Our last visit was during the COVID-19 era. Everyone I saw (employees and customers) all had masks and were very respectful. The employees have always been very nice and helpful when I have visited. The shelves are always stocked and I have never experienced an issue with not getting exactly what I came for. This Walmart and the one in Richland, Wisconsin, are the 2 best Walmarts I have ever visited in regard to cleanliness, friendliness, and dependability. A few weeks ago my father in-law messaged me asking to keep an eye open for New Belgium Oakspire beer. It's a limited release and he was a fan last year (which was a chore to find) and he wasn't to get some if I ran across any. I went to New Beligiums website and found that the nearest grocery store that carried it was Econofoods in Sturgeon Bay. Sturgeon Bay is a 2 hour drive from my home, but I like taking drives and it was autumn so I figured, screw it, I will take half a day off work and take a drive to get some beer for my in-law (and a 6 pack for myself). I called Econofoods asking if they had the beer. They took my number down and said they would check and call me back. The made good on this and called me in about 15 minutes, letting me know that they had the beer and that they would set however many I wanted aside for me to come and pick up. It was raining cats and dogs when I left, so my idea of a nice autumn drive went out the window. Even better, once I got into town my cars check engine light came on. I didn't think much of it, but almost immediately after getting onto bridge on 57 my car gave me a warning that my transmission was overheating. Yikes! I pulled over, found a mechanic, and got into a loner car and then headed over to Econofoods. They tons of the beer I was looking for, I loaded up the cart (completely forgetting that they had set aside beer for me) and headed home. A week later, about when I was going to return to pick up my car, I received a voice mail from Econofoods saying that they still had my beer up at the desk and asked me if I was going to be coming in to pick it up. A WEEK LATER. I felt like a total dick for leaving them hanging like that, but was taken back by the fact that not only had they held onto it for me, but that they took the time to call me back and leave me a message. Today at 8:30 am there were NO staff at checkout. I had to scan 1 $120.00 of food myself as the computer yelled at me that I was not putting it in the bag. This is a Kroger store. How can Kroger put up with this lack of customer service. I was at Walmart yesterday to try to avoid going to Pick and Save. The computer for checkout is great and they have plenty of staff . However the food stuffs are not as quality as I would like . I have returned from Florida where Publix was the grocery store and is outstanding. Kroger might want to take a look!! Customer service is important. I am tempted to drive 45 minutes to get to Festival Food in Green Bay. It might actually be faster than shopping at Pick and Save in Sturgeon Bay .

We loaded up on local favorites with the intention of giving them as gifts at Christmas time. Christmas shopping = done. If you want a one-stop-shop Grandma Tommy's sells wines from all of the local wineries, local beer, cheeses and in-house baked pies. They sell all sorts of jams & butters, jarred items including cherries. I can't speak to whether or not all of those products were local, or if they were produced elsewhere and just have a Grandma Tommy's label on them. Souvenirs and gift items. I bought a cute Door Co. ornament and they have everything from mugs to aprons and some Greenbay Packers merchandise. They had several pies in their display case that looked delicious. I assume these were baked there, though I don't know if they were made there. They were taking holiday pie orders when we visited, so they must be extremely popular. While we browsed the main building one of the employees working showed us how to located the other sales floor that had the bulk of the wine and spirits for sale. More loading up we did. We left spending around $150 on a large amount of stuff. Several bottles of local wine, coffee and cheese curds, New Glarius beer, and more. The prices are just a little more at Grandma's than going straight to the source, but this is one place you can browse everything Door Co. has to offer. The woman that checked us out was super friendly. She did a nice job of packing up our wine for the long drive back home. She asked us where we were on our visit. When we told her we were just getting started she gave us a nice Door Co. map and told us that the further north we got the worse our cell service would be. Open, airy shopping experience. Clean and tidy. Well stocked. Nice variety. Fair prices. Large parking lot. The exterior of the building was beautifully decorated for the fall season. Highly recommend Grandma Tommy's.
