Found this yummy taco truck while driving down Charleston looking for another Mexican restaurant. We were headed to another place when we saw this one parked in the corner of a tire shop parking lot and decided to give it a try. The person who took my order was very cheerful and friendly. I really could tell all that even though he had a mask on. He was very helpful in my decision to order 3 street tacos; one beef, one chicken and one pork. I also order a chicken burrito with rice and beans. While waiting, I was able to load up the condiment cups with diced onions and parsley. There were also radishes and limes if you wanted them. I noticed the salsas were in large squeeze bottles and the guy who took my order was very helpful in letting me know the heat levels in each bottle. My order came out within about 5 minutes and we took it home. About 15 minutes later, we were sitting down to enjoy this meal. The tacos were flavorful, well seasoned and fresh. The burrito was a very good size and very tasty. You know it was packed well when it doesn't fall apart when you eat it. This taco truck is the perfect example of small business and I really am glad I found something like this to support. I will be back.

This place is the best taco truck in Vegas hands down. I go every Friday after work with my son. He loves this place too. The employees there are way cool and are very welcoming. I often bring new business to them and everyone I bring loves their food. I usually get their tacos de tripa (durada) there so cooked to perfection. Deep fried and then retried on a flat stove for an added texture of crispiness on the outer layer of meat. The taco's here make are so flavorful and make your taste buds explode! The onions and cilantro are separated unlike a lot of trucks. That's a plus for people who want cilantro but no onions or visa versa.

The vibe is pretty chill, everyone standing around juggling their drinks and food.....BECAUSE there is nowhere to sit other than a gross street ledge which I refused to sit. They definitely need some chairs of some sort but they know what they are doing. I'm sure there is a reason for not having the chairs/table set up. I see people complaining in the reviews regarding the downtown parking prices and some of the hotel garages just need your ticket validated inside the hotel before you leave-free parking peeps. Its not a secret or maybe it is. Anyways, what is better than cheap eats, flowin drinks, music and art? The whole night as usual with StrEATS was a success! =)

A…read morefestival that started out very unorganized and haphazard has become a regular fixture on my monthly calendar. I still am not sure how they decide which Saturday they are going to do this event. I've been the day after First Friday and I've been in the middle of the month. Part of the reason this gets 5 stars from me is that I live at The Ogden, so I literally walk down stairs from my place and BAM! Food Truck heaven. plus I like the addition of the local vendors selling their hand crafted wares. I'm not gonna buy most of it because its just not my style, but I'm all about small local vendors getting their shot. There's always a few regulars and a few change-ups each month. You can almost always count on Slidin Thru and Grouchy John's but the rest vary from month to month. And it's always a good mix of people in attendance. It's an all ages event so it usually draws that same crowd you see at First Friday, & it's FREE to get in so if you are in the area there is definitely no good reason to not check it out. My one main complaint is that there's around 4 or 5 tables total for the event. Therefore, there is always that awkward time after buying the food of walking around trying to find some place to post up and eat. For an event with as many attendees as this tends to get, and as much extra room as they have in the parking lot, whoever is in charge needs to get on this. It's a tiny little omission that would make a huge difference in the quality of the event.

They made up the vast majority of the turnout. This was easily confirmed by our visit to Modest Brewing Company, which only permitted entry to folks of drinking age. It had a normal amount of patronage, making it feel like being in the eye of the storm. Main Street was overcrowded along the entire stretch of the Arts District, between Bonneville Avenue on the north end, and Oakey Boulevard on the south end. Anyone age 21 or above will feel too old to be there, and therefore never return to this event. This effect will reinforce itself, such that the event has permanently shifted to the under-21 crowd. Consequently, bars will have a modest--no pun intended--revenue boost, at best, on the first Friday of each month. Not surprisingly, parking was a lost cause. So, we parked on the side streets near The STRAT. On the bright side, the double chocolate chip cookie I had from Cookies A'More was amazing. I also enjoyed the Waffles Belgian blonde ale at Modest Brewing; the Candy Bar Kiloton stout at Able Baker Brewing; and the Crispy Cauliflower Bánh Mì at Arts District Kitchen.

So this time around, I tried LBS Patty Wagon's Ahi Sliders which were kinda disappointing because the ahi was seared ahead of time so it was practically a cold slider. We decided to eat over at a nearby taco joint in the end. Both of us got their D.U.I. Dog, which has pastrami, carne asada, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, a ton of cilantro and chipotle aioli (a mayonnaise kind of sauce). Very packed with flavor with all the meats inside, and the cheese melts so well inside the hot dog. They even put this inside a relatively big carton container, the same kind I've seen the staff put their D.U.I. Fries in... holy crap those are some huge portions!
