Small brand owned boutique with uninspired staff that doesn't respect their posted open hours…read more Came to NYC over a weekend and hoped to see some Panerais, but was surprised to find their doors locked well within their open hours. I then called their number expecting either someone to pick up, apologize, and open up the door, or an outgoing voicemail message with why they weren't open. Neither was the case. Store was small and a little boring. I've since chalked that up less to the collection, and rather to the lack of enthusiasm and charisma of the staff. When we walked in (they were open the next day, but I did call first), one person was on the phone and never made eye contact despite speaking loudly on the phone in the otherwise very quiet boutique. The saleswoman who eventually spoke to us held back for a while just watching us. When she did speak she just kept shoving different models under our noses without any real regard to what we might be interested in. While I do recognize that it isn't always easy decipher tastes right away, it just seemed very haphazard. If I wasn't already familiar with the brand, I probably would have left just as clueless as when I walked in and probably a little unimpressed/annoyed that I wasted my time in there. Of note, I have been to Panerai Boutiques around the world, and this was the first time I wanted to leave after 5 minutes.

Amazingly careless people work here, took a brand new watch that needed a battery here figuring…read moreit's a harmless task that just about any place could do. I couldn't be any more wrong. After leaving the watch with them and returning to pick my watch up I come to find out the watch has been severely gouged and marked up on the pack where the housing was pried open with an inappropriate tool to replace the battery(Looks as if opened with knife or screw driver) When confronted as to how they could do this to a brand new watch and what would they do to rectify the situation! I was told they could take the new battery out; put the old battery back in and I could let someone else open up the watch and scratch it up again because it's a hard watch to open. After debating back and forth for few a minutes the best response I could get out of them is that they could buff the gouges out. Now after mangling my watch for a 5$ battery why would I leave my watch with these same people to destroy my watch even further or possibly do something even more damaging to my watch when they so incompetently failed at replacing a battery. If the watch couldn't be opened without damaging it, it should have been left alone and brought to my attention and been told to take it someplace that maybe has more experience in removing backings of watches for battery replacement. Some are probably reading this and going well what do you expect or it couldn't be that bad. I decided to take the watch to a professional watch repair shop to see if polishing or buffing would be able to take care of the damage. It was explained to me that the watch is beyond repair and buffing or polishing would do nothing to alleviate the markings as well as they wouldn't even attempt repairing the watch because it would just make it worst. Pretty much a 150$ watch just got junked for a 5$ battery. At least my watch still works! If that's worth anything!

She went over all the details on the service she was so helpful. I got my camera back within 3 days. They did a great job and it was so worth it. Please note that day are only open Monday-Friday. It would be awesome if they had maybe one late day or 1/2 day on Saturday. In any case I was happy to have my camera back and am worry free as it was Serviced by Canon official rather than a local Camera shop. I'll definitely be back!
