Spruce Pine is a hidden gem in the North Carolina High Country and so is Blue Ridge Tacos. Great salsa bar with eight different varities . . . many of them are "El Scorcho" (hot). The cook came out to my table TWICE to ask me how I wanted my vegan tacos prepared . . . that's what I call service. The El Chapalas, La Carretas and Los Arcos will do in a pinch, but this little place in downtown Spruce Pine is a big step up. I'm so glad I found this restaurant.

It's my understanding that it was a food truck, prior to the Hurricane Helene. Now you can go round to the left side of the brewery and order food at the window. Go back inside and order beer or wine, if you like, and then your food is brought to you. Well, our food was brought to us. There were not many people at the time and it began to rain as we ordered. We were told to go ahead and go back inside the brewery and they brought our nachos to us when they were ready. $14 for this ginormous, DELICIOUS tray of nachos. We spilt it and still couldn't finish it all. I can't tell you the last time we had dinner out together and it cost us less than $20, before tip. Seating is also available outside. This is a really sweet little spot that seems to bring in the dinner traffic. Several nights we passed by and it looked like quite a party was going down.

Apparently people have complained it was too hot, but i managed to convince him to give me 2. If you like spicy food, make sure you get 2 of the sauce cups!! He said i wouldn't use even one of the cups on the whole thing but ended up using both with burrito to spare, but it was the perfect amount. AMAZING SAUCE.
