We were greeted and seated immediately. Once seated, our server came by with chips and salsa in a cute little bottle. We got side dishes to pour the salsa into. It's very mild, which is fine with me (just a hint of spicy, barely). The gentleman was very pleasant and took our order. The iced tea ($3) came from a coffee machine, so the coffee smell was infused; we returned, but it came back pretty much the same way. I feel like brewing a big pot of tea would be so much better. Also, there was very little ice in the tea, and he didn't initially bring lemon. I feel like someone should do some research on what iced teach really should look like. Iced tea done correctly is a really big deal and adds/subtracts from the dining experience. I appreciate that he was willing to redo it though. I ordered the carne asada platter ($15). It was a good size piece of meat, slightly seasoned, but not salty as most places. I enjoyed the rice and refried beans that it came with. It was advertised as sliced avocado but came as guacamole. All items were perfect in seasoning for me, but others might say that it's bland (there's salt and pepper for that!). My friend ordered the combo #1 ($11) but wasn't as successful. It didn't say what type of enchilada; she wanted cheese, but it came with meat. They were very nice about redoing it though, but in the end, she didn't like the cheese. One can choose from either beans or rice, but the server didn't ask; she wanted beans, but it came with rice; however, she didn't send that back. The learning would be for both sides to ask for preference (more on the server side because customers may not be aware or remember). If you need to split the bill, you bring the check to the cashier and say how you want the bill split. In all, I would come again because it was more to my taste, and I appreciated that the employees we interacted were service oriented.

We stopped in at La Fiesta after a long day of driving from Dallas, TX on our spring break…read moreroadtrip. We were greeted by friendly staff, a really prompt waitress, and the restaurant was clean & had great background music! We are spoiled with excellent Mexican food, living in Texas, and so I think that's a necessary disclaimer before I continue. The food arrived exactly as ordered, we chose the chicken & beef combo fajitas, corn tortillas, with the rice & bean side "for two". The food came to the table sizzling hot, and smelled wonderful! It was mild in flavor, and didn't have much spice. The menu cover clearly stated the food is mild, and for additional heat they provide hot sauce. So, I food was still as-expected. My only criticism is that the veggie to meat ratio was very off. There were a TON of bell peppers & onions, and not much meat. I was only able to make 2 tacos out of the meat on the platter, and the second taco had hardly any meat, mostly veggies & I added beans & rice to the mix just to have a full taco. Overall, I'd be happy to stop in at this restaurant again, and would try a different meal! The fajitas were good, just VERY mild in taste, and there was not enough meat on the platter.

I had the Cancun platter and it was good- Admittedly we are spoiled with a couple of fabulous Mexican restaurants we frequent, and all others seem to fall short. Service was a home run and super pleasant. Ice cream was a great finish!
