This is an upgraded taco stand, with fixed canopies and folding table seating. Not a fancy place, but fancy for a taco truck. They have great tacos and tortillas were pretty good. If it is hot (IT'S YUMA) then it will be a few degrees cooler under the canopy because they have large fan coolers, but it will not be enough to change the temp as it is outdoor seating. You can call ahead, but it was a slow Sunday and there was no wait for us. We were passing through from AZ to CA and this was highly rated. Crispy fish & shrimp tacos with great self serve toppings, but the chipilona was even better. The order is to get the chipilona with shrimp or fish... next time. I'm not going to be in that position again where they can add more to my bill without my choice and force me to pay for it. What a nice lunch spot for a hungry traveler in a rush. Just down the frontage road from a major off-ramp with a number of gas stations nearby. There is something fun about Tacos El Cositas. It's more a taco stand than a restaurant with picnic tables just like the ones on any school playground. The stove is right next to the register so you can see what's being prepared for customers ahead of you as you order, which helped with ordering - I just pointed and said "I'll take two of those." We liked everything we ordered, including a couple of things I had never heard of. I was pleased that they offered surf(fish and shrimp) in addition to turf. The food came up quickly, so we didn't waste a lot of time. The place is outdoors with easy parking. Stopped by here on my way to San Diego. Super casual, large amount outdoor seating only. Most of their business is to-go during these hot summer months. Simple menu, mostly really good tacos and quesadillas and Loved the fried shrimp, pastor ( marinated pork) also had variation with Anaheim chile and jalapeño and they have a really good condiment bar to add to the food, great salsas and fixings. I was fortunate to catch them open just before they close down for a few months for summer.was told they will reopen in September. I look forward to my next stop in the fall! read more

We are already fond of the new location and it seems like business is still good. The prices here are extremely affordable and everything tastes great. Sometimes the place can get noisy and crowded, but people come and go fairly quickly. They have beverages to choose from - mostly an array of carbonated drinks - and a salsa bar for you to personalize your tacos. We usually come here for the fish/shrimp tacos.
