Visiting Cincinnati for the first time, went looking for a pizzeria.Discovered Taglio in OTR. I went for the deep dish, tomato sauce, mozzarella and garlic. Incredible!! It kept coming on and off my list to try, mainly because the thin crust pizza didn't look impressive, but then I'd see that they do Detroit. I ordered a Detroit style margherita. They ran a reasonably efficient takeout operation, and like everything else in the area it was packed so I was glad I didn't hang around. The pizza crisped nicely. Their interpretation of a margherita didn't have enough tomato for my liking, but the basil was just enough. The small size they offer is basically half of what you'd think of as a Detroit style, which is okay by me because the large is probably tough to finish in one setting. Despite the relative lack of sauce, something in the cheese or dough was overly salty, and I do hate it when I spend the night getting up to repeatedly drink a ton of water to cancel it out. The thin crust pizza looked even less impressive in person, and the Detroit style was satisfying but not great. A pretty middle of the road experience for me. read more

I walked into today and because I was treated rudely and advised them of this rather than an apology I was told iwas not going to be allowed to get food there. Evidently the owner. Knows 2 things: ice cream, and blaming customers for a rude employee. Great New York Style pizza. We ordered 3 large pizzas for 7 women. We were able to finish 2 pizzas, so we had 8 slices/one pizza as leftovers. Bianco tasted very good, but my favorite was the pepperoni + hot honey. A little sticky from the honey but it was salty and sweet and just what I wanted. My friend placed the order online at 8:30 on Saturday and we were given an estimated delivery time of 90 minutes to 2 hours, which we weren't happy about but we thought it is what it is because it was Saturday night after all. We went to Taglio with the plan of getting a drink and app at the bar while we waited on our takeout pizza. Our bartender was fantastic and talked us through the menu very well as it was our first time there. She made it a great experience for us! They have two beers on tap that are made specifically to pair with their pizza sauce. Everything is house made and their dough is freshly made every day! Thick, deep dish pizzas with a slightly sweeter tomato sauce, crispy pepperoni, and a slew of toppings piled on. You're gonna make a mess in the best way possible. Price is slightly higher than the rest of the area, but you're in OTR so it's to be expected. Service was friendly, but also refreshingly chill. You didn't feel pushed to order immediately, and they kept the ambience casual. There's a lot of TVs that are playing whenever there's a game, so anticipate it being on the louder side. It doesn't quite have the street cred as Mikey's, but Taglio is about to be a very big fish in the Cincinnati pizza pond. read more

This is located in the place of where Lachey's used to be - so it has room on the inside - the staff seemed nice enough. The issue is the price & what you receive for that price . . $12 for 4 normal sized mozzarella sticks - I expected them to be a bigger size because of a picture seen on social media but I was left majorly disappointed. $17 for a small detroit style margarita pizza add prosciutto - the pizza was pretty good but my crust on some pieces was so hard I ended up breaking a tooth - my tooth was already weak but still - the crushed tomatoes were so overpowering on the pizza but I had no option to do light - the proscuitto was crisp and plentiful - that I was happy about. Best pizza in Cincinnati! They have two styles which are both great, and you can get any pizza in either style. Their drinks and beer selection is good too. We can always find a spot at the bar, and usually there's no issue getting a table even when it's busier. The service is always pretty quick too. Delicious pizza made for people who appreciate their taste buds. When I came to this location I feared parking would be terrible with it being OTR, but it wasn't bad and of course they have no control over the parking. The service was timely and without incident which was good because they were busy and it says something when they're busy and yet still efficient without you felling rushed. Food and drink was great and paired very well. Televisions were well placed so I could see several things at once which I appreciate. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Come for the special stay for the fun. They have a very respectable lunch special, and also a happy hour. These might get you in the door but the atmosphere itself will keep you there. So if you're skeptical about the food or the speed of service for lunchtime, have no fear try it out and you'll fair well. 2) Try the Detroit Deep Dish pizza. I love the test and texture of it. If you like a lot of sauce on your pizza you'll love this. And even if you've never tried Detroit Deep Dish give this one a shot and see what happens to your mouth, spoiler alert it Thanks you. I recently visited on a Sunday, opted for the hot honey Detroit style, it was a good change of pace, I'm typically a New York style, and I live and die by Goodfellas . Despite the heavier base, there was a perfect balance of sauce and toppings The staff was their cordial and friendly. This restaurant has definitely piqued my interest, and I look forward to coming back to explore their other pizza style. I like to say my husband and I are pizza connoisseurs since we hail from a very Italian part of Wisconsin as well as having a good bit in our blood. Taglio was such a delicious experience and the vibes were immaculate! The New York style crust was baked perfectly and matched very well with the pizza lager. We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread, which was super good too. The bread took slightly longer to come out, so the manager gave us some mozzarella sticks on the house. I LOVE their Detroit pizza, perfect buttery, garlicky crust and delicious melty cheese. I had a scoop of the cookies and cream gelato for dessert which was a bit small for $5, but very tasty. My absolute favorite pizza in Cincinnati and possibly ever! I love the pepperoni hot honey pizza! I prefer to get it Detroit style, but the New York style is also incredible. The Detroit style is made even better by ordering it with extra sauce! Otherwise, the edges tend to be just bread (very good bread, but I love sauce). I can conveniently order it to be delivered to my house for a $5 fee (which is what I normally do) or I can pickup or dine inside. We ordered Caesar salad (very good) and a medium half pepperoni and honey and half buffalo chicken pizza. The pepperoni honey half was good but nothing exceptional. The Buffalo chicken half tasted like bacon chicken ranch pizza - zero Buffalo flavor on the pizza. I asked for crushed red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese for the pizza and they charged for the Parmesan cheese which I thought was a bit much.
