My friends and I would stop in almost every week. Those meals became part of my routine and part of my memories growing up. Realizing it has been more than thirty years since those first visits makes it even more meaningful to see the restaurant still open today. I am sure the family behind it had been serving the community long before I ever moved to Dade City in the late 80s. The fact that they are still here after so many decades says everything about their dedication and the quality of what they serve. Some reviewers talk about a lack of spices, but that was never my experience. Little Mexico always delivered real flavor and real consistency. They never needed to rely on anything flashy. They simply cooked good food and stood by their recipes. If a restaurant can maintain a positive reputation across generations, it means they earned it. I truly hope the family is doing well. Seeing them still succeed after all these years brings back memories and emotion I was not expecting. It feels like a piece of my childhood is still standing strong.

The owner actually took the time to listen to what I was craving, not rushed, not surface level, she genuinely cared and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. You can tell she opened this place because something was missing in the area, and she decided to be the one to bring it. The tacos were exactly what I've been looking for, fresh, flavorful, simple in the best way, the kind where you take a bite and just know.
