Hire people that knows how to do their job!! This place just can't seem to get it right. If you drive up, best not leave until you check everything. Unless you order a single taco, chances are your order will be messed up. Once, I got someone else's entire order along with my own. I was in there about a week ago. They were out of mild taco sauce. (Not empty--out entirely.) There were no napkins. The first type of soda I tried was out, as was the second. While I was there, a lady came storming in madder than hops because she had been back twice to get her drive up order corrected. Yikes! I have NEVER had such terrible customer service as what I experienced today at the Taco Bell located at 2491 S, Rte 291, Independence, MO 64057. I went through the restaurants drive through and ordered a Chalupa Cravings box. The representative advised they were out of cinnamon twist and asked if we would like them to substitute chips and cheese. I told her that would be okay. After completing my order I looked at the menu board and notice I am being charged $.50 for their substitution. I asked the representative why there was a charge for the substitution. She replied because you're not getting the cinnamon twists. Trying to explain the situation, I state that they are out of cinnamon twists, so the chips and cheese are the only option available to me, therefore there should be no additional charge. When I finish speaking a Male gets on the speakers and advises that I can either pay the $.50 or order something else. I attempt to explain my position with the person. During my attempt to explain the situation to him my tone does not change, or get louder. He then proceeds to start screaming at me saying that he doesn't have to, "deal with my bullshit and if I don't like it I can take my happy ass somewhere else or order something different." I would like to reiterate that at NO during this conversation did my voice change or get louder- I simply asked the logical question... WHY? After the Male finished berating me I asked to speak with the general manager and he responded he was the general manager. I was in utter shock. How can someone in a higher position of power have such poor customer service skills. I have never been so offended or just amazed at the lack of professionalism displayed, at most by a general manager- who probably is responsible for training their team members. This is now the third time that I have left this particular Taco Bell location displeased and outright angry to say the least. This incident included my wife being insulted and disrespected by the manager on duty, who will remain nameless by choice. I guess she felt that she did not want her name tied to this offensive experience. However, she has blonde hair and wears glasses and was on duty at 10:15pm on 10/6/2018. In addition to being incredibly rude, we were also missing two items from our order and were not given a receipt.
