I don't believe I selected anything when checking out to indicate that I wanted to be added to an email or birthday list, but I was added. I get enough spam on a daily basis, I don't need to get it from a restaurant that I visited and was located 90 miles from home, hence the 3 star review. I'm glad they are proud of their restaurant, but they need to understand that not everyone is as excited to hear about it. I blame Square as much as La Morena.

As each couple left. They paid their checks. We happened to be the last to pay. We told the person at the register what we each had ordered. They said okay, but there's $40 left here that someone didn't pay. So we had to pay it. And I'm checking with each of the other four couples, they'd all paid for all of theirs. I don't think they were trying to scam us (probably), but there was clearly some confusion. Our friend who'd made the reservation called but no manager was available. Her call was never returned. This was AFTER one person at our table didn't get his food until after everyone else had eaten already. And another person ordered a steak burrito that had precisely two pieces of steak in it. There was a drink mix-up as well. The food was good, per usual, but unfortunately, it was such a disappointing -and unnecessarily costly- experience that Mi Fam will no longer be on our list.
