Truly excellent--food quality is always consistent, and the margaritas never bother me. I'm very sensitive to alcohol and usually get bloated, but that never happens here, which tells me the liquor they use is authentic and pure. Don't let the outside fool you this place is GOOD ! Doesn't look like much outside but inside is quaint and very clean . Our server was a young man who was so polite and knowledgeable . Now to the food , I had 2 Al Pastor tacos that came with rice , refried beans and pico de giao? Hubby had chicken burrito with same sides . Both plates were excellent we had nothing to take home . Everything was cooked well and very tasty , service was excellent and prices are very reasonable . Nice surprise find. While driving in town decided to eat Mexican food and found this nearby on Yelp. The service was very friendly, and attentive. We ordered Queso fundido con chorizo for appetizer. Very good and nicely spicy. Entrees: Biria Tacos which my husband enjoyed and they were the best he had eaten in a while. I ordered Pork Tamale w chicken enchilada combo. Also very good. It has been a LONG time since I've had a great, and by great, I mean SUPER great experience!! My mom and I drove up to this establishment, and we almost left, because it's not the best looking place from outside. It's on a busy road, an old strip of stores and a veterinarian office, so it made us very apprehensive about going in. Well, WE ARE GLAD WE DID!!! We walked in, the hostess sat us right away, and I don't know if she was fluent in English, because she didn't answer a question my mom asked her; she nodded and smiled. Lol. It was fine, it wasn't important. After we were seated and had a quick glance at the menu, we were graciously greeted by a woman, and she was SO friendly!! She seemed very happy to be at her job, even joked with us, and we love that. My mom got a Bud Light, and I opted for water - she looked at me with a side-eye (jokingly), and made me laugh. We ordered chicken chimichanga, and had the option for beef, and I think pork as well, and she asked us what kind of sauce we wanted on top - we both ordered the exact same thing - so, chicken, and queso sauce. This did NOTTTT disappoint. It was so, so, so, so good!!!!! I ate at 7pm, and it is now 10pm and I'm STILL full! It was very filling! I will most definitely be back. When we arrived to this location there is a very little waiting area in the front. Unfortunately no one is taking names or advising how long the wait is. We watched two other groups leave due to this. However, once we were next the wait was not long at all and the service was very kind and friendly. The location is cutely decorated, dated (some seats look like they had rips and what not) but cute. Our server was very attentive and and extremely kind. You are provided with courtesy chips and salsa. The main food was great! However, the rice and beans were lacking in, something. We didn't even touch those. The dessert was also great! We did go when they were extremely busy due to a birthday party. We are definitely willing to go back and give them another try! read more

Very affordable Mexican version of a diner. Small menu: tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, chimichangas, etc. I ordered beef & chicken fajitas and they were steaming hot! It came with 3 tortillas and the sides in the photo. Everything was very nice and the staff was happy and helpful. I subtracted 1-star because the plastic menu was covered with salsa... but homemade salsa that had big chunks of cilantro in it and was delicious (on the food but not on the menu). read more

This is a difficult review to write. Here's why. On a first visit to any Mexican eatery, I tend to order a Chimichanga. That way I am comparing apples to apples, or Chimi's to Chimi's, in this case! I strayed from my usual first time meal on this visit. I dined alone on this day, without benefit of fab fiancée by my side. Together, we are pretty good at critiquing and bouncing ideas off of each other. Separately, I still 'Get it done', I just have to be extra attentive to details. No problem. First, I will say that the service is EXCELLENT! My server was the vivacious Adelia! She's one of those servers you'd like to clone and have her serve you anywhere you dined! She continually checked on me and was very thorough at helping me get acquainted with the menu and my options. Up front, I have TWO STANDARDS that I use to judge Mexican restaurants. Chips & Salsa, and Guacamole. If a place messes those up, it's typically a good indicator of what to expect of the forthcoming meal. Time and again it has proven to be correct. Bad Salsa or Bad Guac = Less than stellar meal. Here's the fun part! Alejandro's has WONDERFUL Salsa AND Guacamole! The salsa was full of tomato, cilantro and onion pieces in a just right consistency. Not too thin, not too thick. Packed with flavor! The Guacamole was creamy, rich and thick with little chunks of avocado. Love love loved it! For my entree, I ended up getting the Combination. With the Combo, you pick 3 items from the lists of 6 different Tacos, 5 Enchiladas and 5 Flautas. That's a whole lotta choices, 16 different menu items from which to choose! Along with a side of rice and refried beans. I narrowed it down to a Crispy Chicken Taco, a Veggie Enchilada with Red Sauce, and a Beef Flauta. So, how did the combo fair? The Taco was good, but nothing special. It got soggy along the bottom and fell apart, so it made for some amusing 'fork play'... The Veggie Enchilada was quite good. I really liked the flavors infused into the bits of peppers and onions. It was reminiscent of some Asian flavors, almost. Very fresh tasting and I truly enjoyed it. The Beef Flauta was just okay. At Adelia's suggestion, I dipped it into the guacamole and that did help. A nice touch. Here's what I didn't really care for.. Sorry. The beans were way over puréed. Completely smooth with no lumps or bits. It was like eating bean paste. I prefer a coarser texture with remaining chunks of beans swimming in a bit thicker base. And the rice was fairly flavorless and too dense. It didn't stick together, it just kind of stacked up like small yellow logs. Adding salt helped a tiny bit. In closing, I will certainly go back. I would love for Adelia to once again walk me through all things Alejandro's. But, I will order my USUAL Mexican dish, a Chimichanga. Then, I can truly gauge their Chimi against all others I've tried. Adelia, great Salsa and Guacamole is beckoning me to return. And I'll even show up with you know who!! (Fab One!). read more

We had a wonderful experience at Alejandro's last night! Staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. Lots of great menu options at reasonable prices. Everyone's meals were phenomenal. They went above and beyond by bringing my grandson some cheese dip since the salsa was too spicy for him. Had lunch here last week with my husband's aunt. Salsa is almost sweet tasting, not spicy or flavorful. They put a white creamy cheese sauce on everything, which is not something I've ever had on Mexican food before. (I'm from So Cal). I had a taco and enchilada plate. Taco was only shrimp and a few onions. Needed a good salsa/sauce. Enchilada had the weird white cheese sauce on it.
