We made a plan the previous night to stop in Tifton as we drove North from FL. I liked the reviews and this was a short ride from the hotel we had reserved. We were greeted by multiple staff who were eager to seat us after they cleaned a recently vacated outdoor table. Upon delivery of the chips & salsa and menus's, our drink order and appetizer order was taken. The weather was perfect and we love to people watch. Our draft beers were delivered and our mains were ordered. My wife selected the Sopes and I selected the Chimichanga meal with the Street Corn. We enjoyed sipping our drafts after the 5 hours of driving and the Poppers came soon after that. Great temperature, texture, and taste! Our main course came shortly after that and we dove into them. This place allows dogs and on the outside patio just sit under a fan. Without the fan the flies are relentless. So, better news. The food! The torta is huge!! So delicious and the margaritas are yummy. Service was good, not much English but she smiled a lot. The boys had the chicken bowl which they inhaled. I had the two chimichangas which I actually ate everything! First time ever! So good and a little out of the way, but a must go. Otherwise, inside is huge and very roomy and the bathrooms are clean. We randomly stopped at Taco Loco and were pleasantly impressed with this local restaurant. Taco Loco is in a stand alone building with its own parking lot. The interior has a fun, inviting atmosphere. We chose to sit inside but saw they have patio seating as well. Our waitress was incredibly friendly. She even worked with the kitchen to make sure they could get shrimp in our daughter's chimichanga. As a frequent visitor to many Mexican restaurants over the years, both in the US and in Mexico, this was one of the most authentic meals I've had in the US. Everything was delicious: from the tacos to the street corn. We enjoyed it all. I'm only sad that Taco Loco is so far away from my home, but if possible, I would definitely visit them again. read more

We were in Tifton for an errand today and looking for somewhere to eat. Since my husband promised in our wedding vows that we would have Mexican food once a week, we tried Taco Loco. When dining, you can choose to eat indoors, decorated for the season and holiday, or on the patio. Either is kept pristine clean and well attended by staff. The food... we eat a lot of Mexican, and this is probably the best I have ever had... stateside or in Mexico. The chef prepares beautifully not only in appearance but in flavors that are well balanced and complementary. We started with the Mexican guacamole then enjoyed Nachos pastor and the Cuckoo sandwich. The portions are generous, service attentive, and so much more that you will just have to try it for yourself! I ordered takeout from here last night and it was terrible. I had the chicken fajitas plate. Not only was the rice was burnt and over cooked, everything was salty. I called to speak to a manager, and was left on the phone with loud music blaring in the background. I hung up to call again, but the phone line was busy. Something has changed with this restaurant. We were passing through on a road trip and found this spot on yelp and we are very glad we stopped! Even coming from Jacksonville a large city we could not think of a spot equivalent to this. We ordered the house guacamole with pico and already knew we were off to a great start with the huge bowl that came out. We loved the additional crunch from the jicama. We also ordered the enchilada with green salsa (great spice and beautiful presentation) and the shrimp tacos (loved the toasted tortilla and FILLED with shrimp) Juan our server was also great! When we first walked in it was a small intimate Mexican restaurant. They had a outdoor patio and live music playing it looked clean on the inside in the bar and look nice on the outside. We did order our food for pick up and when I came in, they didn't have the order right but they quickly made it right and gave me my food, which was excellent. Super impressed by my meal here. The red salsa is awesome but also ask for the green which is another kind of awesome. The chips were great and a huge basket but I only ate a few because I'm doing the keto diet and brought in my own pork rinds to use. I got the Mexican style guacamole and it was super fantastic. I got the $30 steak and it was really good and again with that keto, I was happy that a salad was an option for a side instead of the usual rice and beans that you see at a Mexican restaurant. That salad was special. My server was a great young lady that really impressed me. Especially when I compared her to the two girls of a similar age sitting at the table next to me. Not crazy about the steak being served on a cutting board. The steak was so juicy that it ran off of the cutting board. Because the table was wobbly and leaning towards me, all of that juice found its way onto my dress pants. I don't live in the area but will be back for work in about a month and back again for another fine meal at this establishment. I'm going to look for a table that does not wobble. read more

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was delicious (I especially liked the beans) and the restaurant was clean and kid-friendly. Only reason for four stars is that many of the entrees were nearly $50 per person, which is pretty crazy for a Mexican place. The pricing was a bit nuts but otherwise we enjoyed it. read more

Hands down THE best Mexican joint in Tifton. Also guys, hands down THE best steaks in Tifton. The owners have made small he cinder block box into a vibrant, Cielo blue, tropical oasis. They also incorporate the colors into their dishes. Micro greens, brocolini, jicima, and cherry tomatoes accompany most dishes with their bright hues and flavors. Service is always friendly and prompt. Prices are fair for the pride and quality shown in their food.
