. This one is no different. It all depends on who is working there at the time of your visit. Sometimes it is quick and pleasant. Yet, most times its a completely new staff from the previous visit. Flip a coin. It is always sad seeing them completely ignore dine in or carry out customers. TB should just close their diners. Complete trash experience there. You also have to ask for sauces after you get your food because they're too lazy to care - even though sauces is a big part of eating at TB. read more

The staff is racist and this is coming from a White Male. My sister went in and attempted to order but the staff ignored her. I came in and got the order placed, and then the buffoon of a manager who was working the drive thru line informed the staff to wait to drop our order until the drive thru was done. This Taco Bell is close to work so I've been there many times. I regularly think of it as a "bad" Taco Bell but it is close by. I try to get ahead of it because of its convenience. I check my items before I leave a drive thru because they almost always forget something. But I dealt with it. I went there today and the dining room was closed because they are short on staff. From dealing with the manager, I imagine any potential employees run for the hill when they deal with this lady. How she ever got a job where she has to interact with people blows my mind. Anyway I went to the drive thru and before they hand me the bag I ask for "a lot of fire sauce". The woman said she can't give me a lot, she can only give me 6. I asked if she can just give me more because I know how much fire sauce I like. She said she can't and then got the manager. Then both proceeds to yell at me why they can't give me more. I said I need atleast two packets per item (I had 4) and they said that policy is to give me one. That can't be true, right? When the dining room is open I'll grab handful after handful of hot sauces without a care in the world. Anyway the manager eventually, sarcastically threw in an extra packet. So I called up the Taco Bell customer service to complain. They told me they were wrong and they are sending me some free food vouchers. But I asked them if it is policy to only give one hot sauce packet per item. Of course it isn't. Anyone who has ever been to a Taco Bell knows that it couldn't possibly be true. The best I can think is maybe the standard procedure of hot sauce distribution is one per item but when a customer asks for more they clearly have to give more. Imagine going to McDonalds and they limit your ketchup. It's insanity. Hot sauce is Taco Bell's ketchup. Anyway I'll clearly never go this Taco Bell again. I suggest you don't either. Stopped at the Independence location this evening, our last visit was 3 months ago because of the way the food was.. tonight I ordered the steak burrito, 2 tacos and drink meal also ordered the chicken quesada, taco and drink plus 1 5 layer burrito. The steak burrito had 1 peice of steak, missing a taco, chicken quesada missing chicken on one section. If we lived closer to the restaurant I would of went back. This restaurant used to be better than the Taylor Mill location ( this one is horrible and we haven't stopped there for over 4 years) this one maybe next. read more

Our family just moved to Independence and I have tried to give this particular Taco Bell a chance four times. Every single time something is not right with my order. Today I ordered 3 supreme tacos with extra cheese. I was charged $1.50 for extra cheese, which is fine because I want it. However, I get home (3 miles away) and no extra cheese on any of the tacos AND 2 of the tacos were soggy and old. I couldn't even pick them up!!!! did a drive thru order and a mobile for my friend and i ordered them and when i got to window they took forever, gave me both the wrong orders. and then when we came back to get our actual meal we ordered, they tried to make us look stupid saying that our orders were just combined. but they weren't. they were rude, and clearly didn't care. they sounded half asleep and kept making faces at us. the food was cold when we got it remade and they did NOT wear gloves. i will not be back there. the atmosphere was gross and disgusting. they still got my order wrong after i told them it twice after they had already messed up the first time. read more

I have a huge water jug in my room filled with spare change. If I go to this Taco Bell location (Independence, Ky) one more time and they tell me they are accepting cash only, I am going to go get that change jug and order 100 worth of food, make you all count it out and then say nevermind!!!! I'm a regular and i order a no meat queserito and every time theyy ask if I want a black bean one and I say no I just want a regular queserito with no meat. Stopped by here on my way home because I wanted a treat. Ordered a caramel apple empanada and was told the wait would be about five minutes, which was no problem. The manager handed me my order and he doubled my order because of the five minute wait (which was a very unexpected surprise). My double xl burrito was garbage it looked as if they took a soft taco filling and put it in a big ass burrito tortilla, they also put guacamole in it when it isn't even supposed to come with guacamole and my husbands supreme tacos were very soggy. I love Taco Bell food. Sue me. I know it's not "authentic Mexican" or "authentic" anything, really, but it's damn good, especially if you're drunk or otherwise under the influence. The problem with this location is that you never know when they're actually going to be open, and when they are open they seem determined to make it as difficult as possible to order. Multiple times I have pulled up to the drive-thru window and nobody ever came to the speaker. Their hours of operation are completely arbitrary. Really it just seems like the employees don't want to do any work. The hours posted on the door state they are open until midnight on weekdays, and 1am on weekends, but its rare I see the lights on past 11. One night I got my food at 10:37pm and as soon as I left the window they shut all the lights off outside. If you go to this location, go before 10pm. Otherwise it's a roll of the dice whether they're open or willing to serve you. read more

Every time I come to this location their machines are down and can only accept EXACT change.
