I had the MC yum yum burrito with beans and rice inside and added green salsa and poblano ranch. Fire!! I'm already craving another one. A few things I wish for- the physical menu copies need a lot more description . I don't know off the top of my head what's in an Austinite so I have to take up time at the kiosk looking up each variation. Also, the seating inside is not welcoming like it used to be. When they're firing on all cylinders the food from Capital Tacos is so good. Unfortunately I've experienced problems multiple times from here. I called recently because I was frustrated that twice in a row I had ordered the ground beast nachos and my order was incorrect. The order clearly states "black beans & NO mexican rice" but I received no black beans. I wasn't trying to get anything for free and just wanted to let the kitchen know they were making orders incorrectly. The black beans are a main reason why I get this dish so it's incredibly frustrating for this to keep happening. Everything seemed fine because the next two times I ordered it my order was correct. But once again the exact same thing happened to me: no black beans. The quality of the chips you get also varies wildly. Sometimes they're perfect and delicious but more than once I've received burnt chips that were awful. It's expensive to get delivery from here and I'm not going to do it any more but hopefully they can fix these issues for their other customers.

I almost ALWAYS order the King's Memorial combo because for around $18, the amount of food you get is ridiculous--in the best way. You get a crispy taco, three enchiladas (cheese, beef AND chicken), Mexican rice and refried beans, plus crispy chips underneath the taco covered in that creamy queso. It hits the spot every single time, and I ALWAYS have leftovers. Little piece of advice: EAT THE TACO FIRST. Crispy tacos deserve to be enjoyed fresh and crunchy. They are not tomorrow's problem. My friend usually gets one of the burrito combos, which comes with a HUGE burrito, Mexican rice and black beans. She loves hers and usually ends up taking leftovers home too. Our service over multiple visits has consistently been good--20%-tip-worthy good--and the staff is usually pleasant and helpful. There are A LOT of restaurants to choose from in this area, especially if you're already over here shopping, so I know picking somewhere can get overwhelming. But if you like Tex-Mex and you've driven past Chuy's thinking, "Hmm... I wonder if that place is any good?" I definitely recommend stopping in at least once. If you hate it, I'm sorry.
