Excellent Gorditas and outstanding Beans & Rice @ $8.50.

When a food truck stays in one place for years, as have these folks, you know you might be on to something good! Atmosphere- What! Atmosphere for a food truck? Yup. As business increased they added a beautiful covered patio so you could eat protected from that brutal Florida sun. Then they added a building with two immaculate bathrooms. Finish off with a little landscaping and it's not your typical food truck anymore. Location- Wauchula is a tiny spec of dirt on your GPS screen in Central Florida. You'll probably blow buy when you are going somewhere else on Route 17. As they are open all three meals, you'll kick yourself if you don't stop and give them a try. Pro Tip- This place is soft drinks only so stop at any number of places on Route 17, as I did, and grab a cold beer to go. Food- Standard Mexican fare in all it's glory. I went with three Beef Gorditas and they were pockets of warm spicy love and just lightly fried. I added beans and rice. The beans were not mush like you get in some places but chunky and delicious. I was stuffed for $8.50. So I was sitting in the shade, sipping my ice cold Modelo, munching excellent food, and wishing this place were closer to me so I could visit at least once a week.

Incredible tacos, gorditas, and quesadillas. I wish we could have tried everything else on the menu too! PS - They only accept cash, so plan ahead! It's worth it!

This place was fantastic!!!!!! We were on our way back from picking up a new car and I was starving. It's very authentic Mexican food. The people working in the truck were super helpful in choosing what to get. And the food oh my goodness.... it was all super fresh and just delicious!!! This is a must try.

Tacos Isabel has outside seating under cover with restrooms in the rear. The food is very good, very fresh. We'll be back.

This place is GREAT! We were passing through from Orlando and were excited to try this fun outdoor taqueria. We've struggled to find tasty authentic Mexican food In our area, and were delight with each of our choices. It's clean we tried the Carnitas, Carna Asada, ceviche, Rice & Beans, Salas ... it was all good! They started up the music before we left. Bathrooms and dining area were all near and clean. Fed our family of 5 for $20!!

Five stars for Flavor and Friendly folks that work here. It is a roadside stand with picnic tables under a carport type cover. It is not fancy. It is cool. The food knocked my socks off and the prices are great! The most bang for the buck and flavor I think (of what we had) is the Guarache and the Gorditas. Tacos have great flavor (I got mine with onion and cilantro - the way the Mexican guys were getting theirs). I had Asada (steak) and Alpastor (spicy pork) and same in 2 of my gorditas - also got one with Pollo (chicken). Flavors are wonderful. The 3 Gorditas were 6.50 and so packed with flavor - they would make a great lunch if you are not a pig like me. I came by here 3 days in a row (they were closed then) and was glad today they were open today. They are open Thur, Fri, Sat and Sun. They open for lunch and are open until 8 or 9 in the evening as long as there is business. They gave us a free cup of bean soup and it was great too. I will return to this gem of a Mexican food stand. For those that like it - I saw they have Menudo. I posted some pics and will get more. I love this unpretentious authentic down to earth food stand and people are cool and the food is from heaven.

Been here two years ago and couldn't believe we were up in the area.stop in for a late lunch. Great authentic Mexican everything is prepared fresh daily and the tastes from tacos to the tortas are outstanding, a variety of deferent fillings for the tacos along with a helpful and very friendly staff. This is an out door sheltered road stop with no frills, if your looking for a sit down with waiters and frills not your stop . However if your looking for authentic tastes this is a must try .best stop for authentic Mexican and the $ is very very reasonable.

View from Hancock Rd. The place is very hard to see heading south on 71!

Quite the place for a "Food Truck"! Nice amount of food for the price. Should stop by at least once if you're going through town anyhow!

This place is amazing! To drive by it doesn't look like much but believe me it's worth the stop. I had a chicken burrito. It was delicious! Filled with chicken and rice and a side of green salsa. My husband had a gordito and a steak taco. His was just as yummy. Cost was reasonable. $12 for the food and a coke.

Do not let the looks deter you from having breakfast, lunch or dinner here. The food is truly authentic and delicious. Highly recommend!

Bring cash! Great authentic Mexican food! The pastor tacos were our favorite. We also had the asada tacos, rice and quesadillas.

I was looking for a place to grab a bite late on a Sunday night with family in tow and this place…read moreseemed busy and open on a dark and lonely highway , did not expect to find what i did inside as exterior sign was for a meat, bakery and produce place however there is a little deli counter in back that has numerous trays of things ranging from shrimp in a red sauce to pulled pork, beef with onions peppers etc, chicken and things that i am unable to try and describe etc etc plus beans, rice, and fire roasted jalapeños. Menu was vauge. We got 10 tacos of different varieties, all great. there was a slight language barrier but all taken in stride super nice people both as employees and patrons. best part is u dressed up your food; red or green salsa, onions tomatoes, lime, cilantro, pickled veg plus some other things, and it was all fresh and delicious. the pastry and breads looked awesome too. this is an older local market so take it in stride if u cant deal with rubbing shoulders with all society.......adventure is sometimes rewarded. one lone picknick bench out front. the Manager and kitchen employees were nice enough to let us eat inside as it was cold out and he overhead me saying so in parking lot before we sat down at picknik bench, they pulled out a table wiped it down grabbed some chairs and my family was set up in the warmth. Humanity is still good. Food prepared with love and knowledge always good. cons a few but it doesn't matter not splitting hairs.
