One of the beers was one he had before not on draft and was thrilled to try it on draft as he liked it way more. He was happy with their beer on draft selection. When deciding whether to choose the birthday or neapolitan cake we asked the gentleman at the register which he thought was better or more special. He recommended Neapolitan. So, it really did not hit me until this review that at GT, this is a given. They are well cooked, but not falling apart and not a hint of dryness that may be found in other corn tortillas. This is not a fancy place, it is in the flea market, for crying out loud, but that is a great place for it to be, and business is good. Tuesday Taco Night Perfection!…read more Tacos and Beer Paola in Lexington is such a gem. This unique spot sits next to its sister location--an older Stop & Go that's packed with Mexican boots, treats, sodas, and food goods--which already sets the vibe before you even walk in. We stopped in for Tuesday taco night and were immediately impressed. Chips and salsa came out with two fantastic salsas, both full of flavor. There's also a Pepsi cooler stocked with Mexican sodas and beers, which was a fun and authentic touch. The staff was beyond friendly--welcoming, patient, and genuinely happy to have us there. Now the tacos... wow. Finger-licking good. I devoured three tacos: brisket, steak, sausage, and cow head--every single one was incredible. The cheese dip was smooth, rich, and absolutely wonderful. My husband loved his chicken and steak tacos as well. If I had to give one tip: do not skip the roasted jalapeños. Trust me. We'll definitely be back soon--and next time, we're bringing the kiddos.
