Mexican tacos don't have sauce. Al pastor DOES NOT HAVE SAUCE. Sure change the recipe to make it your own, but put it on your menu that your tacos include sauce, or tell us when we are buying your food. Why doesn't the menu say that your tacos include sauce? What kind of sauce is this? Who knows, but I'm not going to try it. Not everyone likes mystery sauces. If you're gonna put a mystery sauce on your food mention it on the menu! Love this location and vibration of this food truck. Right on the side of 41 in Lutz and a bunch of picnic tables are available. There is also a covered section right by the truck where you order. It is run very efficiently and has immaculate flavor and options. They treat every order individually and are not concerned with getting it out as quick as possible but as tasty as possible. There is also a freezer with drinks so you can wash your meal down with specialty juices/sodas. First time ever having a torta on sourdough and it definitely didn't disappoint! Birria tacos win hands down. Lots of flavor, good texture, and a generous cup to dip in. The horchata wasn't great though, it was a bit watery. The food truck sits alone on a big vacant unpaved lot with some picnic tables. The guy who took my order was super friendly and there were only a few other people there since I was having an off-hour lunch. Unlike other locations, this is a food truck with approx. 14 picnic tables and a large unpaved area or parking. It is easy to miss when going doing along 41/Nebraska. If you pass a red/green/gray Gas station, you've driven too far. You order , wait about 10 minutes, and when your beeper beeps, you get your food. There is a small cart that has napkins and plastic cutlery. I ordered 1 Carne Asada burrito ($12). It came with a small serving of tortilla chips. The burrito was warm after 15 minutes. I appreciate that the burrito was intact and even during eating. Many fall apart like wet tissue paper and are messy, but Chapo was solidly packed. And there was no rice unlike the big chains! The steak was well seasoned and there was a good amount of veggies/pico. 4/5 Cons: Closed Sunday fully It is fully exposed, so you have to brave the elements or get takeout. Overall: Pretty good. Wasn't impressed at new location .. sorry. The salsa tasted like Tomatoe sauce . The queso and guac were good. Well, maybe it's me, since I'm from the west coast of the US and this is Florida. The taco places in Florida seem to lack authentic Mexican flavor, especially compared to the Mexican food trucks in California and central Washington State. I dropped in to Los Chapo's food truck in Lutz (near Blessings gasoline) at 2:30PM, so that's a possible reason for my poor impression of their food. Maybe it's better during the lunch hour. I had the Birria Tacos and an Al Pastor street taco. The Birria Tacos were so loaded with Mozzarella that they tasted to me like Italian food rather than Mexican. The Al Pastor meat was super dry, the worst Al Pastor of my life (Al Pastor is my favorite taco meat). Both contained a huge amount of salt! So much salt I tasted it on my tongue all night! I appreciate how the proprietors try to make the seating area pretty. That's a plus. And maybe I came at a bad time. But at these prices, I'm not eager to gamble on another attempt. The presentation and texture caught me by surprise as it was sort of like a grilled cheese. It came with a beef dipping broth but I thought it was a soup and ate it with s spoon. It was so good it could have easily passed as a soup to the point that I brought an extra cup home for my daughter. I highly recommend Los Chapo's Tacos! You order at the taco stand and can eat at picnic tables right in front. They have umbrellas to shade the tables. They have games for the kids to play while they wait too. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! Ordered: Shrimp quesadilla ($12.95)- this was a good sized quesadilla filled with tons of shrimp! The shrimp were well seasoned and the outside of the tortilla was crunchy. It had sour cream on the side. Carne asada burrito bowl (around $15)- I like that you can customize your bowl and all toppings are complimentary aside from guacamole. I had rice, black beans, steak, corn, sour cream, cheese, sweet plantains, guacamole and pico de gallo. It was large and so so delicious! Absolutely TERRIBLE Customer service & FUNKY ATTITUDES in addition to Unsanitary practices and mediocre food! We literally just left and there were two ladies working and one man. NO ONE greeted us or spoke and just stood there staring at us like we were lost. When we stepped up to order I could see she initially typed the order in wrong and it took a while to get a slight bit of clarity. Additionally, we sat right at the table and watched the lady in the window squirt hand sanitizer into a napkin, go into the Porta Potty and later come out walking RIGHT PAST the water and soap station. Now who wouldn't use soap and water when serving food ??? I'm certain she wiped the toilet seat with it but didn't bother to wash a hand when she was done! Next, when I came to the window to retrieve my food the lady that was cooking reached right for the pager in my hand (using her cooking gloves) and then went right back to cooking. I mean these are the most UNFRIENDLY employees, I have EVER seen and NASTY TOO and I will NEVER return! read more

Just as delicious as the main location near Ybor! We love what they did with the area near this food truck... a large covered area with tables and plenty of small pebbles so it doesn't get muddy. The menu is the same. I ordered my usual tacos as pastor and loved them! I'm so glad there's two locations of this business and that they're both fantastic! read more

Saw this place on IG and it looked amazing! So I had to try it. Parking is on both sides and PLENTY so you don't have to worry about that. Once you open the door the aroma of Mexican spices and favors hit you. I ordered tacos de birria and a can of coke. Total $12.50-ish. Love the prices! I wasn't sure if they were out or they just don't sell aguas (flavored waters) they have a sign but the fridge was full of sodas, gatorades and water. The guy didn't question me when I said so you don't sell them in general which kinda sucked. The birrias had plenty of meat and cheese they were so delicious. I wasn't a fan of the stew which is a huge factor of them. It tasted artificial. Watch out for the salsa roja (red) It is definitely spicy and addicting. If you are like me that needs salsa on everything and want my nose to run then it was so good! Salsa verde (green) not spicy and it did not taste good. I'm not sure what it was missing but it needed something. Food 10/10 lost a star due to the stew, salsa verde and no aguas frescas. Staff was friendly and very nice. They give you a buzzer once your food is ready you just pick it up. No food pictures, I devoured it before I thought of taking a picture. read more

First time trying and unfortunately they got my order wrong. Burrito was still flavorful however. Aside from the extra ingredients I requested off of it my only issue was the chicharons were soggy. I can't really knock them for it cause I think it's a cultural difference. We usually eat ours crispy. So heads up unless you enjoy pork chunks with the fat on stear clear. There's plenty of other good options. The Esquites and the queso were very good. My wife and I thoroufy enjoyed both. Hers was made with everything and added shrimp. Mine was plain Jane minus cilantro and onion. Her tacos she mentioned the pastor was a bit dry but her chorizo taco was "fantastic" I'll have to give them another shot. Like I said my only real issue was the order being messed up on my burrito and it's kind of pricey. What you see was 50 bucks. Hopefully next time when I get tacos I'll be able to update my review. Salsa it's super refreshing and you can add the spice at your taste perfectly though! They have green salsa and red salsa freshly made daily like the aguas etc . Nice crunchy nachos the triple dip was totally delicious! A must try! The cheese very tasty has fresh peppers and flavor . Birria tacos are perfection! Cero oily with a very delicious dipping sauce like a beef consomé absolutely no fat on it . The aguas frescas are very refreshing and not overly sweet, pineapple and Jamaica are really nice . They have a very nice and spacious outdoor seating seat up with picnic tables and umbrellas very comfortable organized and clean inviting a lot of parking space and shaded areas under the trees . Service was fast . We came for lunch time around 1:30pm on a Wednesday and it was not crowded we had only one person in front of us ordering and they gave us the food in 10 minutes.
