I always have trouble at the TV on 4th and Loop 289. Today we decided to go I and make sure our order was right. But...trying to get inside was a mess. I am disabled and walk with a cane. A worker was washing off the front area and the handicap ramp at 11:40 June 25th. It was very slippery. My granddaughter tried it before I walked up it. She slipped!! I went to the end of the sidewalk and tried to step up. I couldn't. It was too tall. Growing frustrated I stepped in the water to step up by the ramp. All of this to say dont wash your handicap ramps at lunch time. Actually our order was correct today. Total surprise. We usually try to avoid this one because our orders are always wrong. Anyway. Another Lubbock staple. It hasn't changed since college. I'm not sure the Tacorito was called the same years ago. If it was, I forgot, but it's still a genius invention. Crispy taco slathered with refried beans and glued into a tortilla to hold it all in place. Everything else was good too. Guacamole is pretty darn good for fast food too. Guy at the register didn't seem to be familiar with the menu, so maybe he's new, but it's all good. read more

I went through the drive through because I was on my lunch break and I ordered 3 burritos and a fry. They handed my bag and I thought it looked a little small but I didn't second guess anything. When I got home I found out they had forgotten my fry. read more

The food is decent but I have not once had a good guest experience at this store. Taco Villa in general has pretty awful guest service but this store is particularly bad. Whoever was working the window today, 10/19 at 10:07 was even worse than the standard horrendous guest service. Horrible attitude, not friendly or helpful, and just a generally unpleasant person. I like the breakfast tacos but frankly, it isn't worth dealing with their horrible window people. Won't be back. read more

Please see my other reviews of the other locations I've been to. I hear this is the newer location. As for accessibility, it's hard to make a left turn going north into their parking lot over a double yellow line. If you are going south, it's easy to get to. But do try this location instead of the Indiana location if you live/work in the area. The lines are much shorter and the parking lot is easier to get around. This location has the best layout of the Taco Villas I've been to. Their lighting is nice and dark. The staff is happy to be there. They are young college students. They are quick to make you happy and friendly service. Food: portions are consistent and good. Of course I did review 2 other locations and I love Taco Villa's food, especially their trotillas and beef tacos. Wow, best beef tacos in Lubbock by far. Their beef tacos are better than Abuelos. Of course I love that they are cheap too. read more

I don't really get it, the 4 and 5 star reviews for this place. I know its fast food, but I thought it was mediocre at best. The bean burrito was decent, chalupa was meh, and I have had much better red sauce. I don't have very high standards, but I guess others must have even lower standards than I do.
