Amazing. Authentic. Best tacos I have had in a while.

Amazing street tacos. Perfect seasoning. Perfect amount of meat! Comes with nopal and cebollita asada on the side. Salsas are perfect too. 10/10 recommend

It was sooo good... AND I was greeted with a smile and genuine happy vibes so extra points for that. Sorry I didn't take a photo but I was too busy eating. I ordered an asada torta and chicken taco, and 3 asada tacos for my coworker. Add your own toppings. Meats are flavored well and condiments are fresh. Green salsas are amazing. The number on Yelp is his personal number. Photo is the business number he provided to order ahead.

Asada burrito topped with enchilada sauce!

So this evening we were craving a burrito but all Mexican eateries were closed or about to close. I yelped taco truck and found Tacos González. After reading some 5 star reviews me my brother and wife decided to go check it out. So it's located on 10th Ave closer to Home Gardens, close to where another taco truck would post up back in the day. Anyway while talking to the cook and waiting to order I notice some tacos made for another customer appeared to be made of white corn tortillas. I have nothing against corn tortillas except I'm not a big fan. I asked the lady and she confirmed they use only white corn tortillas. Knowing that I've visited other places in town that also only serve white corn tortillas I decided to ask her if she could share her reason why they only use white corn. She thought about it and said " I don't know". Which left me kind of stumped because I thought she would have a logical or any reason for that matter. She did promise us that their white corn do not taste like white corn due to their "plancha" griddle. She also mentioned their tripas were crispy and delicious! So at that point I thought I'm trying this out. Now I'm a tough critic and maybe harsh at times but let me tell you this place lived up to the hype. She talked the talk and walked the walk. The tortillas were cooked just right with no traces of white corn lol. The tripas were crispy and delicious. My brother even upped the ante by ordering a asada burrito covered in enchilada sauce which he and my wife said was delicious. We ordered a combination of meats to check the "tasquality and they all passed with flying colors. Let's say this place was well worth exploring and we will be back TONIGHT! Good job! ***09/10/19, stopped by again this time I tried an Asada burrito with light rice, added sour cream and cheese. However I asked the cook to dip my tortilla in an enchilada sauce before adding ingredients and rolling tortilla. He then placed it back on the flat iron and somewhat toasted the burrito. Let me tell you that's my new favorite way to get my burritos! FYI I copied my brother he got the burrito made that same way a week earlier..***

The atmosphere is a bit busy so I got my food in approx. 10 - 15 min. TACOS :: AL PASTOR TACO : The al pastor is a must try. It's nicely seasoned with lots of flavor, which makes the meats very flavorful. The seasoning taste like lots of sweet grilled onions stir fry with tomato, garlic, and cilantro. The meat is a bit warm and a little bit less juicy/nearly almost dry. It still taste pretty good. ASADA TACO : The asada seasoning is just basic salt. Nothing special. Same thing here, the meat is warm and a less juicy/near to almost dry. It still taste good though. RED SAUCE : I ask for everything on my tacos so they gave me red sauce on top. The sauce is very thick tomatoey. There's a little kick to the spice. Nothing special about the sauce. The best way to expain it is just a little kick of spicyness with very thick tomatoey sauce. It seems like they put less water on their sauce. OVERALL : I think their food is ok. It's not a 'wow and I would come back everyday.' Probably I would come back for their cheap and affordable food. Im looking for something fresh, hot and juicy with unique flavors. Not going to gatekeep this though, their al pastor seasoning is pretty unique and taste pretty good. Still, I do recommend it for a try.
