Are you kidding me! So we ate the tacos dry. The brisket taco was def needing something, but all they had at the counter was packets of chalula... When we finished up, I notice another customer ask for green salsa, and surprise, all of a sudden this taco shop was closer to a normal taco shop. One that provides salsa for their tacos, no charge. The epitome of a community coming together, The Grey Eagle Taquria is currently located inside/adjacent to what I believe is called Big Pillow Brewery. It's my understanding that it was a food truck, prior to the Hurricane Helene. Now you can go round to the left side of the brewery and order food at the window. Go back inside and order beer or wine, if you like, and then your food is brought to you. Well, our food was brought to us. There were not many people at the time and it began to rain as we ordered. We were told to go ahead and go back inside the brewery and they brought our nachos to us when they were ready. $14 for this ginormous, DELICIOUS tray of nachos. We spilt it and still couldn't finish it all. I can't tell you the last time we had dinner out together and it cost us less than $20, before tip. Seating is also available outside. This is a really sweet little spot that seems to bring in the dinner traffic. Several nights we passed by and it looked like quite a party was going down. read more

Enjoying a lunch in the courtyard on a beautiful fall day. Great tunes and even better food. A must get is the plantains, they are amazing and the aioli sauce is amazing. We enjoyed the Apple-lachian chicken taco and a burrito. Both were as scrumptious as the plantains. The service was great, with very friendly staff. A must stop in Hot Springs. This is located behind the Big Pillow Brewery, which is equally fabulous. First off, I hate food trucks, this really isn't a food truck, but close..... Having said that, we have eaten here several times and without a doubt, they have the best Guacamole I have ever had. Salsa and Queso equally epic! I do not know how they do it, so creamy, so smooth, very deep flavor! Awesome! Awesome! The chips are house made and come out hot with the oil still dripping, I added salt and was in nacho heaven!!!!!!!! We have had all there dishes and are all equally awesome. We drove into Hot Springs from our Max Patch hideaway expecting him to eat at another dining establishment, which we found to be closed. After looking around, we decided to try this unique establishment. We weren't expecting much, but we're pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I decided to order a burrito and chose the Carnita filling. It was flat out the best burrito I have ever encountered and I am a senior citizen! All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and the burrito itself was bountiful. I will definitely come back to this establishment. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the adjacent brew pub offers a very friendly and welcoming environment for munching on your food while enjoying one of their refreshing beverages. read more

This was a good little spot to grab lunch attached to Big Pillow Brewing. After ordering, they give you a buzzer. Everyone was very friendly. Lots of street parking. My mom and I both had the rice bowl with chicken which was pretty good. My dad had a couple tacos which are on 6in tortillas I believe the guy said. Tacos are a la cart and I thought they were a bit expensive for one ($4-6 each). We loved the chips and salsa. Nice big patio shared with the brewery. Dog friendly. Overall everything was yummy but I did think $45 for 3 people was a bit high overall for what it was. read more

This place is nicely tucked away off the main street and is right across from a brewery. They have inside and outside seating areas. We went around back and placed our order at the window. We heard the chicken empanadas were great so we thought we would put them to the test. This is a no frills experience. You place your order at the window and they give you a buzzer that vibrates when your order is ready. Our food was in a basket and napkins and plastic wear are at the window. The empanadas didn't take too long to make and first thing i noticed was the golden brown shell. I've had many empanadas over the years but none ever looked quite as appetizing as these did. We quickly dug in and first bite was the crust and air pocket. It was delicious. I peeked inside to see how much chicken was inside and it was less than half the deep fried pocket. Pretty typical as far as empanadas go. My only suggestion would be to either add a bit more chicken, vegetables or rice, and it would be stellar! We paid 8 bucks for 2 empanadas and they were delicious. I could have used a third one as i was still a little hungry. But an overall very good experience. I highly recommend stopping by and trying them out for yourself. Whenever i think of an empanada in the future, I'll think of this place. read more

When we first started coming to the Grey Eagle, it was great. But in the last few months the food has shrunk in size, it wouldn't be so bad except the cost for their food is quite pricey. Their burritos are like that of a frozen burrito in the supermarket. It use to be a good size and full of meat and beans. Their taco are $6.00 to $7.00 and are almost like street tacos. If you order several of them they are between $18.00 to $21.00 and you don't receive any side or chips. If you want sides you order them separately and they come in a small condiment container. I hope they improve their quantity of food soon. read more

We only had the dip platter, chips, guacamole, queso, & salsa. And it was all okay. The chips were fresh - thin & crispy & salty enough. 10/10 for the chips. But all of the dips were just so, so. Guac was the Best But lacked flavor. Salsa tasted like plain tomato paste that had been thinned out a little. And the queso tasted like plain velveeta. We weren't fussed about it. But had planned to eat dinner here and after the dips decided against it. We could also see into the kitchen and on more than one occasion I could see staff members eating over top of prep tables that clearly had food on them. As someone in the food industry, I realize this happens all the time. But maybe close the door from the brewery to the kitchen read more

Food was decent, but took an extremely long time. About an hour to get one Mahi Mahi taco and rice bowl, the Caribbean Mahi Mahi taco was good, but skimpy for $7 for one. I should have ordered 2. My husbands rice bowl was good but he order chicken and it looked and tasted like shredded pork - even though the cashier said it was pork when he asked. The brewery there is nice and the outdoor space, but don't go there expecting a great dining experience. read more
